Passenger Advisory: The high-security alert at the #BLRAirport might mean some additional wait time, queues and delays. We are working hard to ensure your safety. Do plan your travel accordingly. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Bengaluru police commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar, with Addl CPs,as,Alok Kumar,Seemanth Kumar Singh,BK Singh with all DCPs were present at the conference after the meeting with all the religious people and their Incharge and with all the stake holders, addressing the press conference Suneel Kumar said,In the back drop of the incidents that have taken place on 21st April 2019 at Srilanka. We have had an immediate meeting of the Deputy Commissioners of the Bengaluru Zones and they have been already instructed earlier to immediately gather information about the religious places where there will be lot of congregation and also Malls and Hotels and they have been asked to immediately instruct and seek  cooperation from them.

Even after that the Bengaluru city police as commissioner we felt that we will have a direct direct dialogue with the people who matters in this institutions. The religious places that includes all types of religions,Muslims,Christians,Hindus where there will be lot of foot falls we wanted to talk to their management, talk to the trustees, talk to the board members.

Similarly the experience that revealed out in Srilanka that the people were moving casually with baggages without any checks all this things and in some hotels also explosions have taken place we wanted to alert our hotel friends also to escalate the security measures like baggage scanners, physical checking and frisking of each and every individuals and to also to find out is address proper address with their proper identity to be taken as it is more important as far as the hotels and places were He/She is going to stay and similarly the places were people are also take houses on rent the establishment of their identity is more important. In that reason also in that connection also we have called the people from various institutions and we have elaborated the security measures that they can be taken and also to sort their cooperation in maintaining vigil.

In these places this is the most important idea of calling this meeting they have Co-operated they have come in huge numbers and they have responded to our call.We hope that they are all with us and see that the vigil is continued. It is not a temperoary basis we want it to be a permanent basis that is the reason we have called them and we assured them our cooperation and they have also assured us that they will be with us.When asked is any high alert,Suneel Kumar said,no such type of high alert it is a general awareness and want to create at the highest level that is the reason we have called them directly here.He even said there is no threat call no high alert have been received in Bengaluru it is in general because it is for awareness not only for this incident this awareness will be created constantly and regularly also that is why we have called it in highest level my officers will be taking this exercise at the may be Division level or at the Sub-Division level. When asked sir any feedback you got from the people you met,Suneel Kumar said some of them have suggested certain things like they were talking about the security lapses at the Srilanka,He said I told them we are not the correct forum to discuss it.

Somebody was telling in airport and hotels nobody checked us we were walking freely when they went to bring the one of the dead body they were casual we said the president himself has accepted after the multiple blasts.Somebody was telling that there should be frequent checking of Hard disks and CCTV footages to be done. When asked about the proposal of ATC as Anti Terrorists Cell to be set up in Bengaluru he said the proposal has been sent to government as it will be a separate Anti Terrorists Cell wing and which will be set up at CCB office and we have instructed all the five and seven star hotels where more foreigners stay we have asked them to take their proper identity and their details correctly to be maintained he added.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Shashikant Rai recorded the statement of Mr Modi in the defamation case filed against Mr Gandhi.

Besides it, Mr Modi also produced a CD containing recording of Mr Gandhi`s statement before the court through his counsel Arjun Kumar.

He also submitted an application through his counsel to the court praying for issuance of summon to Congress president as sufficient evidence was available for taking cognisance against him and also for issuing summon to him in the case. The counsel contended that the court should issue summon to Mr Gandhi as he was not present in the court.
After the hearing on application, the court reserved its judgement.
As it is, Mr Modi had filed a complaint petition in the court of chief judicial magistrate on April 18 this year. Stalin demands AIADMK govt to probe sexual assault complaint in Perambalur dist

April 26, 2019 by Nasheman

Chennai : DMK President M.K.Stalin on Friday demanded the AIADMK government to probe the sexual assault complaint in Perambalur district where innocent women were allegedly lured to a lodge with promise of job interviews, sexually abused them and then forced for further sexual favours to a ruling party leader.

In a statement issued here, Mr Stalin said a complaint was lodged by an advocate P Arul with Perambalur police on Sunday last and the affected women were not voicing out their trauma for fear of social repercussion.

