Notorious Rowdy-Sheeter Kiran@Chaddi Kiran nabbed after shootout by Nandini layout police:

The North Division police of Nandini layout police opened fire at a notorious rowdy who was wanted in criminal cases in a bid he attacked police constable with a knife to escape later was  arrested in the wee hours of Sunday.

The accused has been identified as kiran alias Chaddi Kiran,25,and his associate Dasa,

Dharmendra Kumar Meena,DCP,North division, said,the Nandini layout police were on massive hunt for the notorious rowdy who has just released from jail last month

.

After coming out from jail the criminal again continued his criminal activities kiran a Rowdy sheeter in Rajagopalnagar police station limits attacked his rival and his family after barging into the house on march 2.

The Nandini layout team who were on massive manhunt received a credible information from their reliable inputs that the wanted criminal is passing from Laggere bridge.

As soon as the information was passed,A team of police led by PSI,Naveed rushed to the spot and found kiran and his associate Dasa on a scooter.

PSI Naveed and staff waited there and when they attempt to arrest him,Chaddi kiran tried to escape by overspeeding.When our police staff attempted to arrest him physically, Rowdy Sheeter Chaddi Kiran and his associate Dasa attacked constable Basavanna with knife.

To save his staff and effect arrest of accused and his associate,PSI Naveed fired in air. still Accused didn’t surrender then PSI Naveed shoot Chaddi Kiran on Right leg.He is shifted to Bowring Hospital.He is stable and under observation.Police Staff Basavanna is also stable.

Meena,said Kiran had ten criminal cases pending against him.He was arrested by Nandagiridhama police for posessing arms illegally and remanded to judicial custody.

He came out on bail on February 3 this year and attacked his rival and family by barging into the house on march 2 to settle old score.A case has been registered against him and further investigation is on.

Home alone woman murder case solved, Domestic helper arrested by Ashoknagar police:

The Ashoknagar police on Monday arrested a domestic help for killing a home alone elderly woman to rob her gold to repay huge loans she had incurred.

The accused has been identified as,Shabana Banu,(29),a domestic helper by profession and a resident of Anepalya 3rd Cross.

She is also relative of the victim Dilshad Banu, (62).The murder was reported in Anepalya on March 4.

Senior officer told media persons,a Murder was reported in Ashoknagar police station limits in Anepalya 3rd cross a complaint was filed by son of deceased stating some unknown person has barged into the house when no one was there and killed my mother and robbed her jewellery item which was on her body and Rs.20,000 cash was stolen.

As soon as the murder case reported,Senior officer as, DCP Central MN Anucheth,ACP,Yathiraj, Ashoknagar Inspector and his crime staff with finger prints expert and forensic experts with sniffer dog were pressed into action.

After inspecting the spot and crime scene DCP Central,led a special team to nab the culprit and the team swung into action and started investigation.

During the investigation police found CCTV footage and found suspicious moments of Shabana who was roaming around the house for a while before entering.Her son had identified that it was Shabana who was his family relative.

Based on his statement the team detained Shabana for the interrogation and when she was grilled she confessed the crime and based on which the accused was arrested.

A detailed investigation by the team she revealed that she had a financial crisis after investing in chit fund business and badly wanted money to lead a life.

Shabana had come to meet Dilshad to seek financial help.After noticing that she was alone Shabana choked Dilshad to death before pressing her neck against the ground.Thus she had decided to kill Dilshad and also asked some money.As Dilshad refused to give the money she came to meet her and killed to rob the jewels.

She took jewels and other belongings to escape.The incident came to light when the family members returned home and found her dead.

A case has been registered in Ashoknagar police station and the police have taken the accused Shabana into custody and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated,Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP Central,MN Anucheth,ACP, Cubbon park Sub-Division,Yathiraju BR,PI,Bharath,and other staff who has detected the murder case of elderly woman and arrested the accused within 48 hours and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.

Karnataka ACB raids 9 officials in Disproportionate assets cases;Gold,Cash seized:

Teams of the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday raided residences and offices of nine officers in connection with disproportionate assets cases at 28 places in 11 districts of Karnataka.

A team of 52 officers and 172 staff of Anti- Corruption Bureau today conducted raids and search related to disproportionate assets against nine officers at 28 places in 11 districts, an official of Karnataka unit of ACB told media persons.

