Vishal’s upcoming movie Irumbu Thirai has now been postponed to 26th Jan, 2017. Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai has been now been postponed from Pongal to 26th Jan, 2017. In fact Vishal recently unveiled a special poster of the film to announce the new release plan. As Vishal was busy with RK Nagar by – election, the shoot & the post production works of Irumbu Thirai got delayed, which in turn pushed the film from the Pongal release. Directed by debutante Mithran, Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays Vishal’s romantic interest in the film & Action King Arjun will be seen in a negative role. Produced by Vishal Film Factory, George C Williams of Kaththi fame has cranked the camera for Irumbu Thirai & Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music.

Arun Vijay Confirms

Of late Arun Vijay confirmed that he is not enacting a negative role in Saaho. Earlier it was rumored that Arun Vijay plays a negative role in Prabhas’ magnum opus action entertainer film Saaho. Now, in a recent media interaction, Arun Vijay confirmed that his role doesn’t have any negative shades. The Yennai Arindhaal baddie says that he has only a few schedules left in the film. Directed by Sujeeth, Shraddha Kapoor plays the female lead in Saaho & Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy trio is composing the music for this trilingual film, which will be simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi. Besides Saaho, Arun Vijay’s heroic crime thriller film Thadaam with director Magizh Thirumeni is nearing completion and he is also getting ready for his 25th film, which is likely to be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Kootam’s Tamil Nadu rights sold. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam Thaanaa Serndha Kootam’s (TSK) has recently been snapped up by R Vishwanathan of Bharathan Films for a whopping price. Previously, R Films has bought the overseas rights to the film. The digital streaming rights & satellite rights are procured by Amazon & Sun TV respectively. Produced by Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green, the team is working round the clock to send the final copy to censor officials. Vignesh ShivN of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan fame is the director of Thaanaa Serndha Kootam, which also has Ramya Krishnan, Keerthi, Senthil & Karthik in important roles. Thaanaa Serndha Kootam’s Telugu version Gang will also be simultaneously releasing along with the original version for Pongal / Sankranthi 2018.

Sneha To Enact The Role Of Sivakarthikeyan’s Sister

Sneha is all set to enact the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s sister in Velaikkaran. At a recent press meet of Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan revealed that Sneha plays his sister in the film. He averred, “Velaikkaran has given me the confidence to carry roles with substance. I loved Thani Oruvan and wanted to be in Mohan Raja’s film”. Sivakarthikeyan also stated that Prakash Raj enacts the role of a person who controls the slum in Velaikkaran. Talking about the “stalking” factor in Remo, Sivakarthikeyan averred, “I felt targeted on seeing such allegations. Remo is a comedy film, do people really sit & decode Vadivelu’s comedies?” Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran is slated to release on 22nd Dec, 2017. After completing the promotional tour of Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan will resume the shoot of his as yet untitled rural entertainer with his Rajini Murugan director Ponram. He also confirmed doing a sci – fi film with Indru Netru Naalai director Ravikumar.

Suriya has finished shooting for Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, he will be joining the sets of Selvaraghavan’s film in Jan, 2018. Suriya is also said to be in discussion with Irudhi Suttru director Sudha Kongara for a film, which is likely to be produced by the actor’s own production house 2D Entertainment.

Earlier on Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has agreed to do a hockey based film for Sundar C. The auspicious pooja event of the film happened earlier on in Chennai. Debutant director Parthipan Desingh will be helming the project. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi is expected to compose music for this as yet untitled film while the rest of the cast & the crew will be confirmed in the coming days. The Late actress Kalpana’s daughter Sreesankhya becomes a heroine. Sreesankhya, the daughter of the late actress Kalpana, makes her debut as a heroine in Kunjiyammayum Anju Makkalum. Kalpana, one of the most versatile female actresses in Malayalam, has won the National award for the “Best Supporting Actress” for her performance in Thanichalla Njan. She passed away last year, in Hyderabad, where she was shooting for the Telugu movie Oopiri. Sreesankhya is currently doing her graduation in Visual Communications. Kunjiyammayum Anju Makkalum, directed by Sumesh Lal, has Kalabhavan Shajon, Irshad, Pashanam Shaji, Sreejith Ravi & Binu Pappu in the cast. The shooting of the film starts in Jan, next year.