The DMK President alleged that the the police are trying to cover up the case lodged against the sex predators.

Even as the Pollachi sexual abuse-cum-blackmail case is yet to reach a conclusion, the Sexual assault complaint has come to light in Perambalur district.

He said after May 23, there will be a change of government in the state and the new government will investigate and take serious action against those officials who watered down the case against the Pollachi and Perambalur sexual abuse-cum-blackmail culprits.

The Advocate in his complaint said, a group of men would befriend housewives and college girls and lure them to lodges on the pretext of job interview and sexually assault them.

The sexual assault is videographed and then the victims are blackmailed for further sexual favours.

Mr Stalin also demanded the state government to arrest the culprits involved in the sexual assault.

Karnataka’s Belagavi district continues to tremble under the reign of terror

April 26, 2019 by Nasheman

By : Manohar Yadavatti

Belagavi : hitherto known as Belgaum district bordering Maharashtra on one side and Goa on the other is an interesting, lively and a piquant portion of land well known and notoriously known for many a reason continues to reel under severe threat if at all you wish to ponder about democracy and civilian rights. The district is again back in headlines following the renewal of Ramesh Jharkiholi, former district minister and Gokak Congress MLA’s threat to bid adieu to the Congress party and join the Bharatiya Janata Party. This is not for the first time that the disgruntled Congress legislator is making his public stance clear for he had done so during the fag end of the previous year as well.

In fact, he was camping at a Mumbai private five-star hotel for weeks together along with a handful of Congress MLAs’ who was then seriously pondering over the issue of crossing over to the saffron party under the ‘Operation Lotus’ strategy of the BJP.However, the switching over didn’t take place as feared in some quarters of political circles and the Janata Dal-Secular(JDS) led Congress supported state coalition government managed to survive an imminent threat of very existence for the time being.HD Kumaraswamy, Chief Minister had himself proclaimed after taking over the reins of the state: I really do not know whether this government will complete its full term or not but one thing of which I am very much sure is that it will survive till the general elections to the Lok Sabha are over!

Now that the Parliamentary polls are over and hectic political developments have begun with the utterances of Ramesh Jharkiholi and the like it may not be a big wonder if the count down for the collapse of the JDS-INC government is already in progress.Sometime back there were whispers within the political sphere hinting at the possibilities of the coalition government being toppled after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections and a National Democratic Alliance(NDA) regime assuming office at the Center. But the way swift developments have commenced in the political field it may not be a big surprise if the coalition government is dislodged even much before that pre-planned schedule.
Belagavi’s history is literally wonderful as the land is renowned for warriors like Sangolli Rayanna, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Belavadi Mallamma among many others. All of them fought the British before being martyred. If Rani Chennamma was the queen of Kittur kingdom, Sangolli Rayanna was the chieftain of her army and man behind her military success.Belavadi Mallamma has the unique distinction of forming an all women’s army which feat hardly has any parallel in the pages of history. While the heroic personalities sacrificed their lives fighting against British the same kingdoms also gave birth to traitors who befriended, tipped and ensured the English rulers nab the former.

Perhaps bravery and the qualities of becoming a traitor are inherent and part and parcel of the lifestyle of the people here. The heroism of the local people continued in a very big way during freedom struggle also as the district boasts of a huge number of tall personalities who took part in it. Likewise many Khadi and Village industries, part of the Gandhian movement continue to remain while some of them like the ones at Sureban of Ramadurg Taluk remain on the deathbed.

If Belagavi is popular for the sweet Kunda, so is Gokak for Kardant full of dry fruits and Ladgi Undi(Laddu). Gokak is also known for its picturesque Gokak Falls, more than a century old Hanging Bridge over the Ghataprabha river and wood artifacts. The people here are highly regarded when it comes to generosity and hospitality as they go to any extent to make their guests happy.Well, there’s another extreme in human relations as the same district till recently was notoriously known for the highest number of murders in the state.

Gokak and Bailhongal Taluks vied with one another in topping this list and most of these fatal crimes took place for the greed of land, property, and lust for the fair sex. Thanks to more than two dozen co-operative and private sugar mills, it goes without saying that the soil here is much fertile enriched by many rivers and rivulets.India maybe 72 years old but not Belagavi district, lament many votaries for freedom of expression as they confess: Belagavi hasn’t got any freedom till date as people are scared to express their opinion on anything in open! The district people have been living in constant fear when it comes to expressing their views about the handful of politically dominant families and don’t even open their mouth if you are considered a rank outsider!

