Winners of this round to represent India at the International Su-doku Championship 2017to be held in Bengaluru
After their triumph at regional rounds in various cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata, the national round of the Times Su-doku Championship was held in Mumbai on 1st October 2017. Following a grueling 2-hour long competition, during the national level rounds, 4 winners have been selected to represent India on the global level. The four selected winners include Harmeet Singh (42, Bengaluru); Pranav Kamesh (17, Chennai), Kishore Kumar Sridharan (28, Chennai) and Hemant Kumar Malani (19, Kolkata).
The team consists of two experienced and two next-genparticipants. Among the four finalists, Pranav and Kishore have previously represented India at the World Su-doku Championship; Pranav has qualified for the third time. Harmeet and Hemant will be representing India for the first time.
Speaking on the occasion 42-year-oldHarmeet Singh, a software engineer from Bengaluru, who has qualified for the first time said, ”Su-doku is my hobby, I practice it online on a daily basis and I make sure that I am in touch regularly. I am excited about the World Championship, in my free time I participate in competition that keeps me motivated.”
