Bengaluru: Chill maadi! Namma Porter now speaks Kannada. Porter, India’s leading app-enabled intra-city logistics player, will now speak in your language as the company celebrates the festival season with new add-ons and attractive offers for drivers on the platform.
Porter’s new Kannada interface is a tech solution to a frequent problem associated with local logistics— language barrier. Porter’s language feature will help the team of drivers to operate in the language they are comfortable with, which means smoother trips and faster delivery for you.
“If you are new to Bangalore, navigating on and off the road can be tough. Besides the traffic, you have to navigate the language barrier too. Our driver partners also need to navigate the language besides the traffic. Porter helps you with both,” said Mr Pranav Goel, the co-founder of Porter.
“Most of the partners on our platform are comfortable using Kannada and the app will act as a bridge to users, ensuring smoother work flow and faster delivery,” said Mr Goel.
Rolling out the local language interface simultaneously in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai, the multilingual function of the app will ensure easy communication between the partner driver and customer, leading to a better understanding of the requirement and delivery.
Keeping up with the festive spirit, Porter had also rolled out special schemes for the driver partners earlier last month to better their profit margins. Driver partners who login for 250 hours during the period September 7 to October 17 were entitled to festival incentives which ranged from 45k to 55k depending on the city. The objective was to promote better work-life balance as well as to help the driver community maximise their profits during the festive season.
Pranav further added, “Porter is constantly striving to create opportunities that benefit our driver partners. We want to empower more individuals and create an ecosystem that will help create new business owners”.
