Two minor boys thrashed, fed cow dung for stealing mangoes in Telangana; 2 held

Hyderabad: Two people, suspecting that two boys had entered into an orchard to steal mangoes, allegedly beat them up and put dung into their mouths, police said on Friday.

The assailants were arrested in connection with the incident which happened in Mahabubabad district of Telangana on Thursday, the police said.

The minor boys entered the orchard while going on some work when the two persons in-charge of security of the orchard, allegedly tied the boys with a rope, beat them up and put dung into their mouths, they said.

Two other persons shot a video of this and it has gone viral, they said.

Following a complaint from the mother of one of the boys, a case was registered, the police said.

Efforts were on to nab the two others who shot the video and abetted the incident, they added.

BKU leader Rakesh Tikait's convoy attacked in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait’s convoy was allegedly attacked in Rajasthan’s Alwar on Friday. The attack on his convoy shattered the windows of Rakesh Tikait’s car. 

Tikait was not in his car when the incident was happened, Bhiwadi Superintendent of Police Ram Murti Joshi said, adding no one was injured in the incident.

It was reportedly attacked when it reached Tatarpur chauraha on its way to Tikait’s second rally venue, he said, adding the farmer leader addressed two rallies in the district on Friday.

Police have detained four persons, including a student leader in this connection, he added.

Scared of gory death of their associate Due to devine powers of Mangaluru koragajja temple two men confess to crime:

Scared of devine powers and after the gory  death of one of their associate,two muslim youth confessed to their crime and apologised in mangaluru for dropping objectionable items into the offering box.

Toufeeq and Abdul Lateef are the accused and their associate Nawaz died after having bout of blood vomits.

The accused confessed that soon after committing crime one of their associate had vomitted blood and died under mysterious circumstances. 

The duo had a guilty feeling that the death was due to devine power and the duo started feeling similar health issues.Hence decided to confess and ready to face the punishment.

The police had many such complaint’s from various temples but even after probe they could not identify the perpetrators.

After the death,the duo got shaken and started visiting temple frequently and praying.Curious priests and others who inquired about their visit then the duo confessed.The news spread like wild fire and police rushed to the spot and  taken the duo into custody.

Addressing a press meet,Mangaluru police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said,In the last three months,five cases have been registered at Ullal, Kadri, and Pandeshwar police stations over miscreants dropping objectionable items into the offering boxes of temples.In Mangaluru, people believe in Koragajja and offer prayers.

Accused Raheem and Taufiq were in touch with the priest of a Koragajja Katte located at Yemmekere ground to confess their mistake.

They were called during the ‘Nemotsava’ where they confessed about involving in the heinous act.

One more accused named Nawaz,who is the common friend of the other two accused,had come back from Dubai one and half years ago.

In the last couple of months,he suffered severe health issues and passed away. Recently,the devotees carried out a walkathon from Kadri temple to Kutthar Koragajja Katte.Later,Taufiq also faced severe health issues like Nawaz.Out of fear,they decided to confess.

Raheem and Taufiq used to accompany Nawaz to the Koragajja Katte to drop objectionable items in the offering box.

The objective behind the act is not yet known.We are probing it. As per the primary investigation, they have committed the act in three places.

The modus operandi looks similar.We need to verify the hand written content as well.Both the accused voluntarily contacted the priest to confess,he said.

On the thefts in Moodbidri,Gurupr and Bajpe,the police commissioner said,We have received an important lead in the series of thefts committed by a gang coming in two cars, where two-wheelers and cars were waylaid and houses were broken into he added.

The trio had put objectionable items and other sleazy material in the temple donation box.After the confession the mangaluru police have taken the accused into custody for further investigation on .

Country’s First Military Police Women Wing will pass out as Lance Naiks on May 8 at Bengaluru CMP:

It was a special ocassion for army as a group of 100 young women warriors who are set to be inducted into the Indian Army in May as Lance Naiks as the country’s first Military Police Women wing.

These trained cadet between the age group of 19 and 22 years selectees out of two lakh applicants across the country.

While some of them are national level athletes majority of them are graduates and post graduates.

