A 40-year-old home alone woman was found murdered at her house in Electronic City on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Shahin Taj, a housewife and resident of Subhash Nagar in Electronic City.
She had married to Chand Pasha,an auto driver ten years ago and the couple have no children. Shahin taj was running a shop from her house selling snacks and essentials.
A senior police officer who visited the spot with other officers and finger print experts and sniffer dog was pressed into action.
After inspecting the area and collecting preliminary information,said that the incident took place around afternoon and Pasha left the home around 10.30 am to work.
When He returned home at night and shocked to see Taj lying dead and alerted the neighbours who then called Electronic City police.
The body was shifted for postmortem and preliminary investigations revealed that the assailants barged inside the house and attacked her brutally.However, the family had no dispute with anyone and the exact reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained.
The assailants smothered her to death using pillow before slitting her throat to make sure she is dead.
The motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained as nothing has been robbed or stolen,the officer said.A case has been registered and special teams has been formed to nab the assailants he added.
