Farah Khan, tweeted in support of the Nargis infrastructure to remote village. Sonave has a population of 3000. This village did not have electricity till 2 years ago! The facilities & infrastructure in Sonave are non -existent & the tribals here have no sustainable income to uplift them from this state of backwardness. The village & schools have limited sanitation facilities. This is leading to drop outs, low attendance, hygiene issues et al amongst the students. Priya Dutt from the Nargis Dutt Foundation averred, “While for some people, good sanitation is taken for granted, there are many who face immense challenges to even have access to them on a daily basis. Children are the bedrock of our nation & going to school for them should be a joy. I would urge everyone to share & support this campaign to transform Sonave & the schools there. “

NAWAZUDDIN SIDDIQUI IN VIKI RAJANI’S ‘CHANDAMAMA DOOR KE’!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui joins hands with producer Viki Rajani yet again and after MUNNA MICHEAL has now been signed for NextGen Films’ CHANDAMAMA DOOR KE. Directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, India’s 1st ever space odyssey starring Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead, will see Nawaz essay the role of an astronaut. 18 – YEAR – OLD MUMBAI MODEL TARA SINGH TO STAR IN TAMIL REMAKE OF ‘BAGHBAN’

Director & producer Maneesh Singh has signed on Tara Singh for the Tamil remake of Baghban. The 6-film deal has been signed by Vrindaavan Films, Maneesh Singh and Tara Singh.The remake is a big budget project and both Vrindaavan Films and Maneesh Singh would be investing nearly Rs 125 crore in it. Tara Singh said that she was thrilled to be part of the 6 film deal. Tara will play the 1st lead in this Tamil project which will be dubbed in Hindi & other Indian languages. It is an unofficial adaptation of the 1937 movie MAKE WAY FOR TOMORROW and many scenes & the plot were inspired from the 1954 Marathi movie OON PAOOS and 1958 Kannada film SCHOOL MASTER. It has similar theme as the Hindi film AVTAAR. This film was remade in Kannada as EE BANDHANA in 2007. starring Vishnuvardhan & Jaya Pradha in the leads. Singh had earlier announced a film on the life of Pakistani social media sensation Qandeel Baloch, but was denied a visa by the Pakistani Government to shoot in Multan – the native village where Baloch lived. Qandeel Baloch was killed by her brothers in a case of honor killing, after she allegedly shot for a raunchy music video, which went viral in Pakistan. Her death shocked the world & the international media went berserk with the story of a young & energetic life lost due to such barbaric social practices as honor killing. The film titled GHAIRAT to be directed by Singh, was completely shelved after hostilities broke out between India & Pakistan following the Uri attack & the Indian armies surgical strikes at terrorist camps in PoK.

The 1st call that came from Neeraj Pandey himself had me most exited & dancing through the day. I have always wanted to work with, so there was no way I would have let this opportunity pass by me then the added pressure was to perform to the best of my ability. It wasn’t easy knowing the fact that Manoj Bajpayee & I would be sharing screen space with, and the film would be directed by Neeraj Pandey. Although a short film, I knew and was determined to do my best, cold feet & nervous at first but then you tell yourself this is not the time to be nervous it’s time to prove yourself, exactly what I had told myself before the Miss India pageant. The few days of workshop & shoot itself had me in complete awe of him the way he thinks is what makes him who he is. He guided me through the process there was so much to learn from him and I tried to soak in as much as I could. Manoj Bajpayee although a senior & a seasoned actor made me feel at ease, passion for the craft & dedication is what shines through him. I feel extremely fortunate to have worked with such stalwarts in my career. At the moment everyone’s positive reaction to the film is what’s keeping me happy & beaming with joy.

RAKESH ROSHAN’S K FACTOR

In their initial years as filmmakers, Karan Johar & Ekta Kapoor titled most of their productions with “K”. While they are no longer partial to the alphabet, one filmmaker who has stuck to it for nearly 3 decades is Rakesh Roshan. The light – eyed actor forayed into production with hits like AAP KE DEEWANE & Kaamchor. When he was making JAAG UTHA INSAAN, a fan wrote to him suggesting he should title his movies with “K”. The filmmaker didn’t pay heed and JAAG UTHA INSAAN as well as his following production, BHAGWAN DADA, didn’t do well at the box office. That’s when he revisited the fan’s letter which pointed out how some of his biggest hits were films that began with “K” like KHOOBSURAT, KAAMCHOR, KHEL KHEL MEIN, KHATTA MEETHA & KHADAAN. After KHUDGARZ became a super hit, Roshan decided to stick to his lucky mascot. The success of most of his films, like KHOON BHARI MAANG, KALA BAZAAR, KISHEN KANHAIYA, KHEL, KARAN ARJUN, KOYLA, KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI, KOI MIL GAYA, KRRISH & KRRISH 3 has further consolidated his belief. AKSHAY KUMAR & ALIA BHATT GET TEARY EYED

