Newspapers need to trail the truth and work for the good of the people, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
Speaking after the launch of ‘News Trail’,an English national news daily he said.media is needed to communicate with the people.
It is the fourth pillar of the democratic system. Politicians need the media to communicate their thoughts and programmes to the masses.
Competition in the media has compelled the electronic and print media to pick up the issues which trail in social media.
Print media has retained its credibility and importance even amid this competition.
He wished all the success to ‘News Trail’ which has been launched in the challenging times of Covid effect on the society and economy.
The challenging venture is an adventure.those who have taken up this challenge would gain big if they surmount the challenge, he said.
