“Khandaani Shafakhana Is An Interesting Film Based On A Taboo Topic Of Sex”

Banner: Sundial Productions & T – Series

Producers: Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Divya Khosla Kumar & Krishan Kumar

Director: Shilpi Dasgupta

Star Cast: Badshah, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma, Anu Kapoor, Priyanshu Jora, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajesh Sharma, Nadira Babbar, Rajiv Gupta, Diana Penty, Suniel Shetty & above all Raveena Tandon

Music: Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Payal Dev, Abhishek Nailwal & Badshah

It has happened for the 1st ever time in the history of Bollywood that the trailer of Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma & Badshah’s recently released movie Khandani Shafakhana was released just a day before the film’s release & created a buzz within no time. Those who had seen the trailer already know that the movie is based on the subject of sex & all the abnormalities attached to it.

Incidentally speaking movies like Vicky Donor & Shubh Mangal Savdhan also dealt with the very same subject. So Khandani Shafakhana has given more poised treatment to it & not to forget that the protagonist in this film is a female, namely Sonakshi Sinha.

The one liner of the film reveals that Khandaani Shafakhana is a film about a Punjabi girl named Babita Bedi alias Baby, enacted with a lot of spunk by none other than Sonakshi Sinha, who has to run a fertility clinic. She will have to face many obstacles of this society that is conservative towards women.

So with Khandaani Shafakhana Sonakshi Sinha has pledged to fill you in with some Sex education in a super subtle way. And she indeed proves to be a winner all the way. It is a bold step taken by Sonakshi Sinha, which no other Bollywood actress has done so far, but certainly not the 1st ever risky character enacted with élan by her. This is also one of her bold roles enacted by her. Earlier on Sonakshi Sinha had done a film titled Akira, where she stood strong as a solo lead with a very different theme. Then with Ittefaq, she showed the dark side of her acting. And at the same time, in movies like the “Dabangg” franchise, she allowed her beauty to settle in the most subtle way.

Apart from the fact that this is her 1st ever female centric film dealing with the subject of sex, what interests us more is the unexpected combination of the main leads. While Sonakshi Sinha enacts a docile albeit a middle class Bedi girl who’s trying to manage her uncle’s old pharmacy house. On the other hand Varun Sharma tickles the funny bones with his own brand of humor as an innocent “virgin” boy. Moreover, Badshah making his 1st ever Bollywood debut with the movie simply adds another feather in his hat.

Tail Piece: On the whole a film like Khandaani Shafakhana will certainly be appreciated more by the single theater audience than the so called intelligentsia audience belonging to the multiplex class.

At the box office turnstiles the film will slowly generate a good business at the cash counters. Period!!

Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan applies for anticipatory bail

August 5, 2019 by Nasheman

Sources said Azam Khan’s arrest for custodial interrogation is imminent, especially after the ED also lodged a case against him.

Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan has moved the Allahabad High Court for anticipatory bail after 64 cases were filed against him by the Uttar Pradesh Police over the last three months, sources said on Monday.

The application is expected to come up for hearing in a day or two.

District Magistrate of Rampur Aunjaneya Kumar Singh told reporters that all the 64 cases were serious and 28 of them were filed in just one month.

He said: “Many more people are expected to come forward and complain against the MP now”.

“Twenty seven farmers have lodged cases saying their land was forcibly grabbed by Azam Khan. There are 13 cases of election rules violations, threats to officials and communal speeches by him during elections. Chargesheets have been filed by the police in all these 13 cases,” the DM said.

Sources said Azam Khan’s arrest for custodial interrogation is imminent, especially after the Enforcement Directorate also lodged a case against him. He has also been enlisted as an organised land grabber by the state government on July 12.

Sources said the arrest is likely to happen after the Parliament session gets over.

Meanwhile, Azam Khan said: “I am paying the price for winning the Rampur seat and defeating the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). A political vendetta has been launched against me by the Yogi government.”

The Samajwadi Party has threatened a state-wide agitation if the UP government moves to arrest Azam Khan, who has accused the district officials of Rampur of implementing the BJP agenda against him.

India vs West Indies LIVE score: India win by 22 runs under D-L method, claim series

August 5, 2019 by Nasheman

India are playing an unchanged side while West Indies have brought in left-arm spinner Khary Pierre in place of John Campbell.

LAUDERHILL: Krunal Pandya’s all-round exploits and Rohit Sharma’s characteristically sublime half-century powered India to a series-clinching 22-run win over West Indies in the rain-affected second T20 International here on Sunday.

Batting first, India scored a challenging 167 for five and then had West Indies in all sorts of trouble at 98 for four in the 16th over when lightening and thundershowers struck.

The Duckworth-Lewis par score at that point was 120, and West Indies were 22 runs behind.

Rohit Sharma top-scored with 67 off 51 balls, setting India up for a challenging total, before Krunal (20 off 13 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja propped up the innings by smashing 20 runs in the final over, which was bowled by Keemo Paul.

Article 370 scrapped, J&K bifurcated into Union Territories

August 5, 2019 by Nasheman

Jammu and Kashmir sans Ladakh will now be a Union Territory with a legislature. Ladakh will also be a UT without a legislature.

Union home minister Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha on Monday.

NEW DELHI: Article 370, which extends special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has been scrapped, home minister Amit Shah announced in parliament.

Jammu and Kashmir will also be “reorganised,” Shah told the Rajya Sabha. Shah said the UT in Ladakh will have no legislature like Chandigarh while the other UT of Jammu and Kashmir will have a legislature like Delhi and Puducherry.

