March 27:- BJP State Spokesperson and legislator Shri S.Suresh Kumar today said that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) scientists have made every Indian proud with the success of Mission Shakti and its Space surgical strike where India shot down today a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite by anti-satellite missile. It was completed in three minutes.It is an achievement for the country which is the fourth nation after the US, Russia and China with this antisatellite weapon to become a space super power, he said.
MANDYA POLITICS Speaking about dynasty politics taking alarming proportions in Mandya, Shri Suresh Kumar regretted that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was overlooking his duties as CM and giving importance to his role as father of Mandya Lok Sabha Candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy. It may be recalled that the chief minister had ordered diversion of traffic for three hours on the Bangalore-Mysuru Huighway to ensure his son’s hassle-free nomination. Condemning the total abuse of power by the chief minister in Mandya to harass Independent candidate and wife of Late actor M H Ambareesh, who is contesting against the JD (S) candidate Nikhil, he added that, actors Yash and Darshan were not spared either for extending their support to Smt.Sumalatha.

ENSURE FREE AND FAIR POLLS IN MANDYA Demanding that the State Election Commission should declare Mandya LS Constituency as a pollsensitive area, Shri Suresh Kumar said that, the EC is duty-bound to ensure that the electorate of Mandya witness free and fair polling. Noting that not many women candidates come forward to contest elections, he said that it is unfortunate that those who take the step like Smt. Sumalatha are troubled. Further, there are 3 candidates by the name Sumalatha in the list of candidates to confuse the voters in Mandya, he said.
RAMANAGARA— COMPLAINT TO EC The Congress candidate from Ramanagara D K Suresh has distributed 25,000 buttermilk packets to the people which is a violation of poll code of conduct and a complaint has been filed with the Election commission, Shri Suresh Kumar said.