Atharvaa Murali & Hansika’s romantic comedy film has started rolling recently. In fact Hansika is now all set to start shooting for a new film with Atharvaa Murali. Sam Anton, who made the hit horror comedy Darling & Enakku Innoru Per Irukku will be helming the as yet untitled film, which will have music composed by Sam CS of Vikram Vedha fame. To be bankrolled by Auraa Cinemas, the film has started rolling from 10th Dec, 2017. Kavya Venugopal from Auraa Cinemas said “Hansika & Atharvaa’s pair is unique & fresh, it has created an excitement in the trade. We are confident about Sam Anton’s script.” The romantic entertainer is likely to be released by the 1st half of 2018.

Most wanted editor Ruben is in charge for the cuts & National award winning Ilaiyaraaja will take care of the production design of this as yet untitled film.

To make Rajinikanth’s birthday on 12th Dec, 2017 a special visual treat. Dhanush launched a new poster of Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Kaala. On 12th Dec, 2017 marking the birthday of Superstar Rajinikanth, as the actor had announced that he would not be meeting his fans, they were mighty disappointed but Dhanush, producer of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kaala surprised them by unveiling a new posterof rajnikanths upcoming film Kaala. The poster has Wunderbar Films but the new surprise addition is Lyca Productions, who is said to have recently partnered with Dhanush. Directed by Ranjith, Kaala boasts of an ensemble cast of actors including Samuthirakani, Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Eswari Rao, Anjali Patil, Sayaji Shinde, Sampath Raj, Arvind Akash, Sayaji Shinde & Sakshi Aggarwal. Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for the film & Murali G is cranking the camera. Kaala is slated to release in the 2nd half of 2018.

Vijayakanth recently confirmed that Maduraveeran is all set to release for Pongal 2018. Veteran actor & politician Vijayakanth has confirmed that his son Shanmugapandian’s rural action entertainer Maduraveeran will be releasing for Pongal 2018. Vijayakanth also added that the song “Enna Nadakuthu Naatla” perfectly describes the current political situation in Tamil Nadu and it is being played at the RK Nagar by -election. Directed by cinematographer PG Muthiah, Meenakshi plays the female lead in the film which also has Samuthirakani, Vela Ramamoorthy, Balasaravanan, Mime Gopi, G Marimuthu & Rajendran in important roles. Santhosh Dhayanidhi is composing the music for the film & Praveen KL takes care of the cuts. Besides Maduraveeran, Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Kalakalappu 2 & Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai are also slated for Pongal release.

Nivin Is Not A Part Of Viswasam

Nivin is not a part of Viswasam & Yuvan Shankar Raja to score the music. 2 things are confirmed about Thala Ajith’s Viswasam. Sathya Jyothi Films, producers of the film have officially confirmed that Yuvan Shankar Raja is on board to score music for the film. Contrary to reports doing the rounds that Nivin Pauly is a part of the film, the actor has denied the same. To be directed by Siva of Veeram & Vedalam fame, Vetri will crank the camera for Viswasam & Ruben will take care of the cuts. The principal shoot of the film will begin in Jan, 2018 and the theatrical release is scheduled for Diwali 2018.

Pawan Kumar, who made the original Kannada version of U-Turn will be directing the film. “The project is in talks for a long time. Pawan Kumar has made necessary changes to suit the Tamil nativity”, said a source close to the team. Though the Kannada version received positive reviews, people who have seen the film suggested the director & actress to change the climax in the remake so we can expect a slight change in the Tamil version. Besides U – Turn remake, Samantha Akkineni has a yet untitled film with Sivakarthikeyan, Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai & Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe in the pipeline.
