Raja (Siddharth Jadhav) is an innocent village boy living with his mother (Savita Prabhune) & his sister (Geeta Bagde). This mama’s boy always speaks the truth and lands everyone in trouble. So off he goes to Goa to work in his friend Anthony’s (Yogesh Shinde) garage. Later on he meets Priya (Manasee Deshmukh) and they both fall in love. But after a few mishaps Raja starts telling lies and starts conning people left, right & centre. All hell breaks loose which leads to murder & mayhem.
Director Praveen Raja Karle has made the 1st half of Duniya Geli Tel Lavat fairly entertaining but looses his grip in the 2nd half which leads to a lot of confusion. Music composer Shrirang Aras has delivered a few catchy numbers. Siddharth Jadhav in his new avatar & looks, as a leading man, is impressive but looks exhausted due to overwork in some scenes. Mansee Deshmukh adds to the glamour quotient. While the rest of the actors are adequate.
The 2nd half of the film’s plot is totally hackneyed.
Duniya Geli Tel Lavat is neither here nor there. It tries to impress the rural as well as the urban cine goer’s but misses the boat in both the cases.