Late Vasantrao Patil remained a terror as long as he enjoyed his political innings with Congress, Old Congress, and the Janata Party. He also holds the dubious distinction of ditching all these party leaders apart from toppling the state government a couple of times.Umesh Katti, former minister, BJP leader and Prakash Hukkeri, Chikkodi INC MP hail from rich families and are related having a considerable clout on district politics in their own way.Likewise, are the Jharkiholi brothers. Ramesh is the first son of his father’s first wife while Satish, Balachandra, Bhimashi, and Lakhan are the sons of the second wife.

Ramesh is Gokak Congress MLA while Bhimashi had contested against him during 2008 Assembly elections as a BJP candidate but now with the Congress.Balachandra is the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Arabhavi and former minister. If Ramesh has been a Congressman since his inception to politics Satish and Balachandra have switched over to Congress and BJP from Janata Pariwar.
Now Ramesh has challenged his younger brother Ramesh Jharkiholi, Forest and district in-charge minister of contesting from Yamakanamaradi, home turf of the latter.Unlike the well to do political families, the Jharkiholis’ have occupied the corridors of power from rags to riches background and the Neo rich have spread their tentacles in all possible spheres of life thus making the lives of many possible adversaries miserable.

Many a political onlooker rubbish the public diatribe among the Jharkiholi brothers: The Jharkiholi brothers are known for enacting political drama like no one else could ever dare of. They enjoy power irrespective of which party takes over the reins in the state…
…The present fiasco is just one more card they are playing just to keep clinging to power as all of them remain united as a family irrespective of their mudslinging outside…

April 26, 2019 by Nasheman

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said that now TV anchors in support of Modi are unable to keep up with the PM’s acting expectations, he has roped in a real actor for the job.

Asaduddin Owaisi

HYDERABAD: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, while taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘apolitical’ interview with actor Akshay Kumar, said, “Now that the TV anchors in support of Modi are unable to keep up with the PM’s acting expectations, he has roped in a real actor for the job.”

Criticising the PM for farmers suicide and unemployment in the country, Owaisi said, “He (Modi) called the actor to his home, and got himself interviewed in the lush green gardens, with peacocks singing and cooing in the background.

In the interview he claims that he doesn’t sleep for more than four hours in a day. If that was the case, why are farmers committing suicide? Why were 50 kg of explosives found in Pulwama? How come two crore youths are still unemployed?”

Britain’s Prince William meets Christchurch shooting victims’ families, survivors

April 26, 2019 by Nasheman

WELLINGTON : Britain’s Prince William on Friday met with about 160 survivors and the victims’ families at Al Noor Mosque, one of the two mosques attacked on March 15 in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Prince William said to survivors of the attacks, “Hate will fail to divide us.”

On the second day of the Duke of Cambridge’s visit to New Zealand, he visited Christchurch at Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s invitation to show the royal family’s support following the shootings which killed 50 people in two mosques.

“On the 15th of March, tragedy unfolded in this room. A terrorist attempted to sow division and hatred in a place that stands for togetherness and selflessness,” the prince said in his speech.

“When I woke up in London on the morning of the 15th of March, I could not believe the news, an act of unspeakable hate had unfolded in New Zealand, a country of peace. And it had unfolded in Christchurch, a city that has endured so much more than its fair share of hardship. When it was confirmed that 50 New Zealand Muslims had been killed, murdered while peacefully worshipping, again I just could not believe the news,” he told the gatherings.

He said New Zealand’s response to the shooting was an example to inspire the world.

“I have had reasons myself to reflect on grief and sudden pain, and loss in my own life. In my role I have often seen up close the sorrow of others in moments of tragedy, as I have today,” he said.

The prince also said Ardern showed extraordinary leadership of compassion and resolve.

Prince William went around the room to talk to individual families affected by the tragedy after his speech.

The visit, on behalf of the Queen, were heavily guarded by the armed police.

On Thursday, the Anzac Day, the Duke of Cambridge placed a wreath on the war memorial cenotaph in the Auckland Domain while attending Anzac Day services.
