December 20, 2019 by Nasheman

Internet services remained suspended for the fifth consecutive day while banking services and businesses have been badly hit.

CAB protest Citizenship Act protest protest

ALIGARH: A red alert was sounded and the city put under a heavy security cover in view of the first Friday prayers since the police crackdown on the students of Aligarh Muslim University protesting the Citizenship (Amendment) Act earlier this week.

A senior official said that District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh has issued a red alert, and 10 companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and four companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been deployed as a precautionary measure.

The heavy security measures are in view of the Friday prayers, officials said.

Internet services remained suspended for the fifth consecutive day while banking services and businesses have been badly hit.

The city has been witnessing continued demonstrations for the past few days, with the situation turning violent on Sunday when hundreds of AMU students protesting the amended Citizenship Act clashed with the police at a campus gate, leaving 60 injured.

Teachers from AMU took out a protest march on Thursday while shopkeepers in some areas of the city briefly downed shutters in support.

The other seats where polling is being held in this final phase are Rajmahal, Pakur, Nalla, Jamtara, Dumka (ST), Jama (ST), Jarmundi, Sarath, Poreyahat, Godda and Mahagama.

PFI Condemns Arrest Of Its State President, Calls Govt Allegations Connecting It To Assam Violence As ‘Baseless’

December 19, 2019 by Nasheman

Condemning the raids on its offices in Guwahati and the arrest of its State President Aminul Haque, Popular Front of India (PFI) has slammed the central government, accusing them of trying to silence organizations like them.

PFI Assam President Aminul Haque was arrested Tuesday in connection with the arson and the violence that took place outside the Janata Bhawan in Guwahati. There are allegations on Haque for instigating the mob to set public property on fire. This incident took place on December 12, the day when the Parliament passed the Citizenship (Amendment), Bill.

Earlier in the day, the Finance Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma accused PFI, Campus Front of India (CFI) and Assam Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) of being involved in the attack.

In an official statement released by the organisation, PFI’s National Secretary Abdul Wahid Sait termed the allegation against them as baseless and ill-motivated.

“These repressive actions of the police are totally biased as the fact is that no Popular Front leader or member had indulged in any violent activity. The police actions started after the statement of a state minister that alleged Popular Front among those who are behind a particular incident without showing any evidence. The Central Secretariat of Popular Front has termed the allegation baseless and ill-motivated,” the statement read.

Demanding the immediate release of Haque, PFI accused the BJP-led government of turning the agitation against the Citizenship Act as anti-Muslim, by targeting the organisation.

“The BJP agenda behind isolating and targetting Popular Front is to turn the ongoing ethnic agitation of Assamese people as anti-Muslim, in an attempt to ultimately break and defeat the present agitation,” it said.

According to the Citizenship Act, members of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have come from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan till December 31, 2014, and facing religious persecution there will not be treated as illegal immigrants but given Indian citizenship. The Act intentionally leaves out Muslims.

The BJP-led government has said the new law will be followed by a National Register of Citizens (NRC) that means Muslims must prove they were original residents of India and not refugees from these three countries. Non-Muslims listed in the law, by contrast, have a clear path to citizenship.

Unofficial emergency: CAA protestors bundled into autos, cars, buses!

December 19, 2019 by Nasheman

Section 144 been imposed for fear of peaceful protests. Because Karnataka is a BJP-ruled state, it is obvious that the law that prohibits “unlawful assembly” of four or more people is being misused here in the name of public safety. Today, several people who are against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) violated the prohibitory orders. The result? They were bundled into cars, buses and autos to prevent the protests from happening. The protestors were taken to marriage halls and kept under custody as jails could not accommodate so many of them. One legal website had this to say about Section 144: “Joining unlawful assembly armed with deadly weapon. Whoever, being armed with any deadly weapon, or with anything which, used as a weapon of offence, is likely to cause death, is a member of an unlawful assembly, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.”The CAA is anti-constitutional and goes against the grain of the idea of India. Several world bodies have voiced their concern, including students from reputable institutions like Harvard and Stanford. While the BJP says that Indian Muslims will not be affected, it’s just rhetoric as the minorities will have to prove their origins. With 14% of India’s population comprising Muslims, and most below the poverty line, it is widely known that they do not have their family tree carved out, as their grand fathers and their great grand fathers do not have their birth certificates. Their ration card, voter ID, passport and Aadhaar will be of no help to them now.To prove citizenship, this process of queuing up and registering for NRC applies to every religion in India. Remember the long lines at ATMs and banks during demonetisation? Well, it could well happen again to everyone, religion no bar, if NRC becomes a reality across India. However, non-Muslims will be forgiven for lack of documents and given the citizenship, no questions asked.

