Bhouri is the story of a 22 year old girl, Bhouri, whose fair complexion & sharp features became a source of endless pain & punishment in life. The central theme of this gritty content revolves around Bhouri, a woman who had always been at the mercy of feeble men all her life and her own defiance for her dignity was seen as obstinacy by society that brought punishment to her humble life. According to producer Chandrapal Singh, the movie shows the mirror to our society. The Government of UP & Bihar have made the movie tax free so that audience can watch the movie without paying tax. 3,000 FILM ENTRIES LEAD TO REMARKABLE FILM SELECTION AT 7TH JAGRAN FILM FESTIVAL

Diligently browsing through a maze of over 3,000 film entries the Preview Team of 7th Jagran Film Festival concluded its selection process. The selection includes the Best of Indian & International Cinema. While some films are from renowned film festivals like Berlin, Rotterdam & Sundance, there are a lotof films hitherto unexplored by film festivals. On one hand the festival beginning in New Delhi this July will screen films like Lee Tamahori’s MAHANA (The Patriarch) from New Zealand, THE FIRST, THE LAST by Bouli Lanners from France / Belgium, both from Berlinale & THANK YOU FOR BOMBING by Barbara Eder, an Austrian film from Toronto, on the other hand it also screens unexplored films like DISCORIA (Romania) by Ion Indolean & Chatô, THE KING OF BRAZIL by Guilhermo Fontes based on the life of Brazilian Media Moghul, Assis Chateaubriand, the film is a revelation and won 13 film awards in Brazil. ‘ROUGH BOOK’S NEW POSTER RELEASED

The new poster of ROUGH BOOK has been released. The film is directed by Ananth Mahadevan and is a hard look at the education system in India and is slated to release on 24th Jun, 2016. Hindi Feature film BAROMAS which was screened at Washington Film Festival and so many other film festivals. The film is based on the Sahitya Academy award winning Marathi novel. The movie addresses the plight of dry land farmers & the educated unemployed in rural India. Recently the film was screened at Mahalaxi Famous Studio which was attended by actors Seema Biswas, Rohit Pathak & Subrat Dutta and many, many more. The film hit the theater on 17th Jun, 2016. Rohit Pathak plays a character of fisherman who’s latter fighting for villagers to get freedom from Sahukaar & Gram Panchayat. Rohit Pathak said, “I enjoyed shooting for this film. Director duo Abbas Mustan are well known for their grandeur and larger than life films and their next directorial venture MACHINE is no different. MACHINE also marks the debut of Abbas’ son Mustafa who will be seen sharing screen space with Kiara Advani in the film. The duo has recently shot for a romantic number in Georgia which is on the lines of Romeo & Juliet and for the same, actress Kiara Advani had to wear a 10 kg gown. Talking about the same, director Abbas said, “The song comes during a key sequence in the film. It not only takes the story forward but also helps in building the climax. The song will showcase the journey of real Romeo & Juliet in 3 minutes. Vikram Phadnis, who has designed her outfit showed the gown and when I tried to hold it, it was falling off from my hands. I was very worried about how Kiara would have carried it off but she rehearsed and when she came on set, there was no discomfort. Kiara carried off the gown very well. We shot the song smoothly and the camaraderie between Kiara & Mustafa is outstanding on the screen. In fact, she will be wearing different gowns in all the sequences of the song and all of them will weigh the same.” Now this is one song, we are sure the audience is waiting to see with bated breath.

Aces: All said & done it is the performance of actors like Daniel Radcliffe, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrrelson, Dave Franco, Jay Chou who have enlivened the proceedings to some extent and salvage the film.

Minuses: The entire heist drama seems totally unconvincing & far – fetched.

Last Word: The genre of Now You See me 2, a sequel, is mystery & suspense but the film is lacking in totality in both the arenas.
