How To Make Passive Income With Blogging

April 27, 2022 by Nasheman

By Zahid H Javali

Blogging income is growing year after year. Starting a blog and monetising it can be one of the best ways to build up passive income. The number of bloggers is forever increasing. So, creating your own niche is the best bet. I am going to talk about how you can make passive income with blogging in this article. By the end of this post, you will know how to start a blog and make money from it using different methods. So, let’s get started!

Take full advantage of Google Adsense

This is a program that allows anyone to sign up and place a code on their website. Once placed, Google will display ads on your website. You earn money when users click on those ads.

AdSense is by far one of the best ways for any beginner to start making passive income with a blog or website. But remember that blogging is a marathon, not a sprint. You won’t make much money from it until your blog has good traffic. Once your content gains traction and respectability, money will start to trickle in.

To take full advantage of AdSense, be sure to post new content consistently. Aim for 2-3 times a week at first. Optimise your content to appear higher on the search results pages (SERPs). As traffic increases and readership goes up, so will your AdSense earnings!

Generate your own traffic from blog content

You don’t need a lot of money to make passive income. You can make money with your blog while you sleep. A blog is like a website. But instead of making money from ads, you make money from people clicking on the links in your content.

To start a blog for some passive income, here are the steps:

  • Pick a niche or area that interests you. Don’t pick a niche that is too competitive. Avoid starting blogs on finance, food, travel, sports, fashion, technology, health, or news.
  • Decide what you’ll write about. Come up with an interesting topic related to your interest area. For example, if you’re interested in fishing, then write about it. This topic must be generating traffic online. No point in writing about something that results in little to no traffic. To find out, use a tool like Google Trends to find out the number of searches for that keyword phrase. For example “homeschooling” would show up when someone searches for “homeschooling near me”.
  • Write at least one article per month with this keyword phrase. This is blogging. Blogs also contain photos, embedded videos, and infographics to draw more attention. Blogs tend to do well when you update them often with fresh content. The ranking of your article goes up on Google when people click on the link. Write different articles every time to keep the reader on your website.

Choose a topic that has the potential to generate a lot of interest

When choosing a topic, choose one that has the potential to generate much interest. You won’t be able to make money off your blog if it is a topic that no one cares about.

You want to choose a niche (or topic) that you are passionate about. The more you enjoy the process, the more likely you will be able to stick with it and keep going.

Here are some super profitable niches that have worked in the past. If you choose any of these broad categories, pick a topic that is less competitive to stand out:

  • Personal finance
  • Health
  • Travel
  • Technology/gadgets
  • News/politics/current events
  • Parenting/family life (i.e., Mommy Bloggers)
  • Pets (dogs, cats, etc.)
  • Sports (fantasy football is huge!)
  • Food (recipes, cooking tips)
  • Fashion/style

Ask for advice for free

If you want to make money with your blog, but don’t have any money to spend on it, use the free resources online. You can use Google (or Bing) and search for some free advice on the topic of making passive income with your blog. You can also ask your friends and family for advice, or look for answers on forums. Both should be free options as well. You could also use social media to ask for advice. The best bets would be the many blogger groups on Discord, Slack, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Leverage your credibility by linking to blogs run by experts

Guest blogging is best in this space. The more people share their ideas and thoughts about passive income, the better it gets! Linking to other blogs written by experts on similar topics is gold. It is another great way to leverage your credibility—and help increase that of others in your niche as well. But, don’t link back only for the sake of personal exposure. The blogs you link should always be relevant to your subject matter.

Guest blog for other blogs with high authority

Now that you have your own blog, it’s time to write some content. You can start with a guest post on a blog with high authority. This is a great way to attract readers to your own blog. But make sure you choose blogs in the same niche as your own. And, of course, make sure that you write awesome posts!

Join in on a discussion on Twitter, Facebook or in an online forum

Do a little research to find relevant hashtags and online forums. Researching “blogging ideas” will give you some indications of the topics people like. So, find what people are talking about and join the conversation. You can also search Twitter, Facebook, or other industry-specific websites for more ideas.

Work on your communication skills so that you can get your message across. If you know how to use effective words, it’ll be easier for readers to understand your ideas and opinions.

Blogging can be a great way to create passive income

Blogging is a great way to generate passive income and make money from the internet. Blogging is the practice of writing an article on a topic and publishing it on the web. Through engaging articles, you build loyal followers.

It is possible to make passive income blogging, but you can’t expect instant results. You have to put in the time and figure out a way to get the most out of your blog. Be prepared to keep working at it, because it takes time to see any results.

Conclusion

Running a blog can be gratifying and profitable. Things are especially good for those who have things to promote. Such as a product, service or business. You don’t even need prior experience as an author. All you need is patience, persistence, and passion.

