The Northeast Division police of Vidyaranyapura police on Thursday arrested a 31-year-old woman house break thief and recovered 75 grams of gold and 630 grams of silver articles from her.
The accused has been identified as,Jayanthi Kuttiyamma,resident of Bhairasandra worked as domestic help but habitual offender involved in over 23 house break thefts reported in and around the city.
Senior officer told media persons,the Vidyaranayapura police inspector received a complaint of 2 house break thefts in their locality.
The Vidyaranayapura police inspector,V Anil Kumar and his team swung into action the team with crime team visited the crime spot and after inspecting the area with the local intelligence and police investigation skills the team identified the culprit.
The team kept a close watch on the domestic help in their area and after getting suspicious on her behaviour the team secured her and took her to station for questioning.
During investigation the team got suspicious on her and took her into custody as her statement dint convince to the crime team the team grilled her in their own style and which forced her to confessed the crime and based on her statement the team recovered 75 grams gold and 630 grams of silver ornaments from her.
A detailed investigation by the team it was found the accused would move around the city and identify the locked house and steal them by breaking into the houses and it was found she is habitual offender wanted in 23 HBT cases further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A Subramanyeswara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,PI,V Anil Kumar and crime team as,PSI,Jameer M Avathi,SA Suresh,Shashikumar, Shivaprasad,Girish Jadav,Purshottam,Errappa Kumbar,Mudasir Nazar,Ganapathi khawasi, Prasad TC and other staff has been appreciated for nabbing the notorious habitual house break-in women thief a suitable reward will be given to the team for the commendable job done by them he added.
