Arun Vijay Confirms
Of late Arun Vijay has confirmed that he is not enacting a negative role in Saaho. Earlier it was rumored that Arun Vijay plays a negative role in Prabhas’ magnum opus action entertainer film Saaho. Now, in a recent media interaction, Arun Vijay confirmed that his role doesn’t have any negative shades. The Yennai Arindhaal baddie says that he has only a few schedules left in the film. Directed by Sujeeth, Shraddha Kapoor plays the female lead in Saaho & Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy trio is composing the music for this trilingual film, which will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi. Besides Saaho, Arun Vijay’s heroic crime thriller film Thadaam with director Magizh Thirumeni is nearing completion and he is also getting ready for his 25th film, which is likely to be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Dhanush To Wield A Megaphone For a 2ndTime
Dhanush is now all set to wield a megaphone again. Yes! He is all set to direct a new film for Sri Thenandal Films? The latest hot buzz in Kollywood is that Dhanush will be directing a film for the reputed production house Sri Thenandal Films. The new film is a period script and Dhanush himself will be seen playing the lead role. Dhanush debuted as a director with Pa. Paandi but he only played a special cameo in the film. “Dhanush is currently busy shooting for Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thotta and after that, he will join the sets of Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2. Dhanush’s second directorial film will start rolling by the end of next year.” Dhanush & Sri Thenandal Films’ were supposed to join hands for a film with Karthik Subbaraj but now, it looks like the project has been put on hold.
Jai All Set To Romance Three Heroines
Jai is now all set to romance three actresses in his next movie. Jai has recently completed shooting for his Pongal release Kalakalappu 2, his horror thriller Balloon is also gearing up for a grand release on 29th Dec, 2017. The latest update on Jai is that he will be seen romancing three heroines including Catherine Tresa, Raai Laxmi & Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in a romantic thriller based on snakes. To be directed by Suresh, the shoot of the film will kick start in Jan, 2018. “Announcing my next venture in Tamil pairing with the rockstar @Actor_Jai @varusarath, Catherine Tresa gonna be Super fun shooting for a love thriller based on snakes directed by director Suresh (Eththan fame)(sic)”, tweeted Raai Laxmi.
Jayam Ravi’s Next Is Adanga Maru
Jayam Ravi’s next movie has now been titled as Adanga Maru. Jayam Ravi’s twenty fourth film has now been titled as Adanga Maru. To be directed by debutante Karthik Thangavel, the shoot of Adanga Maru commenced recently in Chennai. “Happy to announce the title of my next project ADANGA MARU Shooting started recently in Chennai. Raashi Khanna, who had maked her debut with Imaikkaa Nodigal has been roped in to play the female lead in the film & Sathya Sooryan of Maya & Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame will handle the cinematography. The film is likely to be released in the second half of 2018.
Raj Tarun’s New Problem
Young hero Raj Tarun is in a new predicament. He has two films lined up for release, one happens to be Rajugadu being made by AK Entertainments Banner and another film is Rangularatnam, being produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni under the Annapurna Banner. Incidentally, AK Entertainments wanted to release the film for Sankranthi, but Annapurna Banner wanted the date and they made no bones that they will not push back the date. Raj Tharun did not want to get involved in this tussle and left the issue to his producers. AK Entertainments did not want a face – off with Annapurna Studios and got out of the fray. But Annapurna Studios got busy with Hello in the process and given Nagarjuna Akkineni’s involvement with the project, he will barely be available for other projects till the film releases on 22nd Dec, 2017. So Rangularatnam has been put aside. No first look has been released, no publicity given so far. Similarly, AK Entertainments too has put aside Rajugadu as they are now focused on Kirack Party which will release in Feb, 2018. And hero Raj Tarun has adopted a “wait & watch” policy.

Prerana Displays Her Commitment
Prerna recently displayed her commitment. Prerana has shown commitment towards the role and took part in the shoot even after blood oozing out from her head. Just recently Recently for Mooka Hakki Prerna of Thithi fame showed her commitment & dedication. She took part in the shoot even after an ox pierced her waist in the climax shooting. Prerana was taking part in the shooting of Choori Katte, the pistol in the hand of actor Achyuth Kumar in the role of a forest officer accidentally hit on the forehead of Prerana. Blood came out quickly from Prerana’s forehead. Immediate attention was given to her but for further care in the hospital Prerana decided to attend after the climax shoot. At this time the director Raghu Shivamogga immediately changed the positions. Prerana was captured in the side angle for completion of the shoot. Later the medical attention in a hospital was given to Prerana. So in case of Prerana, it was not sweating out in giving performance but giving blood for the shooting without disturbing the producer. The team members applauded Prerana for carrying out the continuity.

Although she is a top league actress in Telugu, her films have fared badly of late making producers & directors to think twice about casting her. With a series of flops this year like Winner, Jaya Janaki Nayaka & SPYder her success ratio has come down drastically. Thankfully, Khakee did well at the Box – Office turnstiles, but like in SPYder, Rakul Preet Singh’s role was highly criticized. So, what will be her movies in 2018? As of now, she is said to have signed director Harish Shankar’s multi – starrer. And being an author backed role, Rakul Preet Singh is said to have given her nod to it. The film will of course have two heroes and one other heroine. On the other hand, while Rakul Preet Singh was the 1st choice for Ram Charan’s film with Sreenu Boyapati, the makers are thinking of casting Anu Emmanuel or Raasi Khanna in the film. Meanwhile, Anu Emmanuel has already given her nod.
