Congress backs JD-S on Karnataka government formation

The Congress on Tuesday said it had offered its backing to the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) to form a government in Karnataka following a hung Assembly.

Party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said the party had preliminary telephonic talk with both JD-S chief and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and his son and former Chief Minister. H.D. Kumaraswamy over government formation.

“They have accepted the offer,” Azad said in the company of outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Assembly election took place on Saturday and the Bharatiya Janata Party finished as the single largest group in the 224-seat house. Two constituencies did not vote.

“We will meet the Governor and stake claim for government formation… Our numbers put together will be more than the BJP’s,” Azad said.

I am sure you were planning for good health and maintenance all this while but you never got that external support so u never started up, Monday goes and another Monday comes.

But here you go with tremendous support of this special month RAMZAN…buckle up to make your body healthy and remember let your intention (niyat ) be for the sake of ALĹAH.

Do not have the fasting  intentions of loosing weight or dieting during this month, as Allah knows better . But being healthy or getting good health for the sake of ALĹAH is another accountable task in Ramzan for which every Muslim can be rewarded.

As a DIETICIAN i want  to give you a guideline in brief .

First meal of the fasting day: SUHOOR ( sehri) – this is a simple breakfast, eating full and nonstop in Sehri assuming you might feel hungry in the day or you might feel weak is very wrong assumption. no matter how full u eat ,  body will use stored up fat later the whole day. So think on that point your body needs to be prepared with good energy stores and not just filling stomach.

Let your Sehri include whole grains (barley, brown rice, wheat,oats, rice)

Barley mentioned can be consumed as barley water before tahajud or over the night!!!

millet like( ragi,jowar )

milk product – curd( homemade only)

fibrous vegetables: beans , carrots, cabbage , beetroot , cauliflower.ridge gourd, ladies finger etc

Lentils: chickpeas, kidney beans , soya beans etc

Dals: any.

So by now I’m sure all the readers are offended .. But guess what I haven’t spoken about our dearest non veg options.

In every subzi preparation minced meat is certainly used.so keep going.be happy to include those organ parts  in Sehri. Ofcourse it’s your breakfast choose king options.but prioritise as above mainly.

Options above are just a few suggestions for you but those are examples of what needs to be included for a healthy sehri. So with those examples you will have a list mentioned in your kitchen.

Do not have thick Gravies  made of coconut and sauces.avoid deep fried or Chinese cookery in Sehri

So moving to the best part of the fast: IFTAAR- when first breaking the fast go for plenty of fluids , low fat, fluid rich foods and choose those foods containing natural sugar for instant energy ( avoid added sugar drinks , many to mention but I cannot mention) with the help of description above be your own dietician.

Hence your IFTAAR includes.

Drinks: water, milk, fruit juice without excess sugar,milkshakes, laban.tender coconut water.

Dates:if I talk about it’s advantages even the diabetic patient will start consuming it.dates are advanced form of GATORADE.i can give options for the ones who are restricted by their doctors for consuming dates ( figs, raisins, apricots).

Fruit: many to mention.. just relish .

And now allow those creations of ALĹAH ( fruits)before consuming your creations( other foods) to give you magical powers and health. . So attend your MUGHRIB SALAH.until you read your salah your system inside does beautiful process for your beautiful body and soul. Indeed.

Post MUGHRIB:

I’m sure the IFTAAR table is filled with variety of outside food items, do enjoy but prioritise first as mentioned mainly.

Soup: meat broth, ganji  ( rice , wheat , semolina).

Poha , seviyaan, dalia, sabudana khichdi.

Or have your dinner directly like options as Fish and rice, mutton biryani raita, chicken Korma and Ghee rice, egg curry and paratha.

Let it be a happy ending.!

Keep yourself light and contended as you are supposed to stand for the big namaz of the fasting day.

Isha followed by taraweeh.

Remember the night needs your ibadat… keep sipping as much water over the night. Keep aside a bottle of yours to know it’s quantity of consumption.

If you are a tea or coffee lover . Avoid immediately after a meal give a gap of 20 mins to enjoy your tea or coffee.

Akshay Kumar & Twinkle Khanna Served With A Legal Notice

Just recently Akshay Kumar & Twinkle Khanna have been served with a legal a legal notice. 11 serving defence officers & 8 others have sent a legal notice to actors Akshay Kumar & Twinkle Khanna, accusing the Bollywood couple of “playing with the sentiment” of the armed forces by putting up for auction a naval costume from the Hindi film Rustom.

The group, which also included the wife of a Navy man & 7 retired officers, said that it was offensive that the actors had listed the costume as an “original naval uniform”.

“Uniforms resembling those of the armed forces pose a potential threat to national security as the said uniform, insignia & badges could pass off for genuine service clothing and can find their way to anti-national elements who in turn can use it to foment trouble,” the notice stated.

A copy of the notice has also been sent to the auction house Salt Scout and the office of the defence minister. The officers urged the minister to take action against the actors and to stop the auctioning of the outfit that Akshay Kumar wore in the 2016 film, a fictional account loosely based on the real-life case of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati, charged with & then acquitted of killing his wife.

“…by putting in auction “Akshay Kumar’s Rustom Naval Officer Uniform” you have shown no respect for national interest but have also played with the sentiments of armed forces personnel and their widows including my clients, who are retired, as well as serving armed forces officials & their family members,” the notice read.

Akshay Kumar had put the outfit up for the auction on 26th Apr, 2018 in support of an NGO working for the cause of animal rescue & welfare.

