The master designer Premal Badiani has a simple fashion mantra: “We must keep up with the times & stay contemporary & modern, but it is imperative that we do so without losing our roots or our culture & bring attention to some of the most sensitive issues related to environment & society”
And this philosophy is the driving force that compelled the designer to judge the signature annual event of Bandra- INIFD (Inter National Institute of Fashion Designing) VIBRANCE 2017 showcasing the theme “Fashion For A Cause”.
“There are numerous problems which exist in the world, in order to eradicate such problems the students have done an outstanding job of choosing topics like Global Warming, Save Sea Life, Prevent Prostitution, Aids & Prevention, Traffic Hazards, Women Empowerment, Poverty, Animal Abuse, Racism, Patriotism, LGBT rights, Breast Cancer & Air Pollution to showcase a collection highlighting these problems” says Premal Badiani
“Today fashion has become a huge part of everybody’s lives. Each & every person is connected to fashion in some way or the other. Using fashion as a tool to bring a change means reaching out to a huge section of society. I am beyond proud to judge a show of such a high stature where fashion makes an attempt to bring light on relevant themes which sends a very strong message” adds Premal Badiani
Premal with her continued patronage and expertise using eco – friendly fabrics showcased her collection “Root Cause” – clothes made from wood pulp at New York Fashion Week to raise global awareness on the human impact on the environment through fashion.
