Ramanagara, Karnataka, Apr 2 : More than eight devotees, including a boy, sustained burn injuries when they were participating in a ritual of walking barefoot on burning charcoal in a temple in Magadi taluk in the district.
According to official sources, the devotees were participating in the ritual of crossing the burning charcoal pit in Kudur Lakshmi temple last night.
About 56 devotees had participated in the temple ritual.
All the injured were rushed to the Victory Hospital in Bengaluru, immediately after the incident.
