Jammu, May 2 : Police on Thursday destroyed 250 liters ‘lahan’ in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police spokesman said that in continuation to stringent actions against illicit liquor menace, the police team cracked on illicit liquor manufacturers in Village Nihalpur and Chak Drab Khan in Kathua.
The team conducted raids and destroyed about 250 liters of lahan along with makeshift production units on the spot at both the locations.
The police is striving hard to contain drug and liquor menace and appealed to people of the area to come and help them in curbing the menace, the spokesman added.