In a massive operation,Anti Corruption Bureau officials,probing a Disproportionate Assets case,conducted raids at the residences and offices of nine government officials across Karnataka including Bengaluru, Belagavi,Chikkaballapura,Mysuru and Yadgir.

The accused government officials are Krishnegowda,Project Director,Nirmiti Kendra, Chikkaballapura,Hanumantha Shivappa Chikkannanavara,Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector,Belagavi circle,Subramanya K Vaddar, Joint Director,Town&Country Planning,Mysuru, Munigopal Raju,Superintendent engineer, CHESCOM,Mysuru,Channaveerappa,First Division Assistant,RTO office,Mysuru South, Lakshmipurum,Raju Pattar,Account officer, GESCOM,Yadgir,Victor Simon,Police Inspector, Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force,(BMTF),K Subramanyam,Junior Engineer,Assistant Director, Town Planning Office,BBMP,Yelahanka Zone, Bengaluru City and K M Pratham,Deputy Director, Factories and Boilers, Davangere Division.

Among them,Victor Simon has served as a police inspector in various police stations in Bengaluru, most notably at the HSR Layout police station and the Bellandur police station and the ACB has received many complaint against Victor Simon while he was serving as Bellandur police inspector a case was registered in ACB against him under prevention of corruption Act.

Other officials whose houses and offices are being raided are Munigopal Raju,Superintendent engineer,Chescom,Mysuru;Channaveerappa,A first division assistant at an RTO office in Mysuru; Raju Pattar, accounts officer, GESCOM,Yadgir; and K M Pratham,Deputy director,factories and boilers,Davangere Division.

In Bengaluru, teams are searching the residences and office of Victor Simon,police inspector, BMTF,  and K Subramanyam,Junior engineer BBMP.

ACB officials have recovered movable and immovable properties as well as gold and silver jewellery.

Senior ACB official said,Simultaneous raids were carried out by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)on 28 places belonging to nine officers across 11 districts of Karnataka.

After several hours of searches and recovery process,the ACB officials on Tuesday evening unearthed huge disproportionate assets from the residences and the offices of the officials who were being raided, according to an official release.    

1.Raju Pattar Accounts officer,GESCOM,Yadgir, had a residential house,two bikes and a car,676 gram of gold valuables,1.3 kgs of silver articles, cash Rs.1.7 lakh,documents pertaining to a nine sites in and around Yadgir town,3.2 acres of agricultural land,deposits worth Rs 31.7 lakh in various bank accounts and Rs 5 lakh worth household items.

2.Krishnegowda,Project Director,Nirmiti Kendra, Chikkaballapura,has two residential house in Chintamani and Kolar,19 residential sites in Bengaluru,Kolar,Chikkaballapura and Chintamani, 24 acres of agricultural land in Shidlaghatta and a poultry farm.

3.Hanumantha Shivappa Chikkannavar,Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector,Belagavi,has a residential house in Belagavi,two apartments, a pent house and four commercial shops having furniture worth Rs 71,75,000.816 grams of gold jewels,6.3 kgs of silver articles,and Rs.1.8 lakh cash at his house.

4.Subramanya K Vaddar,Joint Director,Town and country planning,Mysuru, has residential house in Puttur in Udupi district,206 grams of gold valuables,2.4 kgs of silver articles,Rs.1.3 lakh cash,a car and a bike and Rs 15 lakh worth household articles.

5.Munigopal Raju,Superintendent Engineer, CHESCOM,Mysuru,has a residential house in Mysuru,a flat,six residential sites in and around Mysuru,an apartment in Bengaluru,6.3 acres of agricultural land,three cars and a bike,Rs.2.15 lakh cash,717 grams of gold valuables,16 kgs of silver articles,over 50 files related to office stuffed with cash,Rs.2.4 lakh inside the files,Rs 20 lakh worth household articles.

6.Chanaveerappa,FDA in RTO office,Mysuru,a house in Mandya,another house in Mandya in the name of his wife,two sites at Mandya,34 guntas of agricultural land in Mandya,a car and four bikes,275 grams of gold valuables,1 kg of silver articles,Rs.5 lakh worth insurance policies,Rs. 92,000 cash,13.5 lakh worth household articles.

