New Delhi: A medium intensity earthquake measuring 3.5 on Richter scale hit Haryana on Monday, with tremors being felt in the national capital and neighbouring areas too.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, a unit of Ministry of Earth Science, the epicenter of the quake was in Mahendragarh. The quake occurred at 2:50 PM at a depth of 10 kms.
However, there were no immediate report of loss to life or damage to property.
Mahendragarh is nearly 120 kms from the national capital.
Earlier in the day, a medium intensity earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale hit Kohima, the capital of Nagaland at 10:58 AM.
