Salman Khan has been convicted in the verdict in 19 and a half-year-old Blackbuck poaching case, while the rest of the denounced have been acquitted. The decision was reported by the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (Jodhpur provincial) on April 5.
Actor Salman Khan and other star cast were presented before Jodhpur court around 10:30 AM. Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri conveyed the judgment. Court premises had been augmented with overwhelming security layer in wake of threats given by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to hurt Khan.
DCP Amandeep said “We have sent around 200 security work force who will protect the star cast particularly Salman Khan. Out of four doors, just two entryways will be open for section and exit”
A day prior to the judgement, Bollywood star Salman Khan reached Jodhpur at around in a charter flight alongside his sisters Alvira Khan and Arpita Khan. Salman’s guardian Shera was additionally accompanying him. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre reached Jodhpur from Mumbai.
The case goes back to October 1996 when Khan, Saif, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali allegedly went on a hunting campaign in Kankani and killed two blackbucks around midnight on October 1-2, 1998. The actors were in Rajasthan for the shoot of Hindi film Hum Saath Saath Hain. Blackbucks are endangered species and hunting them is banned under the Wildlife Protection Act.