7.Victor Simon,Police Inspector,BMTF,has one flat at National Games Village,a house in Mysuru,two sites in Mysuru,10 acres of agricultural land in Mysuru,Rs 1 crore worth bonds,500 grams of gold valuables kept in bank locker,22 liters of Rs. 7.26 lakh worth Foreign liquor bottles,a car and Rs 21.6 lakh worth household articles.The family had made many foreign trips which is being probed.

8.K Subramanyam,Junior engineer,Assistant Director Town Planning Office,BBMP,Yelahanka Zone,has a house in Sahakaranagar,a PG accommodation in Whitefield with 33 rooms,four sites in Bengaluru,three cars and a bike,531 grams of gold valuables,8 kgs of silver articles, Rs 1 Crore worth deposits in various banks,Rs 31.9 lakh worth household articles.

9.KM Pratham,Deputy Director,Boilers and Factories Division,Davangere Division,has two houses in Sanjaynagar,Rs 52,000 cash,400 gold valuables,69 grams of silver articles,two cars and two bikes,Rs.25 lakh worth household articles.

The seized movable and immovable properties are subjected to further verification to ascertain their known source.The probe on the bank and other documents is on.

Finally ADGP,Anti Corruption Bureau,ACB, Seemanth Kumar Singh, appreciated SP, Kuldeep Kumar Jain,and other SPs,and staff who has carried a raid the team has done a ground work for almost 1 month to collect details about these officers and today a simultaneous raid was carried out and disproportionate assets as movable and immovable properties has been seized and investigation is under way he added.

 Scores of women police personnel and pourakarmikas were felicitated by Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Marathalli on the occasion of International Women’s day.  


A panel discussion was organised on the topic-“challenges for women leadership during Covid times”. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Kavita, MC (Assistant Commissioner of Police) said, “Women face obstacles and challenges at every step. Self confidence is the most important tool to overcome challenges positively and lead society.” Media Connect CEO Dr Divya Rangenahalli said, “Hailing from rural background, Covid posed unique challenges as one had to work when the cities were locked down. We overcame these challenges as we had to risk life by working and this was possible with help from the family members.

Notorious Habitual bike lifter arrested 5 bikes worth Rs.3 lakhs recovered:

Alert Jalahalli police on Monday arrested a 29 year old habitual offender involved in bike theft cases.The police have recovered Five bikes worths 3 lakh from him.

The accused has been identified as,Harish H,29, resident of Yeshwanthpur.

Senior officer told media persons,that as on 6th March the Jalahalli police station cops were conducting random vehicle checking near MES circle.

During a random vehicle check drive carried by Jalahalli police they flagged one TVS bike the cops asked the rider to produce documents while checking the police found that he did not have documents and brought him to the station for inquiry.

During questioning the rider was identified as Harish and a detailed questioning by the team led to confess the crime.

During investigation after collecting his finger prints to check his antecedents it was found Harish is habitual offender involved in several criminal cases and he was arrested by yeshwanthpura police in 2019 in a robbery case.

After coming out on bail,the accused have stolen bikes and based on his statement the team Recovered 5 bikes worth of Rs.3 lakhs from him.

Further investigation was carried out by the Jalahalli police inspector and his team they grilled the accused who spilled the beans that he had had also picked the pocket of a truck driver near Hebbal on january 30 and made away with Rs 16,000 by diverting his attention.

Harish intercepted the truck in the middle of the road and argued with the driver accusing him of not putting indicator in the melee he even pick pocket his wallet.

Later the driver identified as,Jayadev Sarkar realized that his wallet was missing in the melee.

Sarkar later filed a complaint with the police accusing that the biker who created ruckus had stolen the wallet.

With the arrest of Harish,a total of six cases have been solved so far reported in various police station and further investigation is on.

Online Cricket betting racket busted by Nandini layout police, Six held,including Upparpet police constable suspended :

The North Division police of Nandini layout police has busted cricket betting racket on February 1st and arrested six persons red handed while accepting illegal bets from punters and seized Rs.11,300 and six mobile phone from them.

A 29 year old Police Constable attached to Upparpet police station was suspended after his involvement in betting racket in which he was caught red handed in online cricket betting case on February 1.

