Bengaluru North University and Army Institute of Fashion & Design, Bengaluru organized a National Conference on “The Role of Innovations in Developing Sustainable Fashion Design and Luxury Fashion Goods” in association with M/s Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru at the Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Central College Campus, Bengaluru.
Major General K J Babu, YSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area was the Chief Guest and Prof T D Kemparaju. the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Bengaluru North University presided over the function. Mr Ashok Raman,Vice President, Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd delivered the Key Note Address.
Around 1050 delegates from the industry and fashion design and textile institutes from 28 institutes in Bengaluru and other states attended the conference.

The main goal of the conference was to debate on the burning topic of Sustainability. Without sustainability we cannot save the planet for future generations. This conference also provided an opportunity to all the fashion design students and Faculty members to understand the burning issues of environmental problems and the developments happening across the globe for better sustainability.
