Young proprietor of the city-based Amrut Pharmaceuticals, which had turned into an easily recognized name due to ‘Amrut Malam’ ointment for treating different skin-related diseases, Shailesh Joshi (40), committed suicide by shooting himself at around 1.30 am on Monday, June 4.
It is learned that Shailesh was suffering from the liver-related disease. He likewise was experiencing a time of mental disturbance because of his recent divorce.
Shailesh shot at his chest by using his pistol in the early morning of Monday. Because of family disputes, he had formally separated from his wife on May 18 this year. His separated wife and two children live at Pune while Shailesh used to live with his mother in the city.
A suicide note was found in the room of the deceased where his body was found. Shailesh, through the note, has sought apologies from his children. While affirming that he is exclusively in charge of his own death, Shailesh has desired that his property should not be disposed off.
Subsequent to hearing gunshots during the evening, individuals living in the area woke from their sleep and passed on information to the police personnel of camp station here. The police who reached Shailesh’s home discovered his body lying in a pool of blood.
Shailesh’s grandmother, Mayi Joshi, had set up Amrut Pharmaceuticals in 1938. The organization has developed significantly and as of now employees many individuals.
