The North Division police of JC Nagar police arrested two habitual offenders and recovered seven stolen two wheelers Worth Rs 4.3 lakh from them.
The two accused name has been withheld due to new guidelines.
Senior officer told media persons,the JC Nagar police team were on patrolling near Nandidurga on Sunday during patrolling our police team found two persons moving suspiciously in the area and kept a close watch on their movements and when they found that the accused is trying to steal bikes.The two accused were caught red handed.
During investigation the duo confessed the crime and the team grilled them and the duo spilled the beans and based on their statement the team has recovered seven stolen bikes worth of Rs.4.3 lakhs from them.
A detailed investigation by the team it was revealed that the duo are habitual offenders arrested in 2016 for bikes theft cases.
After releasing on bail the accused were doing odd jobs but due to lock down, they lost jobs and resorted to their old habit of stealing bikes and selling them to throw away prices are now cooling their heels in jail.
