Nasheman News :The BJP on Wednesday rejected as “baseless” the opposition’s charge of its “blatant politicisation of the armed forces’ sacrifices” and said such allegations help Pakistan as their media is using this against India.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley urged the opposition parties to introspect over their joint statement in which they expressed their deep anguish over the “blatant politicisation of the sacrifices of the armed forces” by leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a series of tweets, Jaitley said that the “ill-advised” statement was being used by Pakistan to bolster its case.
“The Cross Border terror attack in Pulwama was a reality. The Balakot Operation was India’s anti-terror pre-emptive strike to defend its sovereignty.
“The whole nation has spoken in one voice. Why then is India’s opposition alleging that the government is politicising our anti-terror operations?
“My appeal to India’s opposition – let the country speak in one voice. Please introspect – your ill advised statement is being used by Pakistan to bolster its case,” he said.
Union Minister and party leader Prakash Javadekar also told a press conference earlier that the opposition’s allegations were baseless.
“There is no politicisation of the issue and we don’t even wish to. But did the opposition ever thought how their statement can be misused? Their statement has become news for Pakistani media,” he said.
He said such statements by opposition leaders sends a message that the country is not united.
“Pakistan, the Pakistani Army and the Pakistani media is happy with the statement of 21 opposition parties. Such statements create trouble. The opposition should think whether their remarks are appropriate or not,” he said.
Leaders of major opposition parties, who met here, issued a joint statement later.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala hit back at the Jaitley and said it is the BJP and its leadership which require real introspection.
“Entire opposition stood as one backing the armed forces and the government. Still, Amit Shah & entire BJP resorted to credit seeking for the sacrifice of our martyrs & indulged in blaming the Congress provocatively,” he said in a tweet.

CBSE cautions students against ‘fake news’
Nasheman News : The CBSE on Wednesday advised students to not fall for fake videos/messages on social media and warned of legal action against those who concoct and spread such messages.
“It has been noticed in the past that certain unscrupulous elements spread rumours by posting fake videos/messages on You Tube, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms, obviously with the intention of spreading confusion and panic among students, parents, schools and public,” the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said in a circular.
“Through this notice, persons involved in such activities are warned and advised to restrain themselves,” it said, adding necessary legal action will be taken against those found indulging in such acts.
The message was, apparently, intended to counter any fake news on question paper leaks that may cause anxiety among students.
Though such incidents occur in every examination season, last year the question papers of accountancy and mathematics were leaked for real, bringing the board under widespread criticism.
India demand immediate, safe return of pilot in Pak custody
Nansheman News : India on Wednesday said Pakistan has committed an “unprovoked act of aggression” by targeting Indian military posts with its air force and sought immediate and safe return of an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot in its custody.
After an aerial engagement in the J&K’s Nowshera sector on Wednesday, Pakistan claimed that it has captured one Indian pilot, identified as Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, a MiG 21 Bison pilot.
India has issued a demarche to Pakistan, objecting to the “vulgar display” of the injured IAF pilot in violation of all norms and said Islamabad must ensure that no harm is done to the Indian defence personnel in its custody.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) also summoned Pakistan’s acting High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah and lodged a strong protest at “the unprovoked act of aggression by Pakistan against India earlier today, including violation of the Indian air space by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and targeting of Indian military posts.”
It also gave Pakistan a dossier with specific details of Jaish-e-Mohammed’s complicity in the February 14 Pulwama terror attack, which killed 40 CRPF personnel.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been asking India to provide “actionable intelligence” to take action against those involved in the Pulwama attack. JeM, based in Pakistan, had claimed responsibility for the attack.
The MEA said in a statement it was clearly conveyed to Pakistan that India reserves the right to take firm and decisive action to protect its national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity against any act of aggression or cross-border terrorism.
“India also strongly objected to Pakistan’s vulgar display of an injured personnel of the IAF in violation of all norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention. It was made clear that Pakistan would be well advised to ensure that no harm comes to the Indian defence personnel in its custody. India also expects his immediate and safe return,” the statement said.
India had earlier in the day accused Pakistan of targeting the military installations in response to its counter-terrorism action a day earlier and said an Indian MiG-21 Bison pilot was “missing in action.”
It said Pakistan has used its air force to target military installations on the Indian side and in the aerial engagement, one PAF fighter aircraft was shot down but a MiG-21 aircraft was also lost.
The MEA said targeting of Indian military posts was in contrast to India’s non-military anti-terror pre-emptive strike at a JeM terrorist camp at Balakot in Pakistan eraly Tuesday.
“It is unfortunate that instead of fulfilling its international obligation and bilateral commitment to take credible action against terrorist entities and individuals operating from its soil, Pakistan has acted with aggression against India,” the statement said.
The MEA said India expects Pakistan to take immediate and verifiable action against terrorism emanating from territories under its “control.”
“Regret was expressed at the continuing denial by Pakistan’s political and military leadership at the presence of terrorist infrastructure in territories under its control. A dossier was handed over to Pakistan side with specific details of JeM complicity in the Pulwama attack and the presence of JeM terror camps and its leadership in Pakistan,” the statement said.