The accused Shivakumar was betting along with five other punters identified as,Hariharan,Suresh M,Lokesh,Kalandhar, and Manikanta were caught red handed while accepting Bets from mobile based app.

Senior officer told media persons that,Nandini layout police personnel,Basavana received a credible information that 5-6 persons are indulged in playing cricket betting by receiving bets from punters through online mobile based app.

Based on information the Nandini layout police inspector Venkategowda and his team swung into action and rushed to the spot near Nandini Layout bus stop based on tip off  they raided the place and arrested six accused red handed while accepting Bets from punters through online based apps.

During investigation it was found that the accused were accepting Bets from punters.

A detailed investigation was carried out by Inspector and his team when they realized one of the accused was a constable attached to upparpet police station identified as Shivakumar.

During raid the police seized Rs 11300 and six mobile phones which they used to place bet through betting app.

A detailed inquiry was carried out in the case under the supervision of DCP North,Dharmendra Kumar Meena Inspector Venkategowda submitted a detailed report about the constable who was involved in the racket was turned as Punter.

Based on the report by DCP North division, Sanjeev M Patil, DCP, West Division,suspended Shivakumar police constable attached to upparpet police station for his involvement in betting case registered against him in Nandini layout police station,U/s 78 a) (6),and And 80 KP act and further investigation is on he added.

Private bus plough into state police chief residence,three passengers injured:

A private bus plough into state police chief Praveen Sood’s official residence on Tuesday morning at Nrupathunga road a very busy junction.

At least three passengers sustained minor injuries and many others escaped narrowly when a private bus lost control and plough into the residence of state police chief on Nrupatunga road opposite to police head quarters on Tuesday.

Part of the compound was collapsed due to the impact.

The bus was heading to City market from Hindupur when the incident occurred.

Traffic was disrupted for sometime on the busy road until Halasurugate traffic police rushed to spot and pull out the bus using crane.

The injured were treated at a near by private hospital as out patient.

The driver was detained for questioning and a case has been registered against the driver and  further investigation is on.

Cricket betting racket busted five held Rs.1 lakh seized by CCB

Special inquiry wing of CCB on Thursday raided a house in Anepalya and arrested a gang of five persons who were running cricket betting racket.

The accused has been identified as,Mir Ghulam Hyder,Arun Raj,Akbar Ali,Laiq Ali and Roshan.

Senior officer told media persons,Based on a tip off,a team of police led by Ravi Patil,and team raided a house in Anepalya and arrested five persons.

The police have seized Rs.1 lakh and mobile phones from them.

According to the police the prime accused Mir Ghulam Hyder was prime accused in the racket was monitoring the ongoing pakistan premier league cricket matches and receiving bets from punters .

All the five have been booked and a case against the accused is registered in Ashoknagar police station and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-1, KP Ravikumar,and his team as Ravi Patil and other staff has been appreciated for the commendable job done by them in busting cricket betting racket he added.

Sandalwood Drugs link: East division police raid premises of producer Shankar gowda in Bengaluru

The East Division police of Govindapura police station on Monday raided the office of kannada film producer Shankar Gowda and searched the premises in connection with the international drug racket case which they have busted on February 26.

The raid was conducted based on the information provided by one of the accused arrested earlier in the case.

Senior officer told media persons,As part of the ongoing investigation into drug racket busted recently,by the Banaswadi Sub-Division police of Govindapura police station,ACP,Sakkri,PI,Prakash and team searched the house and office of kannada film producer Shankar Gowda situated in Dollars colony on Monday night.

The search was carried out based on the information provided by one of the accused about Shankar Gowda having links with drug peddlers.

A team of police conducted search and recovered the mobile phone laptop,and other electronic gadgets for further investigation.

The police have also summoned Prakash Gowda to appear before them for questioning.

On February 26,The police had arrested three foreign nationals involved in drug peddling and recovered huge amount of synthetic drugs from them worth Rs 3.5 Crore.

They had revealed the name of Big Boss contestant Mastan Chandra.Recently the police had searched his house and taken him into custody for investigation.

Based on his statement as during investigation the cops grilled the big boss contestant and he spilled the beans that Shankar Gowda used to procure drugs from him based on which we have carried raid said another officer.

This is the second drug case linked to film industry as CCB on last September busted drug racket involving film actors,producers and RTO officer and event organisers he added.