These cadets are selected on their meritorious education and also for their NCC stint during the course of study.

Whether it’s the policing duties, driving a heavy vehicle or managing a communication post, these women are confident, assertive and fearless. In an answer to a question, a women soldier affimed that Uniform is her first spouse.

The instructors are proud of training the first batch and converting girls into soldiers. Their uptake is much better and they are quick learners, said one of the Havildar instructors.

Twenty-Seven of the women are from Uttar Pradesh,26 from Haryana,eight from Karnataka, six from Kerala,two each from Himachal Pradesh and Assam and one person each from the rest of the states like Punjab,Haryana,Rajasthan,Tamil Nadu state.

These cadets were trained to serve and take up challenging tasks of handling Policing duties, driving heavy vehicles,and managing communication posts besides trained in obstacles,armed and unarmed combats.

The team of officers imparting training headed by Brig C Dayalan at CMP Centre School has been ever-ready and proactive to deal with the adjustment issues at initial stages which was managed well.

The Training officer Lt Col Julee monitors every movement and every event of WMP very closely and she ensures that Vishakha Committee guidelines are followed in letter and spirit.

Capt Gurbani Simran Bedi has made them physically tough by imparting physical training and Maj Rich Chakravarty has taken care of the health and wellness of these women soldiers which enabled them to sustain the rigorous training.

The landmark decision of inducting women at lower ranks in the force has paved the way of Sister Service to bring the change, Col. RS Dalal, Deputy commandant and chief instructor of the training,said.

Ramesh Jarkiholi skips SIT questioning today over health grounds :

Ramesh Jarkiholi,who is hibernating since the woman in CD surfaced was likely to appear before the SIT for cross examination on Friday but skips SIT questioning citing health grounds.

The SIT which questioned Ramesh earlier and ended the the probe abruptly after he sought time to reply to the question posed by SIT.

After the woman statement before SIT and the magistrate Ramesh is facing fear of being arrested.

Ramesh had earlier denied that the CD was fake and refuse to identify the woman in CD.

Sources says Now with SIT having over 300 pages of conversation evidence between the woman and Ramesh and gifts purchased by him for her, the SIT is going to quiz him this time with evidence says SIT sources.

Meanwhile the advocate representing Jarkiholi approached SIT seeking two more days to appear before them for questioning.

He is not missing, he was busy in by election campaign and exhausted.He is taking rest in his home constituency Gokak and will appear soon. The SIT considered the request and allow him to appear After two days.

Meanwhile the questioning session with the woman continue with the fourth day as the IO’S are analyzing evidence obtained during search and seizure at her accomodation on Thursday.

State police chief,Praveen Sood at the police flag day program said that the SIT is working hard on the case and there is no pressure.

The notion of Arrest at the initial stages of SIT Investigation is wrong and this question can be asked at the end of the Investigation.The SIT is Investigating in stages and there are no instances of contempt.

There are senior and experienced officers in SIT team there is confident that the Investigation is progressing well he said to reporters.

CBI confers Best Public Prosecutor Award 2020:

CBI anti-corruption branch,Bangalore has been selected for the Best Public Prosecutor Award for 2020 and conferred Shivananda Perla,public prosecutor of CBI,on the occasion of the CBI Day.

Mr Perla,while working in Special Crime Branch, CBI,Chennai,had handled number of corruption cases and got conviction for many corrupt public servants.

He also dealt with sensitive murder cases, including the sensational case of Payal Surekha. Payal Surekha was a 24-year-old woman killed at her residence in J P Nagar, Bangalore, in 2010. The CBI Special Court convicted the accused for life imprisonment in this case.

Mr Perla also handled various corruption cases in courts of Tamilnadu,Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.He also rendered valuable legal opinion to many investigating officers in several high profile cases.

Considering his services to CBI,the Director of CBI,New Delhi,selected him for the Best Public Prosecutor Award.

India records 89,129 Covid-19 cases, biggest one-day spike since late September

714 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, the highest since October 21 when 717 fatalities were reported.