Alia Bhatt had recently visited the women self defense centre for their graduation day. Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt & Aditya Thackeray were present for the graduation day of the women of the academy. During the event one of the women spoke about domestic violence and how she faces it for so many years and now how she can self defend herself coz of the academy. My upcoming film “2016 The End” is a rollicking comic saga about 4 friends, who discover one day that the world is coming to an end, that too just in 7 days. All the 4 friends hail from different background as well as different strata of society and suddenly realization dawns on them that they have just 7 days left to live and also to fulfill all their dreams, desires and fantasies.

There have been many big screens as well as small screen ventures based on this similar concept. So how different will be your film “2016 The End”?

Yes! That’s true. But you see every director has his own perception, besides his own style of presentation. Like in my latest offering “2016 The End”, every character has his own dreams, desires and fantasies but in his tension filled day to day life all his dreams, desires and fantasies remain unfulfilled. But these 4 friends start planning their life, little realizing that they have a limited time to live and then all of a sudden even their priorities change.

This is 2016 do you think the world will really come to an “End” by the end of this year?

Who knows? May be yes or maybe no!!! But in my movie the world really comes to an “End”. The basic premise of my movie “2016 The End” is that there is no point in living with false hopes and being tensed up all the time and keep on planning our future when we don’t even know if will still be living for the next moment, the next hour, the next day and so on and so forth. So enjoy living your day to day life by always “Being Happy” come what may. These are all the aspects that my movie “2016 The End” will project and once you see the movie, hopefully you will get all your answers.

How would you describe the one liner of your movie “2016 The End”?

First of all let me clear the air of all the assumptions about my movie that may be made. I strongly believe and stress on the fact that “2016 The End” is not at all a routine, run of the mill movie. Let me assure you that “2016 The End” is a perfect comedy movie. It will also be not out of place to say that “2016 The End” is a laugh riot, in fact a totally entertaining rollercoaster joy ride. My actors are so happy working on this project with me that the next time whenever I plan another movie they won’t even bother to ask me for a one liner narration.

Says Bappi Lahiri, “This is a Bengali song which has been sung by Manie and I must tell you all people that he has sung exceptionally brilliantly. Although Manie is a South Indian but his Bengali dictions are amazingly better than most Bengalis. I am very happy to work with him. I am sure we will work again soon.”

When asked Manie about the song recording he averred, ‘I am really honoured & blessed to work with a legend like Bappi da. I was happy to spend some quality time with him talking about his works & his successful musical journeys. I hope to work with him again.”

With this song recording, Manie created a national record by becoming the first South Indian actor to record a full playback song in his own voice in Bengali.

Indian Panorama 2016 recently announced its final selection of Feature & Non – Feature films to be screened in Goa at the 47th International Film Festival of India, 2016.

1. The Jury of Feature Films, headed by well known Director & Producer, Shri Rajendra Singh Babu, has selected 22 films out of 230 eligible entries. The 13 Members Jury took a month to finalize the selections.

The Jury has recommended Sanskrit film Ishti Directed by G. Prabha as the Opening Feature Film of Indian Panorama 2016. As per Clause 8.6 of the Indian Panorama 2016 Regulations the Best Feature Film of 63rd National Film Awards 2015, titled Baahubali Directed by S. S. Rajamouli is included in the Indian Panorama 2016. 3 mainstream films are also selected under Indian Panorama Section of 47th International Film Festival of India, 2016. Jiya Wadkar The 8 Year Old Daughter Of Suresh Wadkar Makes Her Solo Album Debut With Sapno Ka Gaon Released By R J Series

The Ravindra Jain Group has announced the launch of the 1st ever Kids Web Channel, “Welcome To Fairyland”. The web channel was launched at a grand event at Ajivasan, Juhu in the presence of esteemed guest Pt. Suresh Wadkar & Deevya Jain amongst others.

The event also marked the launch of the 1st ever solo album of Jiya Wadkar, daughter of Pt. Suresh Wadkar. The album is called “Sapnon Ka Gaon”. The interesting trivia is that it was legendary music director Ravindra Jain who launched Suresh Wadkar in Bollywood and now, it’s his son Ayushman Jain who is launching Suresh Wadkar’s daughter.

