The Halai Memon Jamat’s Youth Memon Association’s (YMA) Ladies Wing today conducted a mass marriage of 7 Muslim couples from the poor families.
This kind of mass marriage is conducted every year by the same organization mainly to eradicate the evil of the dowry system which is still prevalent in some parts of the societies of India.
In a humble endeavor to help such girls this mass marriage is organized to send a message across the society so that the community people can come forward & help the poor Muslim brethren & make it easy for the girls of the weaker section of the society to get married with dignity.
This mass marriage was attended by film star turned politician Prakash Raj was guest of honour.
The mass marriages were organized by the World Memon Organization under the leadership of its South India Chapter Vice – President Abdul Azeez & assistant Vice – President Adil & South India Bangalore Chapter Mrs. Farida.
