6 Year Old Rupsa Batabyal Wins The Show “Super Dancer Chapter 3” & Takes Home The Prize Money Of Rs 15 Lakh

It was finally curtains down “Super Dancer Chapter 3” on 23rd Jun, 2019 on Sony TV. And the winner was 6 year old Rupsa Batabyal from Kolkata. She beat the other 4 finalists namely Saksham Sharma from Jallandar Punjab, Tejas Verma from Bhivandi Mumbai, Jaishree Gogoi & Gourav Sarwan. Rupsa Batabyal, 6, from Kolkata has won the Sony Entertainment Television’s dance reality show named “Super Dancer Chapter 3”. The little dancing queen was also awarded the cash prize of Rs 15 lakh while her guru Nishant Bhat got Rs 5 lakh for his extraordinary effort. Known as the Expression Queen & Dance Ki Gudia, Rupsa Batbayal was one of the favourite contestants of the 3 judges & even wowed everyone with her varied dance styles. Rupsa Batbyal beat the other four finalists Saksham Sharma (7), Tejas Verma (9), Jaishree Gogoi (8) & Gourav Sarwan (12). Judges Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Geeta Kapur & Anurag Basu were in awe of the little wonder who also made guest judges like Alia Bhatt & Sonakshi Sinha thoroughly impressed with her superb dance moves. In fact Rupsa Batabyal is quite popular even on social media & has 54000 followers on Instagram. Interestingly, according to her mother, she was quite reserved by nature before appearing on Super Dancer Chapter 2, but has turned into a confident & expressive performer. On the other hand the most talented Tejas was declared the 1st runner up. The grand finale was an evening to remember with contestants as well as their gurus performing on stage for 1 last time. Judges Anurag Basu, Shilpa Shetty & Geeta Kapur along with hosts Rithvik Dhanjani & TRP Mama (Paritosh Tripathi) reminisced the wonderful journey & also highlighted some great moments they experienced through the show. Each finalist was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation along with the cheque of 1 lakh each. Additionally, the Top 5 finalists were awarded a cheque of 1 lakh each from Lotus Herbals too. Rupsa batabyal who won the show is looking forward to celebrate her victory with her entire family in Kolkata. She plans to continue with her career of dancing. “It feels really nice & I am very happy to have won the trophy of Super Dancer Chapter 3. I will continue dancing because I love it. I look forward to going home, to Kolkata & celebrating with my entire family,” she said after her win. Rupsa Batabyal’s guru Nishant Bhat is all praises for Rupsa Batabyal & calls her a gifted child & extremely hardworking. “I still remember, when I was paired with Rupsa, I was perplexed. She is only 6 years old. So it proved to be a learning ground for me from becoming friends with her to identifying her strengths as a dancer, to working according to her moods, to building that chemistry together & many other things. It took time, but I am glad we could establish a bond. She doesn’t speak much, but her dancing does all the talking. She is a gifted child & extremely hardworking. I wish her the best in all that the future holds for her!” Extremely happy with Rupsa Batabyal’s win, all the judges wish the little one all the best for her career ahead. “She deserves this victory. The way she performed week after week was really incredible. I am blessed that as judges, we could become a catalyst in her journey,” said Shilpa Shetty. “I am the happiest right now as her journey & her hardwork has paid off. I just want her to be happy & continue what she is doing right now as she is too small to be pushed at something specific. She needs to enjoy what she is doing,” said Geeta Kapur. Rupsa Batabyal is a versatile dancer who has tried all different types of dance forms on this platform. Honestly, her journey has just begun.” said Anurag Basu. The grand finale of the show also saw performances by gurus as well as judge Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Shilpa Shetty Kundra was not only seen performing to 4 different songs with 4 different costumes, she also treated her fans with a stupendous Bharatnatyam act. To add the comedy tadka to the show, Krushna Abhishek was seen in the avatar of Sapna & left everyone in splits with his entertaining performance along with Paritosh Tripathi aka Mama ji.