“Welcome to Fairyland” is a beautiful & interactive world where a child can let his / her imagination run free, was an idea that was birthed in the minds of the Late Ravindra Jain and his wife Deevya Jain. Dr. Ravindra Jain adored kids and how the mind of a child worked, he was fascinated by their imagination and wanted to make something or some outlet where these children would be allowed to think & play freely. Even though he wasn’t able to bring this thought into fruition when he was still with us, his wife Deevya Jain & his son Ayushman Jain are working towards making this dream a reality. Through ‘Welcome to Fairyland’, we are looking forward to bring forth varied concepts & activities that a kid can take part in or can find entertainment through.

Deevya Ravindra Jain and her son Ayushman Jain, through their production house R. J. Series released their albums on nursery rhymes & varied other genres specifically for the entertainment & joy of kids.

These albums will have not only have old nursery rhymes that we have all grown up with, but also original rhymes that have been written & composed specially for children. The 1st album was released by Suresh Wadkar sung by Jeeya Wadkar, the daughter of the well renowned playback singer Suresh Wadekar. Also, in this album, the music is composed & directed by Abhinay Jain, who is an up & coming music director, and the rhymes are written by Patik Bhattacharya. This album consists of 7 songs and the videos have been directed by Sameer Kashani & choreographed by the up & coming Vibha Luhadia. The name of the album is “Sapno Ka Gaon”.

Fairy Tales (Imagine – Nation):

Children love to live in a world full of wonder & fantasy that they create in their own minds, and seeing to this we want to create a world where a child can learn and have fun, we will do this by bringing forward stories that can, not only be bought as books but also can be found on YouTube in the form of a Web Series in which we will bring all the wondrous characters that are a part of these books to life so that kids can enjoy & learn from watching these characters as well as interact with these characters by doing activities with them which would also keep these children active.

The concept of these stories was brought forward by Deevya Jain, produced by Deevya Jain & Ayushman Jain, these stories have been written by Pratik Bhattacharya, directed by Sameer Kashani and these stories are voiced by film actress Ananya Dey, whom we can find on the Web Series that will be available to watch on YouTube.

Kitty & Naughty (Knok – Jhok):

Kitty & Naughty are 2 characters that are being introduced by us, they are a pair of mischievous characters who love to pull each other’s legs and are also a lot of fun!

They love joking around and also love playing games, they are a way through which we can teach children about different values and also help them learn in a fun & playful way!

While Kitty is the quiet & level headed one, Naughty is a little troublemaker and together they make a wonderful pair!

Dreams Come True (Sapne Jo Sach Honge):

Every child has a dream, no matter where that child comes from but many a times, these children aren’t able to achieve these goals, this is why we have brought forth this idea.

This is a platform through which children will be able to showcase their talent and will be able to be featured on our YouTube channel, they can write & send in poems, stories and other varied things which will be featured on the channel, they can also send in videos of them performing and doing whatever they like, which then we can showcase on the channel.

One of the main goals of this is that we want to help a child become closer to his / her dream, whatever it may be, we aim to assist that child in his endeavor, and so through the varied poems, stories or videos that will be sent to us, we will select & help children who are unable to reach their dream due to one reason or the other.

Amidst flashing cameras, glittering stars & an exhilarating atmosphere, the music of 5G International Presents & Sachin Katarnawre produced, Bhay, was launched. The music was launched by Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon & Sohail Khan. The music was launched with great enthusiasm in the prescence of numerous celebrities. On this occasion, the trailer of the movie & songs were screened. Actors Raveena Tandon & Sohail Khan said that the successful run of Marathi films is praiseworthy, and the movie Bhay will definitely be a new experience for the movie goers.

Praising all the actors of the movie Bhay, Raveena Tandon expressed her wish to act in Marathi films. At the launch, it was also announced that the movie will also be released in 3 other languages namely, Tamil, Telugu & Arabic. Rahul Bhathankar has done the direction & editing.

This movie has songs of 3 different genres. The 2 songs, “Saajanaa” & “Mi aalo” have been sung by Brijesh Shandilya & Tulika Upadhyay. Both the songs have been picturized in a different style. The songs take us on a small journey on a cruise, and we are treated to the beautiful visuals of helipads & skyscrapers of Dubai and pristine & famous beaches. The song “Chal re” has vocals by Ali Aslam. The lyrics by Shekhar Astitva have been set to music by Vikram Montrose. The Music of Bhay is released by Zee Music.