“Hi, all I’m thrilled to announce that you can bid to win the actual naval officer uniform I wore in Rustom. Auction’s proceeds will support the cause of animal rescue & welfare. Place your bid at http://www.SaltScout.com,” he wrote. The bid, which will end on 26th May, 2018, currently stands Rs at 2,35,000.

Urvashi Rautela On A Clarification Spree


Urvashi Rautela recently stated that as of now she only want to focus on her work, and not to get involved in any more controversies. “No more controversy. Only Focus on work.” Seems to be the latest mantra of Urvashi rautela Urvashi Rautela.
Just like any other business, Bollywood also has people with conflicting opinions & false allegations. However, the difference lies in the fact that most of our snide remarks fade away in no time but the statements or false allegations on celebrities kick off controversies and become decorated headlines in no time.
Since few days many things have been said & written on none other than Urvashi Rautela, her manager Prashant as well as her upcoming untitled movie. Buzz is, a certain make-up artiste is miffed with Urvashi Rautela & her manager because of his behavior. It’s also written that Urvashi is throwing tantrums & irking everybody on the sets of the film, where she is playing a character of a middle-class girl, Bhanupriya.
When contacted Prashant, Urvashi’s manager, stated, “There wasn’t any offensive exchange between us. It’s a false story and every bit of the story has been twisted. It’s true that because of the unavailability of a certain make-up artiste, we had to hire another one for the movie, but it’s also true that ditching a film in the middle of it and taking up another work, is unprofessional. So I just asked him to give me in writing. It has been twisted & turned into a controversy which is really sad.
Talking about the real story, Urvashi Rautelas averred, “These things keep happening and people will say things, but that doesn’t mean it’s true and I don’t react to everything. I don’t want to put my focus & energy on anything else except my film. Even the movie I am doing because of the beautiful script though the director is making a debut with this film.”

Mr Bawa complaint againt EVM malfunction,

Congress candidate from Mangaluru North constituency Moideen Bawa has raised suspicions of EVM malfunctioning and has said that he would take up the matter with the Election Commission.

Bawa who is trailing to BJP’s Dr Bharath Shetty by over 28,900 votes, while speaking to media persons said, “I have been working for the development of this constituency for last five years. It is suprising that BJP candidate Dr Bharat, whose name had been announced only some time back has gained such a huge margin. I suspect EVM malfunction and will raise the matter with the Election Commission.”

Meanwhile, Congress leaders JR Lobo of Mangaluru South and Ramanath Rai of Bantwal constituency too were seen leaving the venue early in light of the impeding defeat.

Stalin congratulates Yeddyurappa

DMK leader M.K. Stalin on Tuesday congratulated BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate B.S. Yeddyurappa for his party’s victory in the Karnataka Assembly election.

In a tweet, Stalin also told the new government in Karnataka to release the Cauvery water due to Tamil Nadu without defying the Supreme Court verdict on the river row.

There is no question of alliance with JD(S), says Sadananda Gowda

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former chief minister of Karnataka Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday scoffed away the possibilities of allying with the JD(S) and expressed confidence of his party forming an independent government in the state.

“There is no question of alliance (with JDS) as we are already crossing 112 seats,” claimed Gowda.

The latest trends in the counting of votes show the BJP is leading in the race to the Karnataka State Assembly, having claimed 101 seats, while the Congress trails with just 46 seats won, 38 seats going to the JDS and three seats being claimed by other parties.

Counting of votes began at 8 am for 222 out of 224 assembly constituencies in 58,546 polling stations in the state. The elections in two constituencies, Jayanagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar, both in Bengaluru, had been postponed earlier.

A total of 2,654 candidates, including 216 women candidates were in the fray for the Assembly Elections this year. The BJP fielded 223 candidates, while the Congress and the JDS fielded 222 and 201 candidates respectively.

Out of the 224 seats, 36 of them are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs), while 15 of them are for Scheduled Tribes (STs).

It may be noted that a party or an alliance needs 112 seats to form the government.

Chandy gets partial relief in solar scam case

Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday got partial relief in the solar scam scam case as the High Court said allegations of sexual exploitation against him need not be taken into account.

The court’s direction came while hearing Chandy’s petition over the solar scam Commission report. It said findings of the commission based on the letter of accused Saritha Nair which alleges sexual exploitation need not be considered.

However, the court failed to stay the ongoing probe based on the Commission report, which was also another demand of Chandy.

Chandy, approached the court demanding the one member Justice (retired) Sivarajan Commission be stayed as it had gone beyond its brief, and the letter of Saritha was never part of the Commission’s terms of reference. Hence, the probe that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ordered based on the letter should not take place.

The multi-crore solar energy investment fraud that rocked the Chandy government in 2013 was led by Saritha Nair and her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan, as it came to light that a section of the Chief Minister’s office had links with the couple.

The sleaze letter written by Nair when she was in jail names Chandy and numerous other top Congress leaders of sexually exploiting her.

Following the huge public outcry led by the then Left opposition, Chandy in 2014 announced that the Sivarajan Commission will probe the case.

With the change of government in 2016, the report was submitted last year to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Last year, on October 11, Vijayan told the media the judicial report had been accepted, adding that cases would be registered against Chandy and others based on Nair’s letter that claimed she was sexually exploited.

Later, the former Kerala Chief Minister approached the high court and brought in senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal as his counsel.

Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said the manner in which Vijayan tried to finish off political rivals based on a ‘letter’ has fallen flat and the very basis of the Commission report also has lost its credibility.
