BS Yeddyurappa,state BJP president and party’s chief ministerial candidate today claimed:A new BJP led government is assuming office tomorrow.
He was talking to media persons on the way to Raj Bhavan for submitting a letter informing his election as the leader of Bharatiya Janata Legislature party.
Later after meeting the Governor along with a party delegation he disclosed:We have submitted a letter informing about the decision of the legislature party on electing me as the leader and also reminded the Governor of our claim of forming the government.
Meanwhile the Janata Dal Secular legislature party has elected HD Kumaraswamy as leader of the party.Talking on the occasion he alleged:BJP is offering Rs 100 crores to some of our MLAs’ for changing sides.No other Union government so far has misused the Income Tax department like the way Narendra Modi’s government has done to scare the opposition party leaders and elected representatives.
In another development about 12 new legislators have failed to turn up for the maiden Congress legislature party meeting held here in a private five star hotel.They included Zamir Ahmed Khan(Chamrajpet),Akhanda Sreenivas(Pulkeshinagar),Anandsingh(Vijaynagar),B Nagendra(Kudligi),Bheemnna Naik(Hagaribommanahalli),MY Patil(Afzalpur) among many others.
The Congress party managers have refused to give any reasons for their absence.On the other hand both Congress and JDS have decided to pack off their newly elected legislators to a resort in Cochin to keep the flock intact.
