Ramesh Jarkiholi sleaze CD case: Ramesh Jarkiholi CD row gets new twist huge sum of cash found in lady’s house! Prime Suspect Naresh Gowda released video,SIT hunt on for woman :

While the SIT officials who are on the massive manhunt for the suspects in the case,Bhavit and Naresh Gowda, the alleged prime suspect  released a video claiming that they are nothing to do with the case and said that there is a conspiracy to implicate them.

Naresh Gowda released a video and admits that I know the woman in video, approached me stating that she has been cheated and sought help.

I told her to get the evidence and we have had conversation for few times, this does not mean that i have plotted everything.

The reason why i am not appearing before the SIT is for the abvious reasons. However ill appear before them in coming days and clarify.

Its a bigger plot and i have not taken money.I have borrowed loans paying EMI,if i had taken money why will cheque get bounce as if my salary gets late there will be a cheque and I am paying the charges for it.

The police are treating the people who helped the woman, and harassing them and their families, instead of investigating Ramesh Jarkiholi sleaze CD case.

The police instead of helping the woman, they are treating her as accused.

Meanwhile, social activist,Bhimappa Gundappa and Gadad filed a petition with cubbon park police seeking action against Ramesh Jharkiholi.

Based on his petition, the government formed SIT to probe about the CD, but why no action has been taken based on the statement of the woman,he questioned. He further requested the police to initiate action against Ramesh Jarkiholi .

Earlier SIT officials searched the house of the woman and a house in Basaveshwaranagar,  where the prime suspect was staying.

A team headed by Assistant commissioner of police,HN Dharmendra and team searched the house on Wednesday night.Sources in SIT said that they have found some valuables including huge cash,SIM card and eletronic gadgets from her house.

The officials took a search warrant from the court before going for search. They have also recorded the statement of the woman’s building owner.

Upon searching the house of prime suspect the officials found laptop, pen drive and recepit of gold valuables purchased worth few lakh.

The officials are now verifying the source of income to buy gold and the alleged Suspect also organised a grand function of his daughter’s naming ceremony.

The officials have sent the seized devises to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to retrieve the deleted data if any.

The SIT team who was in contact with the Belagavi police and the family members of the woman after they lodged a case of kidnap in Belagavi have now taken up the investigation of the kidnap case too.

On the directions of DG and IGP,Praveen Sood the case was transferred to RT Nagar police station. Soon after registering the FIR the case was transferred to SIT.

On the other hand a team is also making efforts to trace the woman. The woman is changing the places for every one or two hours, according to SIT officials.

In continuation of tracking the three prime suspects in the CD scandal, the SIT officials on Wednesday picked up three more persons into questioning who are linked to Tumakuru based journo,a prime suspect in the case.

The SIT officials searched the residence of the detainees situated in Manjunathnagar and seized some documents for analysis.

One among the three picked up for questioning is said to be working for the prime suspect and said to have vital information about the scandal.

The SIT team during probe found a businessman has paid huge amount to the suspects in the case and has paid in cash to the CD gang to release the CD and now he is too absconding.

The SIT team is verifying all the suspects bank account transaction and with other technology skills they are investigating the case in all the angles.

His statement is important for the ongoing investigation, sources, said.

Meanwhile,SIT issued 3rd notice to the woman in CD to appear before them.

This is the third notice issued to her.The officials who are probing the case in all angles says that her statement is crucial for the ongoing investigation.

Though the woman issued a statement recently accusing that she has been cheated and harassed, her statement before the competent authority is considered more reliable and admissible in the court of law said senior officer.

In another development to CD scandal,KN Jagadish Kumar, city based advocate approached city police commissioner,Kamal Pant claiming that guidelines issued after Nirbhaya case has been violated and demanded necessary protection for the woman in CD.

The police and the government bound to provide security for the woman who in her recent video accused Ramesh Jharkiholi of cheating and sexual harassment and requested Home minister for security.

Instead of considering her statement as evidence and registering case against Ramesh Jharkiholi, the government is providing security and treating others as suspects whoever are supporting her.

When Ramesh Jharkiholi filed complaint, the police register FIR but why are they not doing the due diligence when Dinesh Kallahalli filed a complaint seeking detailed investigation into the scandal or when the woman request security through a video,mr Kumar questions.

Drawing parlance to Nityananda CD case,he said, even though the Godman claimed that it was consentual act,the CiD based on the statement of driver registered a case and probe. The same logic should be apllied here too,he demanded.

The victim had in her recent video request home minister for security and said that she has been cheated.Based on this the police should take cognizance and register suo motu case, instead of witch hunt and treating the woman as accused,he said.

He further requested the commissioner in his submission that the police should register a case against Ramesh and investigate in detail.

After flak, Wakf Board says no curbs on morning azaan using speakers

March 18, 2021 by Nasheman

BENGALURU: After facing flak from the community over its order prohibiting the use of loudspeakers at mosques from 10 pm to 6 am, the Karnataka Wakf Board on Wednesday made it clear that the new directive will not stop morning azaan being called using loudspeakers by complying with the prescribed decibel limits. On March 9, the board issued a circular stating that loudspeakers should not be used from 10 pm to 6 am and loudspeakers can be used during the day by following ambient noise standards as per the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000. The circular also mentioned decibel levels to be maintained.

