Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department which is probing DySP Ganapathy’s suicide has reportedly briefed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as well as Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara regarding various developments in the case on Sunday. The investigation has reportedly found out that the DySP took the extreme step due to professional and family problems.
The CID visited Chikkamagaluru and Mangaluru where DySP Kallappa Handibag and DySP MK Ganapathy had worked. Both the officers had ended their lives last week.
CID officials added that DySP Handibag took the extreme step as he was unable to overcome the humiliation that came with the charges of kidnap and demanding a ransom.
