Belagavi, Mar 29 : Three members of a family were killed on the spot and three others injured when a car in which they were traveling collided against a truck at Hebbal village in Kanapur taluk in the district last evening.
Police said on Friday that the deceased hailing from Nagenahalli in Bengaluru and they were identified as B S Babayya (65) and his daughter in-law Azirabi (34) and grand son five-year-old Jayad Abbas.
The Injured were Zahir Abbas son of Babayya (38), Chandbeebi Wife of Babayya and grand son James Ahmed (8) were admitted to Hospital.
Babayya family members had been to Goa and were returning to Bengaluru when the mishap took place.
Kanapur and Nandgad police station senior officials visited the spot and registered the case.
