Mandya district In-charge Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy
Mandya: Former Minister K.C. Narayana Gowda will soon join the Congress party and the date of joining will be slated soon, revealed Mandya district In-charge Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy.
Addressing press persons here on Monday, he clarified that alongside Narayana Gowda, supporters of late former Assembly Speaker K.R. Pete Krishna will also join the Congress without any conditions.
“ I have had a close relationship with the Ambareesh family from the beginning. However, we have not asked MP Sumalatha to show support to the Congress, she has not said anything either. Can we deny anyone when they show support,” he said.
“We are focusing on highlighting our government’s guarantee projects and development initiatives during the election campaign. National leaders will also join us in our campaigning efforts. We plan to submit the nomination papers on April 1,” he added.
MLA P. Ravikumar Ganiga, Congress Mandya LS candidate Venkataramane Gowda (Star Chandru) and District Congress Working President M. S. Chidambara and other leaders were present.