Dharam Sansad hate speech case: SC raps Uttarakhand on hate speech ahead of event in Roorkie

April 26, 2022 by Nasheman

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday rapped Uttarakhand government on the preventive measures at the Dharam Sansad event to be held in Roorkie tomorrow.

“Uttarakhand submits that all preventive measures have been taken in this matter and the concerned authority are confident that no such statements would be made in the event. All such steps will be taken in this regard. This shall be placed on record by the chief secretary…” Justice AM Khanwilkar said.

The Chief Secretary of the state of Uttarakhand has been asked to take preventive measures and place the details on record by May 9.

The top court expressed anguish when state of Uttarakhand’s counsel said that the matters are being effectively dealt by the concerned authorities.

“We are doing our duty… There is a colour being painted on a certain community. The community you are trying to protect is also doing this. We are taking steps… We are registering FIRs and taking actions.” The counsel said.

The top court came down heavily on this and said that FIRs are registered after the event has take place, and they are concerned with the preventive measures in the matter.

“There is no problem of trust. What we see on the ground is a different thing. This is not the way you address this…We don’t want to your assurance, you’ll be held accountable if something like that happens again. You are not doing a favour to anyone but abiding by our instructions.” The court orally remarked.

The Supreme Court on April 22 had asked Delhi Police to file a better affidavit on the alleged hate speech at the Dharam sansad event in Delhi.

Delhi Police in an affidavit filed before the apex court has denied the allegations of hate speech in Dharam sansad events held in Delhi during December 2021.

The top court was hearing the petition that sought probe into allegations of hate speech at the “dharam sansad” in Haridwar and Delhi in December 2021.

I& B Ministry blocks 16 Youtube channels for allegedly spreading misinformation hatred

April 26, 2022 by Nasheman

NEW DELHI: The crackdown continued on online video sharing and social media platforms, which were spreading false news, with the minister of information and broadcasting (I&B) blocking 16 YouTube news channels and one Facebook page.

According to the ministry, 10 channels were based in India and six were being operated from Pakistan. Their cumulative viewership is 68 crore.

The action against social media accounts and Youtube channels, running fake news and spreading coordinated disinformation, began in December. Since then, the Government has blocked more than 90 channels and social media networking accounts.

“Utilizing the emergency powers under the IT Rules, 2021, the ministry of I&B, 2021, vide two separate orders on April 22, issued directions for blocking of 16 YouTube news channels and one Facebook account,” confirmed the ministry on Monday.

None of the blocked digital news publishers had furnished information to the ministry as required under IT rules.

The content published by Indian YouTube channels referred to a community as terrorists, and incited hatred among the members of various religious communities. Such content was found to have the potential to create communal disharmony and disturb public order.

“Multiple India based YouTube channels were observed to publish unverified news and videos having the potential to create panic among various sections of the society. Examples include false claims related to announcement of a pan-India lockdown due to COVID-19 thereby threatening the migrant workers, and fabricated claims alleging threats to certain religious communities. Such content was observed to be detrimental to public order in the country,” read a statement issued by the ministry.

On Saturday, the ministry had advised private television news channels not to run false claims and use scandalous headlines.

The blocked channels ran fake news such as Germany demanding sanctions on India, Saudi Arabia announcing stopping oil export to India, Turkey destroying India’s S400 defence system, and Russia hanging 40 Indian soldiers in Ukraine.

The channels which have been blocked are Saini Education Research, Hindi Mein Dekho, Technical Yogendra, Aaj te news, Defence News24x7, The study time, Latest Update, MRF TV LIVE, and Tahaffuz-E-Deen India. All these were based in India. The blocked Pakistani channels are AjTak Pakistan, Discover Point, Reality Checks, Kaiser Khan, The Voice of Asia, and Bol Media Bol. The banned facebook is Tahaffuz E Deen Media Services INDIA.

Earlier this month, the ministry blocked 22 such channels and social media handles. In January, the minister issued directions to block 35 YouTube news channels and two websites. In December, it took action against 20 YouTube Channels and two websites, operating from Pakistan under the same provisions for the first time.

Court seeks Mumbai police’s reply to bail plea of Rana couple in sedition FIR

April 26, 2022 by Nasheman

Independent MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana

MUMBAI: A sessions court here on Tuesday asked the Mumbai police to file on April 29 their reply to a bail application of jailed independent MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband, MLA Ravi Rana.

The couple had on Monday moved the court seeking bail in an FIR registered by the Mumbai police against them on charges of sedition and promoting enmity, after they gave a call to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s private residence ‘Matoshree’ in suburban Bandra.

