Over 200 kids from six NGOs took the first step towards their dreams at SIBM Bengaluru!
Bengaluru, 31st August, 2019: The Social Responsibility Committee of Symbiosis Institute ofBusiness Management (SIBM), Bengaluru organized Utthaan 2019 on Saturday, August 31st, 2019. The theme of this year’s event was “Be Anything You Want”and itaimed at teaching children that if they set their sights on their dreams, they can achieve any feat! Over 200 children assembled in the college campus to make this event a memorable one.
The NGOs that sent these little ones to the campus are:

· Makkala Jeevodaya
· UPAY Foundation
· Sadashraya
· Nirguna
The event is organized every year to cultivate a brimming passion in the children for living their dreams and realizing their own potential, an exercise that brings out myriad hidden talents and an exchange of positive energy between the kids and the students of SIBM Bengaluru. That is the sole purpose of such an initiative: realizing the joy of sharing and compassion.
The wings of the day unfurled with Jhankaar, the dance club of SIBM Bengaluru taking over the dance floor with the kids with energetic dance performances. Next up were the Cultural Performances which truly showed what dreams mean and what dreamers are capable of. The sheer creativity of the kids took the spirit of the day several notches higher with an ecstatic audience cheering on. The Art and Craft activity that followed witnessed the little dreams getting shapes of their own and colors of their might. Strokes of brush and paint brought to life a childhood that is so dear to all. A host of games were organized that were both fun and educative. Also, there was a fun filled magic show to entertain our little guests.
Jzaa – The Dramatics club of SIBM Bengaluru also performed for the children to draw out their amazement!
“All we hope is to give these children a day to remember. Every year Utthaan has sprinkled moments of unconditional happiness into the lives of hundreds of kids. I am glad this year too, we managed to make it great and give these little kids a memory to live”, said Rakhi Khandelwal, the coordinator of the Social Responsibility Committee of SIBM Bengaluru. Utthaan 2019 ended with a warm farewell to the kids, accompanied by goodie bags that gave these little ones a joy that words cannot describe.The kids were bid adieu with a silent but sincere promise of inviting them again and celebrating dreams, life and everything in between and beyond.
