Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday announced that the lockdown in the state will be extended till June 7. The ongoing lockdown was supposed to be in force till May 24 and now has been extended for another 14 days.
The CM after meeting his cabinet ministers was speaking to reporters when he made the announcement. He added the guidelines for the extended lockdown will remain the same and there will be no changes in the existing rules.
People will be allowed to buy essential items between 6 am to 10 am.
The CM also announced the state government will provide free treatment for black fungus patients at the government hospitals.