When the matter came up for hearing in the court on Tuesday, the police said they want to respond with an affidavit to the bail plea. The court accepted this and posted the matter for further hearing on April 29.

The Ranas were arrested by the Mumbai police on Saturday.

Ranas’ advocate Rizwan Merchant on Monday said the couple decided to withdraw their bail plea pending before the Bandra magistrate court that had remanded them to 14-day judicial custody on Sunday.

Merchant had said the suburban Khar police initially booked the Ranas under Indian Penal Code Section 153(A), for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups.

At the time of their remand, the police informed the magistrate court that they had added the charge of sedition, under IPC Section 124A, against the couple in the first FIR.

Their bail plea said the call to recite the Hanuman Chalisa outside ‘Matoshree’ was not a calculated move to promote feelings of enmity or hatred and the charge under section 153(A) cannot be sustained.

There was no intention on part of the applicants to instigate or create hatred by offering Hanuman Chalisa near ‘Matoshree’, the couple said in their plea.

It is submitted that by no stretch of imagination can the acts of the applicants be stated to constitute the offence of sedition, the plea said.

Further, the Mumbai police had issued notice under section 149 of the CrPC and the applicant (Navneet Rana) had complied with the police’s direction and not stepped out of her residence, it added.

Navneet Rana, the Lok Sabha MP from Amravati in eastern Maharashtra, and Ravi Rana, the MLA from Badnera in Amravati, had eventually dropped their plan to recite the Hanuman Chalisa (hymns dedicated to Lord Hanuman) on Saturday outside Thackeray’s home, citing the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mumbai for an event on Sunday.

Rajasthan High Court notice to Pilot camp MLAs in 2-yr-old plea

April 26, 2022 by Nasheman

JAIPUR:  The Rajasthan High Court has issued notices to 18 Congress MLAs, including Sachin Pilot, on a two-year-old petition challenging the notice issued by Assembly Speaker under the anti-defection law during their rebellion against the Ashok Gehlot government. The court has sought their response by May 25.

In July 2020, while holding the posts of party president and deputy CM, Pilot, along with 18 Congress MLAs, had rebelled against the government. During the rebellion, Speaker CP Joshi issued notices to the rebel MLAs under the anti-defection law. PR Meena, on behalf of the Pilot camp, had challenged this notice in the high court. Later in August 2020, the Pilot camp and CM Gehlot’s camp reconciled.

Despite reconciliation, the petition in connection with the notice has been remaining pending in the high court. Among the MLAs who have been issued notices, five are ministers.  They include ministers Vishvendra Singh, Hemaram Chaudhary, Ramesh Meena, Brijendra Ola, and Murarilal Meena.

During the hearing on Monday, it was argued that all the rebel MLAs have returned to the Congress party and many of them have also become ministers in the Gehlot cabinet. So, there is no point in pursuing the case. Upon this,  the high court has asked the legislators to file their response.

More desertions from Congress in poll-bound Gujarat

April 26, 2022 by Nasheman

AHMEDABAD:  With the poll fever in Gujarat rising every day, the season of switching loyalties is also peaking. Political leaders are busy exploring options and looking for greener pastures keeping the electoral prospects of various parties in mind. The latest to jump the ship are Manilal Vaghela and Kailash Gadhvi, both from the Congress, who have decamped to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), respectively.

Vaghela, a former Congress MLA whom the party had denied ticket in the 2017 Assembly elections in favour of Independent candidate Jignesh Mevani, joined the BJP on Sunday along with several of his supporters. State BJP president CR Patil welcomed him to the party fold at the ‘Vijay Vishwas Sammelan’ in Vadgam town of Banaskantha district.

Vaghela, who was among the senior-most Congress leaders in the state and was associated with the party right from the beginning of his political career, had resigned from the party in November last year. With Mevani, Vadgam’s current MLA, arrested in Assam and Vaghela now in the BJP, it will interesting to see the how the poll battle will be poised in the constituency that has been a Congress bastion.

Since being thrown out of Vadgam, the veteran had nursed a grievance and said as much in his letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He had pointed out  that injustice was done to him despite his loyalty to the party during Ahmed Patel’s Rajya Sabha election in 2017, when around 15 party MLAs resigned.

Vaghela had earlier this month met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi. According to BJP sources, his induction is part of the party’s strategy to increase its presence on seats which are considered Congress strongholds. The party is eying the seats where it has traditionally been weak so as to offset any losses it may face in seats it had won last time.

Gadhvi, the longstanding spokesperson of Congress, also left the party on Sunday. “I do not think that the party (Congress) has the energy or the will to fight and conquer the ruling BJP. AAP has the power to fight evil and raise people’s issues and resolve them,” he said.
