A civil engineer by qualification Shivakumar alias Maddur Shivu worked as civil engineer but his cinema passion brought him to this line. He worked as an assistant in 3 films. He got hold of the system & style to get into the shoes of a director. In Sai Ventures Maddur Shivu is also producer of his story. He has shot for 35 days in Chikkaballapura, Doddaballapura, Bengaluru, Nandi Hills. There is a song on currency ban out of 5 songs from the composer Indra Sena. The film is on love, friendship, comedy & melodious songs. Nageshwara Rao is the cameraman, Sanjeev Reddy is the editor, the film DI is in progress for a Jul, 2017 release. Ajith Jayaraj has 2 heroines Deepti Kapse of Jwalantham fame & Niriksha Alva. Ne La Narendra Babu, Umeshanna, Jogi Anand and others are in the cast.

Karva Director Navaneeth’s Next Movie

After a stupendous success Karva director Navaneeth has fastened up the shooting for trailblazer V Ravichandran starrer Bakaasura. He is getting ready for another project that is once again a horror film. For the 3rd film of Navneeth, beautiful looking Akaanksha is in the female lead. Interestingly Akanksha plays a blind girl in the 4th film. She is already familiar with RX Soori, Jalsa & Crack Kannada films. It is a female oriented cinema & director Navneeth is producing this film with his friends support. It is a 35 days schedule, RJ Rohith is playing a guest role. Rohith figured in Karva & Bakaasura, the Kannada films of Navaneeth. Meanwhile the preparations are on for a sequel on Karva avers Navaneeth.

Avanthika Makws A Correction

It was an amicable settlement in the presence of KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu and his team on one side & the producer KA Suresh of Raju Kannada Medium with actress Avanthika Shetty on the dais on Thurs afternoon. Avanthika Shetty reiterated that she has not filed any sexual harassment case on producer KA Suresh and the complaint what she has filed is ready to take back. Producer Suresh KA of Govindayanamaha, Shravani Subramani, RX Soori and now Raju Kannada Medium has accepted to keep the portions of Avanthika Shetty and finish her portion of the shoot in Naresh Kumar’s direction. The week long battle of allegations & counter allegations between Avanthika Shetty actress of Raju Kannada Medium & producer of highly successful films KA Suresh has been sorted out with Sa Ra Govindu intervention at KFCC meeting of conciliatory committee. Raju Kannada Medium hero Gurunandan and other team members were present at the meeting. The issue was also related to Dry Fruits missing in the room of Avanthika Shetty – has now been sorted out fruitfully.

The shoot of Dileep’s most awaited movie Ramaleela directed by Arun Gopy has been wrapped up. The post production of this Dileep starrer is expected to go on at a full swing soon. Rajinikanth has been getting more political visitors than before in recent times after his speeches during the fans meet hinting about his political entry. Recently, Hindu Makkal Katchi founder Arjun Sampath met the Superstar at his Poes Garden Residence in Chennai. After meeting Rajinikanth, Arjun Sampath addressed the media persons and here is the crux of what he spoke: “Rajinikanth is very much worried about Tamil Nadu and he wants to change the entire system. He is always thinking about the development of Tamil Nadu and the interlinking of national rivers such as Ganga & Cauvery. We made an appeal to Rajinikanth to come to politics & save Tamil Nadu. The Dravidian parties since 1967 have ruined Tamil Nadu. We want someone like Rajinikanth who has accepted Nationality & divinity. We requested him to enter politics and we will back him.” Asked about the response of Rajinikanth, the leader said “His response was very good. He is keen to do something for Tamil people who have given him a good life. He promised me that he will consider over the request.” A hardcore Hindutva leader meeting Rajinikanth in connection to politics is expected to strengthen the argument that the sexagenarian star will either join BJP or support it after entering politics. However Rajinikanth, while speaking to media persons said that he did not discuss anything about politics with Arjun Sampath and it was just a courtesy meeting.

Nayanthara Replaces Shruti Haasan!!!

Thenadal Studios announced their magnum opus, Sangamithra directed by Sundar C at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with Shruti Haasan in the titular role as a warrior queen & Jayam Ravi & Arya in the lead heroes. However due to creative differences, Shruti walked out of the film. Now it is reported that the Sangamithra team is keen on bringing Nayanthara on board and that negotiations have begun. There are also reports from some sources that a very high remuneration has been quoted to the lady superstar whose only reluctance is that the long duration of the production could affect her other projects. It is understood that if the required dates are very clear and if there is no problem in her shooting for other projects in the middle, Nayan could well be the new Sangamithra.

In his upcoming film, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in 8 different looks. The actor plays a tribal in the film that his character has no reference, avers the film’s director Arumuga Kumar. Arumuga Kumar avers that he was stunned by Vijay Sethupathi’s dedication for the 8 getups and ensures that it would be a treat for the actor’s fans. “We have completed major portions of the film, Gautham Karthik also plays an equally important role along with Vijay Sethupathi”, adds Arumuga Kumar. Touted to be a comedy drama, Niharika Konidela plays the female lead in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, the film also has Ramesh Thilak in a pivotal role & Justin Prabhakaran of Oru Naal Koothu fame is composing the music.

Simran To Enact The Role of An Antagonist

Yesteryear’s dream girl Simran has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Sivakarthikeyan’s new film with director Ponram. That apart Simran plays the antagonist in the film along with Malayalam actor Lal while Napoleon will be seen as Sivakarthikeyan’s dad. Samantha is Sivakarthikeyan’s romantic interest in this action entertainer and the actress has learned Silambam for her character. Ponram’s regular Soori is in charge for comic portions, the film also has Yogi Babu & Manobala in important roles. RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios is bankrolling the film, which will have music composed by Imman & Balasubramaniem takes care of the visuals. Touted to be a psycho thriller, the makers feel that Ratchasan would be more appropriate for the genre & storyline. Vishnu Vishal plays an aspiring filmmaker turned cop in the film & Amala Paul plays a school teacer in Ratchasan, which is being directed by Ram of Mundasupatti fame. Dilli Babu of Axess Film Factory is producing Ratchasan for which Ghibran of Uttama Villain fame is composing the music. Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal’s Katha Nayagan has opted out of Ramzan race as the makers feel that they don’t want to compete with too many films.

Buster Reeves, the fight coordinator of many Hollywood films, also worked with Katrina on this portion. Priyadarshan & Udhay Film Is A Remake

Udhayanidhi Stalin has signed a new film with veteran director Priyadarshan. The film is a remake of the super hit, critically acclaimed Malayalam movie Mahishinte Prathikaram. Udhayanidhi will be reprising Fahad Faasil’s role in the film & MS Baskar of Uttama Villain & 8 Thottakal fame will also be seen playing an important role in the remake. To be produced by Santhosh of Moonshot Entertainment, the principal shoot of the film will commence in Jul, 2017. Priyadarshan is currently busy making necessary changes in the original Malayalam version to suit the taste of Tamil audiences. The festival is organized to create an opportunity for the exchange of cultures between the 2 states. The festival is being held at Chamundeshwari Studios, from 16th Jun, 2017 to 18th Jun, 2017.

The Kannada Film Festival is being organized from 21st Jun, 2017 to 23rd Jun, 2017 at the prestigious Nandan Complex, Kolkata.
