Videos from Assam violence show district administration’s photographer assaulting body

September 24, 2021 by Nasheman

Guwahati: In horrifying visuals that went viral on social media platforms two people allegedly died while nine policemen sustained injuries in violence that erupted during an eviction drive in Sipajhar circle in Assam’s Darrang district.

The police, according to reports maintained that there were no casualties during the incident.

The “anti-encroachment” drive was led by a team from the district administration accompanied by several policemen in riot gear and carrying weapons.

One video purportedly of the violence, showed a man running behind a photographer with his camera to attack him. However, chilling scenes emerge after the police beat the man with batons while the photographer jumps on his body as he lay on the ground after the charge of the police.

While sections of Twitter initially speculated that the man with a camera was a journalist, he has been identified as a photographer with the Darrang district administration who accompanied the eviction team.

In another video, police were seen open firing on an unarmed man protesting against the drive.

Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke to journalists in Guwahati following the violence. He said, “Police are doing their duty. As per my information, people attacked the police with machetes, spears, and other things. Eviction has restarted [after violence] and will continue tomorrow as well.”

A similar “anti-encroachment” drive had taken place on Monday in Dholpur’s Garukhuti, where nearly 800 families were evicted to clear government land for an agricultural project. Those being evicted are predominantly Bengali-speaking Muslims, Hindustan Times reported.

ARTICLE ON HOTEL

September 24, 2021 by Nasheman

claudia thomas

The word hotel was derived from the French language. The company hope and it’s first hotel the Taj Mahal palace in Bombay( now Mumbai) so this was the first hotel which was established in India in the year 1903.The history of Indian hotels goes back to the colonial era and started with the European aggression.

In the 17th century during the British rule western styled hotels started coming up in important cities like Calcutta Kolkata and Bombay Mumbai in the hotels of Noweredays  that too mainly in the covid 19 pandemic. There is no sanitizer facilities is done in some. The social distance sing is also not maintained properly in some of the hotels and then there is no thermal scanning is also not done in some hotels so this may effect to the people health through where they can be affected by the covid 19.So some safety measures should be taken by the owner of the hotel so if some strict to rules and regulations should be Done by the government should also look after the safety of the people health a incident that took place in  Tamil Nadu .That some of the hotels have been sealed by the government because of the spoiled Meat that they used for .Preparing some dishes like biryani kebab chilli chicken etc so the chef we’re .

Also got caught and the main thing is that because of using the spoiled meat many of the people have got vomiting lose motion and so on not only in one of the hotel it has taken place in other hotels too a girl child is also got expired because of having biryani in the hotel. many of them are being admitted in the hospital in the emergency word not only in private hospital ,government hospitals too and they are suffering.

• Conclusion :

So there should be some of the safety measures to be taken. The chief should stop preparing dishes out of the spoiled meat the hospital owners or managers have to take a decision and they have to take the chief from their job if they are not listening to them the people safety should be given more importance they have to provide people with good dishes and even the service should be good. I hope there will be a change

Akshatha.T

Sexual harassment of women at work place ( prevention , prohibition) act 2013 was passed with the objective of providing protection to the women at workplace . Sexual harassment is when one person subjects another person to an unwelcome act like grabbing , touching , pinching etc. The act covers students in schools and colleges as well as patients in hospitals right from the time of her birth or even before a girl could become victim of a crime or target of a crime .

Foeticide and infanticide

Where there is an economic or cultural preference for sons, the pregnancy diagnostic tools can lead to foeticide.

School going age

Many girls are not given the access opportunity and completion of proper primary and secondary education as compared to boys and otherwise may also suffer from discrimination at the hands of parents and teachers in their up bringing.

Marriage

Many more are tortured physically , economically and emotionally after their marriage by their husband and inlaws.

Motherhood

Women are sometimes not provided medical care and healthy food during and after her pregnancy . She is often compelled Harry to abort a female foetus.

Workplace

Often women suffer from exploitation unequal pay for equal work , lack of promotions disputite , physical , economic and emotional abuse.

Sexual harassment comes in many forms and not just a single one . It includes when someone tries to touch, grab or make other physical consents with you without your consent. Further , it also include passing comments which have a sexual meaning . No one in this world deserve to go through sexual harassment whether man or woman . We all have the right to live freely without being harassed.

We found that workers across industries experience many forms of harassment some experience sexual harassment that would rise to the legal standard of either quid pro quo harassment ,or harassment that is so server and pervasive that is constitutes a hostile work environment that negatively impacts ones work . Many also commonly experience gender harassment which is generally not about sexual attraction or sexuality at all and may not rise to the standard required to file a legal complaint nevertheless , gender harassment can powerfully shape individual experience , workplace cultures and block women’s and other targets access to opportunity and advancement , perpetuating traditionally masculine power structures gender harassing physical , verbal , and symbolic behaviours insult and degrade a target’s gender in an effort to assert power control behaviour or force those who don’t conform out of a particular job or out of the profession entirely.

There are many factors of harassment which varies from situation to situation . The most significant factor is our culture values and the relative power and status of the men and women in our society . The way women and men are brought up in our society influences their behaviour . women usually lack the confidence because since childhood their behaviour is customised to suffer silence and make compromise on the other hand men are brought up exactly Opposite to women. Such view creates an atmosphere that allows men the freedom of sexual harassment in the work place .in recent years social and political changes have brought the power game. Advancement of women in career their independence at work threatened the men .so in the tough times men try to insist on sexual favours in exchanging for benefits he can give out due to his position .

Harassment is a world wide growing problem in every sector whether it’s government sector private sector , school or institute harassment hinders with people’s educational path and career and productivity . the effecients of harassment can be physical emotional and physiological . Harassment at work place is depending it’s roots which cause adverse effects to the growth of economy which leads to lower moral and low productivity increase in absenteeism and employee turnover that cost a lot to any organisation