Our special effort is always to help you to have your own baby out of your eggs and sperms, we do not advocate donor eggs / sperms / or surrogacy.

We provide female-friendly IVF treatment that delivers better health outcomes for mothers and babies. Our pioneering approach to IVF focuses on the quality of eggs, rather than quantity.

Our vision is to promote fully proven fertility treatment which offers women the best chance of success and reduces the burden associated to infertility.

“Being childless is emotionally and physically unpleasant and it is very lonely journey of life.” According to the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction, 10-14% of married couples in India face infertility. Nearly 27.5 million couples who want to conceive suffer from infertility.

Some of the causes for infertility are lifestyle factors, increasing marital age, rising alcohol and tobacco consumption and obesity. Clinical factors are increasing prevalence of medical conditions such as women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), tubal factors, endometriosis and abnormalities of ovaries, fallopian tubes, or the uterus and men with sperm transport disorders, azoospermia, oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, hypospermia etc.

It is surprising to know that only 45% of couples visit a doctor when they are trying to conceive; only 1% of infertile couples seek treatment. And to make matters worse, 55% of women are not even aware about ovulation tracking products like fertility gadget and 75% of men don’t.

Dr. Rizwana Iqbal, Director, Embrace Fertility Centre by Primecare said, “Infertility is becoming rampant even amongst young married couples. It is mostly due to ovulation disorder in women and abnormal semen parameters in men. Even diabetes and hypertension plays a very pivotal role in both men and women. Furthermore, lifestyle induced disorders such as obesity and smoking are contributing towards high infertility rates. In addition the rising trend of marrying late, women fail to keep in mind that when they cross 35 years of age, their fertility potential gradually starts declining.

If a couple has been struggling for a child without success for more than a year, they must seek timely intervention to understand the problem and avoid further complications. It is also equally important to consult good infertility centre managed by an infertility specialist to improve the chances of conceiving sooner.

Dr. Syed Sayeed Ahmed, Chairman & CEO, Primecare Hospital said, “Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)” in India have evolved over the years. Technological advancements and expert clinicians have resulted in higher AART techniques like ICSI, IVF, IUI, invitro maturation (IVM), freezing and thawing of embryos and oocytes,  preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) and Laser assisted hatching embryo transfer in India, with absolute ethical practices and upgraded medical procedures. Our center in Bangalore offers the best-in-class treatment for both men and women. I am extremely happy to see another esteem and wonderful addition in the journey of Primecare Hospital with the launch of our first IVF centre in the city, enabling us to help couples embrace parenthood in the most memorable manner.”

Embrace IVF fertility centre, with its presence in Bangalore, plans to rapidly expand its footprints across other parts of the country with its evidence-based approach towards reproductive medicine.

3 capitals will lead to several problems: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu

December 18, 2019 by Nasheman

Responding to the allegation that the TDP leaders resorted to illegal means in purchase of lands in Amaravati, he sought to know why don’t the government take action if the claims were true.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: On a day when Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted at three capitals  for the State citing decentralisation of development, Opposition leader and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu said decentralisation was nothing but promoting industries by giving incentives and developing all parts of the State and generating employment.  Naidu, who held an emergency meeting soon after Jagan’s announcement on Tuesday, said, “There is no second capital for the country. In fact, our government had taken a decision to set up a High Court bench in Kurnool.’’

“Let us see what he (Jagan) is going to do tomorrow. Some say that they are preparing sketches and purchased lands in Visakhapatnam,’’ he said.“Such unilateral decisions and wrong steps will lead to several problems and cause damage to the State besides stalling development and decreasing revenue. I can’t understand whether their anger is against the region or Amaravati or against me. Even today the discussion in Hyderabad is that the acts of Jagan is benefiting Hyderabad and Bangalore so as to increase the value of his assets located in those cities by damaging the interests of AP,’’ Naidu alleged.  Responding to the allegation that the TDP leaders resorted to illegal means in purchase of lands in Amaravati, he sought to know why don’t the government take action if the claims were true.

“What is the use of taking away the employees from here to Visakhapatnam after cancelling the Adani Data Centre, Lulu Convention Centre and without taking forward the Airport works? The employees should be brought here for attending Assembly session, which needs expenditure. Where are we heading?

“After bifurcation, we all came from Hyderabad to Amaravati and now will have to go from Amaravati to Vizag. For announcing the decision, they have suspended us from the House. How can the CM make an announcement in the House after saying that decision will be taken only after getting the report from the expert committee. He called us buffoons and now he proved himself a big buffoon,” Naidu alleged.
