Belagavi: A 17-year-old girl was gang raped at Kaakathi forest area limits on February 15 when the girl was moving with her boyfriend. A group of youth came and raped the minor girl and threatens her and her boyfriend that there would be serious consequences if they reveal the matter.
A case has been registered on Tuesday under POCSO Act at Kaakathi police station and the police have arrested four suspects and questioning them in an unknown place. Meanwhile, a medical examination has been carried out on the victim at Belagavi district hospital. Further details are awaited.
