With Salman Khan’s conviction in the blackbuck case, Jodhpur DIG (Jail), Vikram Singh said that the jail has made adequate arrangements for the actor’s stay in prison. Salman will likely spend the night in jail in a high security ward where godman Asaram is also staying. He will be served the same food as is served to the other prisoners in the jail. Recalling Salman’s previous complaints regarding dirty bathrooms, the DIG said, “It’s a high security ward, the bathrooms are of good quality.”
The court has announced the quantum of sentencing: Salman Khan has been sentenced to five years in jail. The actor has also been fined Rs 10,000, and will spend the night in jail as he will not be able to immediately get bail. Salman will have to approach the Rajasthan High Court to seek bail.
