The polling process for electing 222 legislators for Karnataka state Assembly has begun and women and senior citizens have been found in big numbers early in the morning to exercise their franchise.
The polling percentage till 09 am has been reported as follows:Bengaluru-10 percent,Bengaluru Rural-10,Kolar-10,Ramnagar-10,Koppal-11,Mandya-6.5,Chamrajnagar-5.5.Kodagu-13,Tumakuru-12,Chitradurga-10,Chikkamagaluru-11,Uttara Kannada-12,Udupi-15,Bidar-14 and Hasan-16.
Polling process has been delayed at several polling stations due to technical snags in VPAT devices.However the polling process continued after the snag was rectified.
