Cricketer Virat Kohli recently tied the knot with actress cum producer Anushka Sharma in a private ceremony in Italy. The wedding was attended only by close family & a few family friends as the couple wished their wedding to be a very private affair.
The wedding was performed as per the Hindu rituals. Moreover top fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee had designed the wedding ensemble for both the bride & the groom.
Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma will now start inviting all their film industry friends & their film industry colleagues for the celebrations that are all set to happen in Mumbai.
Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma averred in a joint statement, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share this wonderful news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love & the support of our family, of our fans & above all of our well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
The couple will be hosting a reception in New Delhi for their close relatives on 21st Dec, 2017 which will be followed by a reception for the industry friends & the cricketers in Mumbai on 26th Dec, 2017.
The newly – wed couple will travel to South Africa where Virat Kohli will start prepping up for the upcoming series & Anushka Sharma will spend the New Year’s Eve with Virat Kohli and return back to India in the 1st week of Jan, 2018 to begin the next schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai.
Anushka Sharma will also start prepping up for Sui Dhaaga as the shooting for the same starts in Feb, 2018 with Varun Dhawan. Anushka Sharma will also be busy with the marketing & the promotions of Pari which is releasing on 9th Feb, 2018.
Virat Kohli, on the other hand, will be playing the cricket series in South Africa for 2 months which includes 3 Tests, 6 One Day Internationals (ODI’s) & 3 Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.
Post their wedding the newly – wed couple will be shifting to their new residence in Worli, Mumbai in Dec, 2017 once they return from Delhi.
