Parsis are a minority community which is mostly steeped in myths galore. and director Oorvazi Irani has tried her best to clear all the misconceptions prevalent about the Parsis in lieu with their religion.
Plot: The film tells the journey of a young woman born into Zoroastrianism, the religion of her forefathers. Her journey starts with a remote village where she sees her grandfather die, to Mumbai, where she is welcomed by her aunt’s adopted son who confesses that he still loves her.
Aces: A laudable effort by a 1st time director Oorvazi Irani. Besides she has succeeded in extracting good work from her technicians.
Minuses: The performance of all the actors including the director Oorvazi Irani in the central role leaves much to be desired.
Last Word: A very relevant film on the exploration of one’s religious faith.