“As advised by security agencies, the red alert has been declared in the entire DMRC network. Under the red alert, all station controllers are required to inspect entire station premises for any suspicious items/activity, including parking lots, and report the status to the control centre every two hours,” read the DMRC advisory.

The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for Central California, seeks compensation for lost revenue and unspecified enhanced damages, CNET reported late Wednesday.
BlackBerry has alleged Twitter infringed on six of its patents, like push notifications, silencing notifications for a message thread and mobile advertising techniques.
“The lawsuit accuses the micro-blogging site of co-opting BlackBerry’s technology for use in several services, including the main Twitter app and Twitter Ads,” said the report.
Twitter was yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Software major BlackBerry in 2018 sued Facebook and its subsidiaries — photo sharing app Instagram and messaging service WhatsApp.
The suit alleged that Facebook has infringed on some of BlackBerry’s patents including security features, mobile notifications, and combining gaming with messaging.
“Blackberry’s suit sadly reflects the current state of its messaging business. Having abandoned its efforts to innovate, Blackberry is now looking to tax the innovation of others. We intend to fight,” Facebook had replied.
BlackBerry also sued Snap, for allegedly infringing its patented messaging technology in the Snapchat app.
In the fresh lawsuit against Twitter, BlackBerry alleged Twitter “has succeeded in diverting consumers away from BlackBerry’s products and services”.

[Nasheman news] DubaiThe International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday assured BCCI that all security concerns at the upcoming ODI World Cup, in the wake of Pulwama terror attack, will be addressed adequately.
According to sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), at the ICC meeting here, Board’s CEO Rahul Johri had raised concerns about security at the World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales.
Johri reportedly expressed satisfaction with the ICC’s security arrangements during the World Cup which starts on May 30.
The BCCI is yet to take a decision on boycotting the World Cup first round match against Pakistan on June 16 as there is a possibility that the two arch-rivals may meet in the knockout stages as well.
There have been demands from several former players and ex-BCCI officials that the Pakistan match should be boycotted following nation wide outrage over the Pulwama terror attack which led to the martyrdom of at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly and former star off-spinner Harbhajan Singh are among those who had called for a boycott of the match against Pakistan.

If US can do an Abbottabad, so can India: Jaitley
Nasheman News :Amid escalating tension between New Delhi and Islamabad, Union Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said if US can do an Abbottabad finishing off Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in Pakistan’s own backyard, then so can India, drawing parallel with IAF’s Tuesday bombing of a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) base in Balakot.
The Finance Minister was referring to the US Navy SEALs’ operation in 2011 when the Americans neutralised the Al Qaeda founder in his Abbottabad home, where he was hiding for over a decade after pulling off the horrific 9/11 World Trade Center attack.
Jaitley said India too can do an US by bringing down its most wanted JeM chief Masood Azhar.
“I remember when the Navy SEALs of US took Osama bin Laden from Abbottabad… can’t we do the same?
“This used to be just an imagination, a desire, a frustration, a disappointment. But today this is possible,” he said at an event here.
“A week is too long a time in politics. The way the nation has rallied behind us in the last one week, it seems like a week slipped by too quick,” he said referring to the February 14 Pulwama terror attack by the JeM in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed.
India in retaliation bombed the JeM’s biggest camp in Pakistan’s Balakot.
On Tuesday, at around 3.30 a.m., the Indian Air Force (IAF) jets attacked the JeM camp housing hundreds of its operatives, in what Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said was a “non-military pre-emptive action” on a terror facility.
A large number of jihadis were killed in the camp located on a hill-top away from civilian areas, Gokhale said, claiming that the dead included Yusuf Azhar, brother-in-law of Masood Azhar.
India has said it acted on the intelligence inputs that JeM was planning another suicide bombing.
Emirates flight to Delhi diverted due to closure of Karachi airspace
Nasheman News : An Emirates flight from Dubai to Delhi was diverted on Wednesday after Karachi airspace was closed amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The Boeing 777 300 aircraft, which took off from Dubai at 10.30 a.m., half an hour behind schedule, landed at Ahmedabad airport at 2.45 p.m. for refuelling.
Before landing, the plane’s captain announced that it had to be diverted because it was denied permission to fly over Karachi airspace. The flight was grounded at Ahmedabad for an hour.
Tensions have erupted between India and Pakistan following the Indian Air Force (IAF) jets bombing the biggest training camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit in Balakot on Tuesday.
The IAF on Wednesday chased away intruding Pakistani fighter jets in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera sector.
Reports said that Pakistan has banned any Indian aircraft from using their airspace and that Pakistan’s Air Traffic Control has banned any aircraft from flying below 32,000 feet.