The move has not gone down well with community leaders, questioning the need for the circular without discussing it with them.  “The contents of the circular have been misrepresented. The prohibition on using loudspeakers was misinterpreted as a prohibition for morning azaan, which is not correct, despite clear instructions that loudspeakers shall be used only for azaan, important announcements such as death, the timing of burial, the sighting of the moon, etc,” the board stated in its latest circular issued on Wednesday.

“It is in the last stage of development and it will be circulated to others so that they can adjust the sound according to permissible limits. We care for people and we are doing it on our own and it was not correct to issue such a circular,” he  said.Congress MP and State Wakf Board Member Syed Nasir Hussain said Wakf board members discussed it over the phone and they will ask the board to put it on hold till the next meeting.

March 18, 2021 by Nasheman

NOIDA: The average air quality was recorded “very poor” across Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad, according to data issued by a government agency on Wednesday.

Pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 also remained high in the air of the five immediate neighbours of Delhi, according to the air quality index (AQI) maintained by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the index, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.

The average 24-hour AQI at 4 pm on Wednesday was 364 in Ghaziabad, 369 in Greater Noida, 328 in Noida, 314 in Faridabad and 309 in Gurgaon, according to CPCB’s Sameer app.

The CPCB states that an AQI in the “very poor” category may lead to respiratory illness on prolonged exposure.

Bus services, zoo, public gardens closed in Ahmedabad, home quarantine rules kick in Surat as Gujarat’s COVID-19 situation worsens

March 18, 2021 by Nasheman

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat government on Wednesday said that as part of the measures to control the spread of coronavirus, it has decided to increase the number of daily testing and vaccination besides putting special focus on contact tracing and increasing the number of micro containment areas wherever necessary.

This was decided at a core committee meeting held to review the pandemic situation in the state on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

It was held hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a video conference meeting with the chief ministers on the issue.

During the meeting, it was decided to assign the responsibility of four metros in the state – Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot – to senior officers to offer guidance to the local bodies.

Rupani said that the number of COVID-19 tests will be increased and the vaccine doses will be given to three lakh beneficiaries everyday as against one-and-a-half lakh presently by increasing the number of centres and extending the timing till 9 pm, a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said.

“Special focus will be given to contact tracing and increasing the number of containment zones wherever necessary,” it said.

Rupani also instructed the Home Department to strictly implement the rules of mandatory face masks and social distancing.

“In view of the increasing cases of coronavirus transmission in four metros in the state, the responsibility of these cities has been handed over to four senior officers on an urgent basis to offer guidance to the local bodies to control the infection and take treatment measures,” it said.

The responsibility of Ahmedabad has been assigned the Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Gupta, vadodara to Education Secretary Vinod Rao, Rajkot to Industry Commissioner Rahul Gupta, and Surat to GIDC Managing Director N Thennarasan.

Amid the spike in COVID-19 cases, the Ahmedabad civic body has decided to shut its city bus service- AMTS and BRTS – from Thursday, said its PRO.

Gujarat Wednesday reported 1,122 new COVID-19 cases, out of which the four districts of Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and vadodara alone accounted for 850 cases.

The Ahmedabad civic body on Wednesday announced the closure of the city zoo, lakefront and all public gardens here in view of the rising COVID-19 cases.

On Tuesday, the city recorded 241 new cases of coronavirus, a sharp increase from 40 cases reported a month back on February 16.

The COVID-19 tally in the city has gone up to 60,992, as per official figures.

“It has been decided to close all the gardens, Kankaria Lakefront, zoo, etc from March 18 till further orders in view of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said in a release.

The Gujarat government on Tuesday increased the night curfew timings in Ahmedabad and three other major cities — Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot — by two hours.

The curfew will now remain in force from 10 pm to 6 am, instead of the previous timings of 12 am to 6 am, till March 31.

As of Tuesday, there were 60 ‘micro-containment’ areas (where a number of COVID-19 cases have been found) in the city, the civic body said.

Ahmedabad has so far reported 2,269 deaths due to COVID-19, while 58,043 have recovered from the disease.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in the city stood at 95.3 per cent, as per the civic body.

Meanwhile, the Surat Municipal Corporation on Wednesday issued a notification making seven-day home quarantine mandatory for people travelling to the city from outside Gujarat.

The notification, issued under provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act, said if a person shows any symptom of the viral infection while in quarantine, he should immediately get tested.

“People coming to Surat city from outside Gujarat will have to undergo mandatory seven-day home quarantine and remain in isolation to prevent others at home from getting infected,” the notification said.

Those violating the order will face action under Indian Penal Code Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act and the Disaster Management Act, it stated.

The civic body on Tuesday said people working in textile and diamond industries here are required to get themselves tested for the viral infection once a week.

In daily tests, majority of those found infected are associated with the textile business, it had said, adding that testing has been intensified in crowded places, including diamond and textile units and educational institutions.

On Tuesday, Surat reported 263 cases, the highest in the state, raising the infection count in the city to 42,979, according to the civic body.

The city’s recovery rate stands at 95.22 per cent, with a total of 40,924 patients discharged so far, as per official data.
