Sridevi will be given Best Actress award posthumously for ‘Mom’
Vinod Khanna will be conferred Dadasaheb Phalke award posthumously
President Ram Nath Kovind will confer the 65th National Film Awards in New Delhi on Thursday (May 03). The awards had been announced last month.
Late eminent actress Sridevi will be given Best Actress award posthumously for her movie -Mom, whereas Riddhi Sen has been selected for Best Actor for his role in Bengali film -Nagarkirtan.
Vinod Khanna will be conferred Indian cinema’s highest honour Dadasaheb Phalke award posthumously for his contribution to Indian cinema. Khanna will be the 49th recipient of the Award.
Assamese Film Village Rockstars will be awarded for the Best Feature Film and Film Newton as the Best Hindi Film. Jayaraj will receive the Best Director award for the movie Bhayanakam.
Fahad Fazil will be given as the Best Supporting Actor for the movie Thondimuthalum Drikshakshiyum, while Divya Dutta for the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the Hindi feature film, Irada.
Baahubali-2 will receive the award for Best Popular Film for Providing Wholesale Entertainment, Best Special Effects and Best Action Direction Award. The film Dhappa will be awarded as Best Feature Film on national integration.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani and MoS for Information and Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore will be present on the occasion.