India recorded 89,129 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the highest single-day spike since September 2020, taking the total tally to 1,23,92,260 on Saturday.

Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Haryana are states of “grave concern”.

Daily cases in the country peaked on September 16, 2020, with 97,894 people testing positive for the virus in a single day.

The active cases have now increased to 6,58,909 comprising 5.32 per cent of the total infections, while the recovery rate has further dropped to 93.36 per cent.

Meanwhile, the death toll increased to 1,64,110 on Saturday with 714 new fatalities.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 1,15,69,241, while the case fatality rate stood at 1.32 per cent, the data stated.

A total of 24,69,59,192 samples tested for Covid-19 as of Friday.

Of these, 10,46,605 samples were tested on Friday, said the Indian Council of Medical Research.

The Centre has advised high-burden states and union territories to take stringent measures for containment of the surge.

So far, 7.30 crore doses of the corona vaccine have been administered in the country since the drive began on January 16 after approval for ‘Covishield’ and ‘Covaxin’.

NIA files charge-sheet against 2 ISIS sympathisers

NIA officials on Thursday filed Charge-sheet against Ahamed Abdul Cader and Irfan Nasir charged under sympathizers of ISIS terrorist organisation.

The duo was arrested october last year after the arrest of Dr.Abdul rahman,city based optholmologist in august last year.Cadar is a business analyst in a bank in chennai while Nasir is a rice merchant in Bengaluru

The duo was charged under sections 120B,125 of IPC and sections,17,18 and 18B of Unlawful Activities,(Prevention)Act at NIA Special Court Bengaluru.

According to the official release,both the accused persons were part of a terrorist group which identified impressionable Muslim youth and further motivated,radicalised them and also provided funds for their visit to Syria to further the ideology and activities of banned terrorist organization ISIS.

The NIA registered the case after arresting city based opthalmologistas Dr.Abdul Rahman who was motivated and sent to Syria to join ISIS in  the year 2013-14 by the terrorist group formed by accused .

The NIAs Painstaking investigative efforts resulted into the busting of an ISIS module wherein,the names of various persons responsible for radicalising and funding the visits of Muslim youth from Bengaluru/Karnataka to ISIS area emerged.

It was also revealed that Ahamed Abdul Cader, Irfan Nasir and some of their associates who are members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir (international pan-Islamist and fundamentalist organization), had formed a group namely “Quran Circle” to further their ISIS related activities.

Based on the forensic examination of digital devices seized during the search and meticulous analysis of funds raised and provided by the members of Quran Circle,roles of various accused and suspects located abroad and in India,has emerged which is under investigation in the case.Further Investigation in the case continues a official release by NIA said.

Offline classes suspended for students of classes VI to IX in Bengaluru – S Suresh Kumar :

With the rise in COVID-19 cases,the government has decided to suspend on-campus lessons for students of classes VI to IX across schools in Bengaluru Urban from Friday onwards.

Classes for grades 6-9 in Bengaluru urban district will be suspended with immediate effect following the rising number of Covid cases in the city. 

The decision was announced by the department late on Thursday night.Classes for grade 10 and I and II PU will continue in the city.

Currently,Vidyagama the continuous outreach programme,is underway for classes 6 and 7 in Bengaluru and regular classes for grade 8 upwards.

Classes till grade 9 will be suspended.However, offline classes for grades 6 upwards in other districts will continue.

The minister for primary and secondary education,S Suresh Kumar said that the decision was taken after a discussion with the chief minister taking into account the age and health of students.Attendance is not mandatory for class 10 students Suresh Kumar said in his statement.

Meanwhile,many private schools have already completed exams/tests for students of class I to IX and declared holidays and some schools have issued circular to parents and were about to start the New Academic year 2021-2022 by 5th April burdening parents to pay fees.But this order by Education department will be useful and helpful for students and parents and it is big slap to those private schools who were about to commence the new academic without government concerned.

Senior education department officials said,still parents are in problems due to the pandemic situation and still the cases are rising and many schools have voluntarily closed after their is spike in cases but some schools are violating the rules and regulations of department we will initiate strict action against the schools and management for violating the law he added.
