NCB Bengaluru busted two major drug syndicate in three days and seized 03 kgs of pseudoephedrine at Hyderabad concealed in lehengas destined to Australia and seized commercial quantity of MDMA pills,Methamphetamine,Methaqualone,small quantity of High Grade Ganja at Bengaluru One swift car seized and Apprehend 6 Persons.
Based on specific information a team of officers of NCB,Bengaluru Zonal Unit intercepted a swift car of AP registration at Devanahalli toll,and apprehended four persons and recovered commercial quantity of MDMA pills, Methamphetamin and Methaqualone from their possession of one person who is resident of vishakhapattanam,Amit Ghawate,IRS
Zonal Director,NCB Bengaluru Zonal Unit,said.
According to him,the other 3 persons are from Bihar and Hyderabad.They were going towards Hyderabad from Bengaluru.
In a swift follow up action the premises of supplier was identified and the search resulted in seizure of small quantity of high grade ganja and apprehended one person from the premises, he said.
The syndicate was procuring variety of drugs from supplier based in Bengaluru and sells them to various youths, parties and in pubs in Hyderabad.,He added.
In a similar operation, the NCB team, based on specific information on Thursday,a team of NCB, Hydeabad Sub-zone officials,intercepted a parcel and seized 3 Kgs of Pseudoephedrine concealed in the falls line areas of three lehengas.
The contraband was well concealed and stitched to avoid detection by enforcement agency.The parcel was destined to Australia.
In a swift follow up action the owner of the consignment was identified to be at Chennai and NCB Chennai team apprehended the consignor after 2 days of prolonged field surveillance.
The consignor had used fake address and documents to conceal his identity.
More than 10 grams of MDMA is commercial quantity under NDPS Act. MDMA (Methyl enedioxy methamphetamine) is commonly known as ecstasy and Methamphetamine are very potent and dangerous stimulant drug. It is commonly abused as a party drug. The side effects of the drug are also very dangerous on the human body. Continued usage can lead to heart problems including heart attack, memory lapses, hallucinations, seizures etc.
