The speakers, Moinuddin Ibn Nasrullah (student of Islam and socio-politics, Ahmedabad ) and Iftikhar Islam (Founder, GPRF, Belgaum) with their intense research presented on “Media And Muslims” with the help of various news reports and facts.
Moinuddin Ibn Nasrullah said that today Media across the globe including Indian Media has deployed Information War against Islam and Muslim. He explained in detail about Information Warfare and how it is fought to achieve self-designed agenda.
He also said that today Indian Media is not just spreading misinformation about Islam but also spreading Disinformation about Islam. And he gave various examples of it.
He warned people (by giving few examples of WhatsApp anonymous forwaded messages) about the lies being spread by the people who have hidden agenda to misguide people.
The recent attack on “ISIS” in Afghanistan with MOAB bomb, which costs 314,000,000 $ US. Moinuddin Ibn Nasrullah said if in above News the word “ISIS” is removed then whole world can turn against US. But US is managing the perception of the world by giving the excuse of “ISIS”. And this is being achieved with the help of Media. None in the Media is questioning US why they have spent 314,000,000 $ US for killing less than 100 “terrorists”? The purpose of this bombing was really killing of terrorist or it was testing of MOAB so that later on it can be used in Middle East? Moinuddin Ibn Nasrullah questioned.
Today it is being lectured to the Indian Muslims by Media to come forward and start doing deradicalization of Muslim youngsters. But nobody is questioning about the radicalization of the Hindu youngsters. Nobody is asking Hindu society to come on the street against Gau-Rakshaks who are killing raping innocent Muslims in the name of Cow Protection. Why this double standard? Iftikhar Islam(Founder of Global Peaceand Research Foundation, Belgavi) has presented a short presentation and said Islam means Peace, but today Islam is being linked with terrorism. And this is the power of Media.
He bashes out the right wing organizations of India who questions about the patriotism of Indian Muslims. And gave befitting replies to the Indian Media on Triple Talaq issue as well.
He said, “After freedom Muslims had a choice of going to Pakistan, but we chose India as our residence. We are Indian by choice and nobody have any right to question our patriotism and Indianness.”
Iftikhar Islam said, “People are worried about growing Muslim population. How can triple talaq is rampant when Muslim population is growing?” He argued.
He urged the Muslims to use the social media effectively and present the true news and events verified by themselves.
He also talked about education where Muslims should establish their Universities where Muslims students are allowed to offer Salah regularly and Muslim women are encouraged to wear hijab. He also said that Muslims should come up with their curriculum with Quran as a base and Arabic as a basic language.
He also urged Muslims to become educationist, media persons, IAS, IPS, etc.
The presentation struck a chord directly with the attendees during the Q&A session where the speakers answered the questions raised by the keen listeners.
