Nani’s Ninnu Kori has become a hit and the film is managing good collections. But neither he nor the unit is making any efforts the figures in a hurry. Usually, just after a film’s release, press conferences are held and the entire unit shows off collections to the media, more so when the film has had good openings. But after what has happened to DJ, Nani & the unit seem to be playing safe. There has been a huge hungama following the figures given by the makers of Duvvada Jagannadham and nearly 100 fans stormed into producer Dil Raju’s office and demanded that correct figures be disclosed. Given such a scenario, Nani is playing really safe. During a media interaction, when he was asked about the collections so far, Nani smoothly handled the question by saying, “I am an artiste and you are the media. Numbers don’t matter to us. Let others take care of such matters. We will stick to the quality & success of the film,” he averred. Even Ninnu Kori’s produce D V V Danayya has refrained from making any announcements following his film’s success.

Nene Raju, Nene Mantri Breaks Many Stereotypes
Catherine Tresa, who is seen smoking in the teaser of Rana Daggubati starrer Telugu drama Nene Raju, Nene Mantri, avers the film breaks many common stereotypes and that’s what makes it unique. “I’m not going to say why my character is seen smoking in the teaser. But what I can tell you is that the film breaks many stereotypes. It’s a very mainstream film and you will see Rana Duggabati, who is known to do certain kind of films, go down a path less taken,” Catherine avers. Elaborating on it, she averred, “The film breaks away from the regular commercial format. A lot of people by now must have assumed that I play a badass because my character is seen smoking. The film breaks such stereotypes.” Directed by Teja, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Ashutosh Rana & Navdeep. On teaming up with Teja, she averred that she was bowled over by his confidence. “I really liked the story, especially the confidence with which Teja narrated. I’m a very greedy person when it comes to good roles and I didn’t think even for a minute when I heard this story. The way he narrated the story, it piqued my interest,” she added. Asked about sharing screen space with Rana Duggabati, Catherine quipped: “I had to find really high heels to match his height. It was very interesting to work with him. He plays an intense character and I think he has nailed it. Audiences are going to love his energy,” she concluded.

On a day when Samantha Ruth Prabhu has crossed 4 million followers on Twitter, she decided to chat up with her fans. The brief interaction session on a social media platform saw her giving interesting replies to several curious queries. When asked if she checks Naga Chaitanya’s phone, Sam replied in the negative, saying that it’s the worst habit. She laughed away even the thought of checking her fiance’s mobile. The star actress also revealed that ‘What do you want for dinner?’ is the most common discussion between them. She also expressed her willingness to do a film with Chay after marriage. About Ram Charan, who is her Rangasthalam co – star, the soon – to – be Akkineni kodalu averred, “I am so blessed to be a part of this project. The team is lovely. Despite difficult working conditions, Charan is really killing it. Very eager for all of you to watch him in this role.” When a follower asked her “what is the best advice you have received & by whom?” Sam replied, “Life! It teaches me something new every day.” “What has made you to be part of handlooms?” got this reply: “When you wear something made by a person there is something special there.” To the question “What is real beauty in your point of view?” Sam said, “Accepting who you are and making the best of it.” She regards her celeb status as the “greatest gift”.
Pawan Kalyan Disrupts Ram Charan’s Plans
Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam 1985 is the 1st film to reserve berth for Pongal 2018. Mahesh Babu’s film with Koratala also is targeting the same release date. Now as per the latest buzz from film circles, Pawan Kalyan’s untitled film directed by Trivikram is joining Pongal race. Trivikram planned to release it for Dussera, but the makers have decided to release it for Sankranthi due to the delay in filming. A film riding on nearly Rs. 120 crores should be released for a big festival or in a holiday season. As the film missed out on Dussera, only Sankranthi is the best time to release it. Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam will be in a soup with Pawan Kalyan joining Sankranthi race. Charan can afford to clash with other big stars, but clashing with Power Star will not be welcomed by mega fans. Makers of Rangasthalam also cannot risk losing the festival advantage. How would Charan & Pawan sort this out so that none of the films get affected?
Jagannadsh & NTR Fighting
NTR’s team & Puri Jagannadh are fighting over a copied idea. Jagannadh Puri feels NTR told director Bobby an idea that he narrated to the star, but Bobby must be laughing at Jagannadh Puri. Because, the story that Bobby is making is copy of a foreign language movie. Still, NTR is angry with Jagannad Puri’s gang accusing him of stealing the story. He is said to have been deeply hurt with this as NTR is very close to Jagannad Puri and it was he who asked his brother Kalyan Ram to do the movie when Jagannadh Puri badly needed a project. Jagannadh Puri’s team accused that some elements of the script that Jagannadh Puri narrated to NTR have been incorporated in Jai Lava Kusa. After watching recently released teaser in which NTR was seen telling dialogues in stammering manner, Jagannadh Puri’s team believes that NTR copied this idea from Jagannadh Puri’s narration. Sometime back, Jagannadh Puri had told NTR a story that has lead hero having stammering problem. But NTR didn’t like the script, so he did not sign Jagannad Puri’s movie. Strong buzz in the industry is that the story idea of Jai Lava Kusa is copied from a 2008 Korean blockbuster. So, why Jannadh Puri is doing hungama over this Korean idea? If anyone has a problem with Jai Lava Kusa (JLK}, it must be the original Korean filmmaker!!!
Rana Duggabati: A Smart & Calculated Player
After Ghazi, Rana Duggabati has picked up a very promising film in Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The trailer of the film has been creating waves on the internet ever since it was uploaded on YouTube. Everyone’s mesmerized with the choice of scripts & characters that the handsome hunk has been picking up. Rana Duggabati could have easily fallen into the trap of action hero image as his well built physic would suit such roles. He also has a big production to back up so that he could play it safe by doing commercial films. However, Rana Dugabbati is not looking for instant craze or success that would make him a commercial star. He is making risky choices to prove his caliber as an actor. No one would dare to do a movie with Teja at the moment. The director’s last hit film was released back in 2002. Rana Dugabatti didn’t go by the track record and believed in the script narrated by Teja and picked up Nene Raju Nene Mantri (NRNM) over many other scripts that he has come across. Irrespective of the result of Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Rana Duggabati is surely winning hearts by making smart choices rather than running after instant success.