“The Article-370, notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of this article, the President may, by public notification, declare that this article shall cease to be operative or shall be operative only with such exceptions and modifications and from such date as he may specify: Provided that the recommendation of the Constituent Assembly of the State referred to in clause (2) shall be necessary before the President issues such a notification,” read out Shah in the ruckus in the Upper House of Parliament.

Ghulam Nabi Azad countering Shah’s Rajya Sabha address said, “Entire valley is under curfew, political leaders including three former chief ministers are under house arrest. There is a war-like situation in the state, so this should be discussed on priority”

The groundbreaking announcement came soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a cabinet meeting at his residence this morning.

Darkest day in Indian democracy: Mehbooba

Among the first to slam the historic decision was former J-K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti. The PDP leader who is reportedly under house arrest said, “Today marks the darkest day in Indian democracy. Decision of J&K leadership to reject 2 nation theory in 1947 & align with India has backfired. Unilateral decision of GOI to scrap Article 370 is illegal & unconstitutional which will make India an occupational force in J&K.”

Today marks the darkest day in Indian democracy. Decision of J&K leadership to reject 2 nation theory in 1947 & align with India has backfired. Unilateral decision of GOI to scrap Article 370 is illegal & unconstitutional which will make India an occupational force in J&K.

It will have catastrophic consequences for the subcontinent. GOIs intentions are clear. They want the territory of J&K by terrorising it’s people. India has failed Kashmir in keeping its promises

What are Article 370 and 35A?

Cabinet meetings generally take place on Wednesdays, though there are instances when it has been called on other days to consider important issues.

Shah is reportedly have briefed the Cabinet about the J&K situation and measures taken to address challenges posed by alleged Pakistan sponsored terrorism.

After addressing the Rajya Sabha, Shah is expected to address Lok Sabha at 12 PM.

Before the Cabinet meet, the PM reportedly chaired a meeting of the Cabinet committee on security.

According to media reports, Amit Shah also had a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister.

Union Minister for Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad met the Home Minister Amit Shah ahead of the Cabinet meeting, with the government likely to table legislative proposal to give effect to decision concerning the state.

The cabinet meeting was scheduled with just three days of the Budget session of Parliament remaining. BJP leaders, however, argued that the security build up is to “scorch remnants of terrorism in the Valley ahead of the Assembly polls.”

Meanwhile, the state has become a fortress with deployment of over 38,000 additional security forces. Senior political leaders from the Valley have been put under house arrest. The internet and telephonic services have also been disconnected in the valley.

India vs West Indies: KL Rahul all set to break Babar Azam’s record

August 3, 2019 by Nasheman

If Rahul manages to score 121 in Saturday’s clash, he will achieve this feat in 25 innings and will break Pakistan’s Babar Azam’s record of 26 innings.

NEW DELHI: India opener KL Rahul is on the edge of a world record when his team face West Indies in the first match of the three-game rubber in Lauderhill, Florida on Saturday.

Considered as one of the finest batsman in the shortest format of the game, Rahul is 121 runs short of becoming the seventh Indian to complete 1,000 runs in T20 internationals.

If Rahul manages to score 121 in Saturday’s clash, he will achieve this feat in 25 innings and will break Pakistan’s Babar Azam’s record of 26 innings.

India skipper Virat Kohli had completed the feat in 27 innings.

It is considered that touching the three-digit mark in T20 cricket is quite difficult but the India opener has shown in the past he can go past the three-figure mark in the shortest format of the game as he scored two tons in T20I beside hitting a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, Rahul had also slammed a ton against the Windies at the same venue.

China doctors remove toothbrush from man’s belly which he swallowed 20 years ago

August 3, 2019 by Nasheman

A 51-year-old man complained about pains and told doctors it could be a toothbrush he swallowed in a suicidal attempt 20 years ago when he was diagnosed with HIV contracted from using drugs.

medicine, medical field, doctors

BEIJING: Doctors from a southern Chinese hospital removed something unusual from a man’s intestines: a 14-centimetre-long toothbrush he swallowed 20 years ago.

The No.3 People’s Hospital of Shenzhen in Guangdong province said it was among the most bizarre items doctors have found in a patient’s entrails, along with nails, coins and lighters.

The patient, a 51-year-old man surnamed Li, was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain in late June, and a CT scan revealed a mysterious item in his duodenum, Xinhua news agency reported.

Li then told doctors it could be a toothbrush he swallowed in a suicidal attempt 20 years ago when he was diagnosed with HIV contracted from using drugs. Feeling no discomfort after the failed suicide, he went on with his life and put aside the embarrassing experience.

The toothbrush stayed peacefully in his belly until 2014, when Li began to suffer from abdominal pain and gallbladder inflammation.

“The toothbrush might have stayed in the stomach and duodenum for many years before sticking into the bile duct, causing the inflammation and pain. If left untreated, it could touch the liver and result in a fatal infection,” said Liu Jialin, Li’s surgeon.

Liu said they resorted to an endoscope to retrieve the toothbrush, which had a “bare” look with all its bristles dissolved.

Li said after the suicide attempt, he renounced drugs and began HIV treatment. He later got married and his wife gave birth to two healthy children.

“I have long forgotten the toothbrush, assuming that it had expelled on its own,” he said.

SP MP MP Surendra Nagar quits Rajya Sabha to join BJP.

LUCKNOW: The Samajwadi Party on Friday suffered yet another jolt when its MP Surendra Nagar, resigned from the Rajya Sabha. He is expected to join the BJP in a day or two.

According to sources, Nagar, who is a prominent Gujjar leader from western UP, gave his resignation to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu and it has been accepted.
