Bengaluru schools receive bomb threat: The threat was in emails that came between 11 am and 11.10 am, purportedly from the US.

Multiple private schools in Bengaluru,mostly in the East and Southeastern parts of the city, received bomb threats via email around 11:10 am. triggering panic.

City Police and Bomb Disposal Squads rushed to the spot and conducted search at all the premises of these schools.

They completed operations at all the schools,which have been declared free of any danger.

The email is mostly a hoax.But we are taking it seriously and not leaving anything to chance, said,Kamal Pant commissioner of Bengaluru.

Police team started the drill and evacuated all the schools that received the threat.

A few schools were conducting exams.Parents were asked to come and pick up the children. Police officials ensured that exams were not disturbed,senior officials said.

Our teams are still searching every nook and crevice of these schools. We will not be able to confirm if it is a hoax or not until the investigation and search are complete,” said a senior police official

The schools that have received the threatening emails are:Delhi Public School,Sulakunte; Gopalan International School,Mahadevapura; New Academy School,Marathahalli;Ebenezer International School,Electronics City;St Vincent Pallotti School,Hennur; and Indian Public School, Govindapura.

Similar emails were also sent to the management of Ebenezer International School in Huskur in Hebbagodi police station limits,Redbridge International Academy on Begur-Koppa Road, and Candor International School on Koppa Road, both in Bannerghatta police station limits, in Bengaluru Rural district.

Teams of officials as local police and intelligence department is conducting investigation to trace the source of the email.

The email to all the schools read:A very powerful bomb has been planted in your school,attention is not a joke,this is not a joke,a very powerful bomb has been planted in your school, immediately call the police and sappers, hundreds of lives may suffer, including yours,do not delay,now everything is only in your hands!

City based social activist has filed a complaint against Chandru Moger,co-ordinator of Hindu Jagruthi Samithi for spreading communal hatred on social media .

Zia Nomani,the complainant said that Chandru took to the Twitter and urged hindu community members to buy fruits only from the hindu fruit vendors and to end the monopoly of muslim in fruit business .

Chandru claimed that muslim traders spit on the fruits and bread they sell and termed it as spitting jihad.

Such statement are threat to national integrity and comment like this promote religious fundamentalism and fanatacisim.

Such statement of Chandru promote communal hatred and threat to social fabric of the society, he said and submitted video links and links of the news on his statement to the police,demanding action.

The events were made with a deliberate malicious intentions to harm and damage and attract penal action under section 153 A is to punish persons who indulge in wanting vilification or attacks upon the religion,race,place of birth,residence,language of any particular group or class or upon the founders and prophets of a religion.

The Sanjay Nagar police have taken up the complaint and seeking legal opinion to registering an FIR against Moger.

Under Section 499 (defamation) section 506 (criminal intimidation) and section 505 (makes, publishes or circulates any statement or report containing rumour or alarming news with intent to create or promote, or which is likely to create or promote, on grounds of religion,race, place of birth, residence, language, caste or community or any other ground whatsoever,feelings of enmity, hatred) of the Indian penal code.

Claiming that the Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra,had incited communal hatred over the murder of a youngster in Bengaluru,the Congress party on Wednesday filed a complaint against the Home Minister and BJP General Secretary CT Ravi.

Home minister Araga Jnanendra in trouble as members of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday filed a complaint against him for issuing provocative statement to spread wong message which could lead to communal disturbance in the society.

Reacting to the murder case reported in JJ nagar, Mr. Jnanendra said that a dalit youth was repeatedly stabbed to death as he could not speak urdu.

This is totally false and the police clarified that the murder was due to road rage.

This statement is uncalled for as being in responsible position his statement has put the muslim community in wrong side .

Even bjp leader CT Ravi reiterating Home minister statement to put the blame entirely on muslim community, is unpardonable.

The statement made by home minister amount to contempt of court and also derail the ongoing police investigation.

This is a serious offence which attract penal action,hence Mr.Jnanendra should be arrested under appropriate sections of IPC,general secretary,Y Puttaraju,who led the delegation and submitted the complaint to Malleshwaram police, said.

The police have forwarded the conplaint to senior officials and awaiting their opinion on this .

Kochi :Sources close to KV Thomas have indicated to our correspondent that he will attend a seminar at the CPI (M) party convention in Kannur.

KV Thomas,who was mentally estranged from Delhi and the Kerala leadership,had recently taken a stand in favor of the Left Front.

He feels that the Congress-Central leadership has severely neglected and insulted KV Thomas in the last Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Although KV Thomas arrived in Delhi to secure a seat in Kerala in the Rajya Sabha elections which were finally vacated, the central leadership refused to meet him.

KV Thomas is very sad and disappointed in this.KV Thomas,who was invited to a seminar at the CPI party congress,wrote a letter to the Congress-Party seeking permission but Sonia did not give permission.

KV Thomas,who was disappointed that Sonia Gandhi’s permission was not obtained, remained silent.

Statements made by Al-Qaeda chief on hijab row lend credence to the suspicion that ‘unseen hands’ were working to provoke youngsters in the state, Karnataka home minister Araga Jnanendra said on Wednesday.

In an 8.43-minute video clip released by As-Sahab,the official media wing of terror outfit Al-Qaeda, chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri showered praises on Karnataka college student Muskan Khan for shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ slogans to counter a group of boys who were chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’ in her college early February.

Muskan’s actions were seen as one of the flashpoints of the hijab controversy.

We have been saying this from the beginning, and the High Court too during the hijab verdict had suggested the possibility of some unseen hands behind the hijab row.

Now it is proved, because Al-Qaeda people are now releasing videos,Jnanendra said, in response to a question on Zawahiri praising Muskaan.

The hijab controversy first started at a government school in the Udupi district when six students were barred from entering classrooms because of wearing hijab.