Now she goes a step ahead in a talk show with a comedy YouTube channel and made derogatory remarks against Telugu cinema & her debut film with director K. Raghavendra Rao. Taapsee made fun of being hit by coconuts on her midriff in a song from Jhummandi Naadam. “I don’t know what is so sensuous about hitting a girl on her midriff. But the director who has made over 100 films had launched Sridevi & Jayasudha. They were apparently hit by flowers & fruits on their midriff,” Taapsee told while the show hosts and the hundreds of audiences had a hearty laugh at the expense of the legendary director & Telugu Cinema. Taapsee also stated that South Cinema Industry only recognized that she can act after watching films like Pink & Naam Shabana. She has been so critical about Telugu cinema restricting her to a glam doll. Now she is looking to make a comeback in Telugu film industry with a horror comedy Anando Brahma that is slated for release on 18th Aug, 2017.

Nagarjuna feels that directorial talent is not in scarcity. As someone who has dared to work with newcomers from time to time, he is qualified to say it. “There is loads of talent out there. It just needs to be spotted & encouraged,” he averred. The Akkineni hero has had a mixed experience out of giving debutantes a chance. The most recent shining example is that of Kalyan Krishna, whose Soggade Chinni Nayana was a big Sankranthi hit. Buoyed by his talent, Nag gave the youngster the responsibility to deliver a hit for Naga Chaitanya. As a creative brain at Annapurna Studios, Nag has been doing his bit to spot fresh talent.
Naga Chaitanya’s Role In Yuddham Sharanam

Chay is playing a college drop – out who turns out to be a genius in his own right. It is to be seen how he will wage a “yuddham” with those drones that he makes. Pragya Keeps The “Hot” Promise
A few months ago when a journo asked Pragya Jaiswal if she was not open for skin show, she had this to say, “Why do you think so? Kanche was a period film and so, I couldn’t have sported short clothes. Om Namo Venkatesaya was a devotional. Even in such a devotional, the song “Aanandam” has ample skin show. In Nakshatram, you will see a new Pragya”. By “a new Pragya”, the Jabalpur born girl clearly meant to say that the film would have a sensuous song. And it’s there. The number is named “Ey Papa”. With Sai Dharam Tej in tandem, the beach song has every quality of sexing up the things. But there is more. And you will see it in Boyapati Sreenu’s Jaya Janaki Nayaka!!!

How far Nikhil can reprise Atharvaa well is to be seen. Kesava didn’t have action of the kind we see in a mainstream actioner. Kanithan’ has to be adapted to suit Telugu nativity.
