St Germain Old Boys’ Association meet unites memories

The meeting of the old boys’ association of St Germain’s High School held at the school premises at Promenade Road, Fraser Town, on Sunday, united all the old students and memories.

About 600-odd alumni turned up for the meet. The day began with mass at 7am, followed by the annual general body meeting, cultural programmes and lunch. Resolutions were passed and a new alumni team constituted.

Muslims are not vote market items, treat them as own, Modi tells BJP

Kozhikode: Accusing opposition parties for propagating a “distorted definition” of secularism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday invoked Jan Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya to say that Muslims should not be treated as mere tools to garner votes nor neglected but should be treated as “own”.

Addressing the National Council meet, he vowed his commitment to his call for “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and also pitched for electoral reforms by advocating simultaneous elections of the Lok Sabha and the state assemblies.

“At a time when ‘vikrat paribhasha (distorted definition)’ of secularism is being propagated in the country and even patriotism is cursed, what should be the way to see towards Muslims?” Modi asked and recalled that long back, Upadhyaya, founding father of the Jan Sangh — the predecessor of the BJP — had said that Muslims should not be mere tools to garner votes nor neglected.

“Don’t reward nor rebuke Muslims but refine them. They are not items of vote market nor are they substance of hate. Treat them as your own,” Modi quoted Upadhyaya as saying.

“It is in this context, we have launched our developmental programmes based on the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” Modi said, adding this was not a mere slogan for his government but a commitment.

“When we talk of this idea, we talk about the last man standing in the queue… we need to empower them socially and economically. The union government is moving ahead with the vision and will now much be focussed towards it.”

Modi also stressed the need for creating an alternate politics as advocated by Upadhyaya who had always suggested that no section of people should be left neglected or considered as tools to garner votes.

“We have always tried to uphold his principles and today we again pledge ourselves to rededicate for the cause of such inclusive development,” he said.

He said it was high time we extended a helping hand to the last man — the poorest man in each corner of the country.

Reissuing his call for electoral reforms, Modi said it was imperative to strengthen democracy.

“I think this is time to bring about electoral reforms. In the centenary year of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, we can organise seminars across the country on electoral reforms,” he said.

“At least we should start brainstorming the issue, and we will see what amrit (nectar) will come out of this churning,” he said.

“To strengthen the roots of democracy, we will have to bring about electoral reforms, we will have to add a few new things, have to delete a few obsolete things from the electoral procedures,” he said.

He said that even members from other political parties have been asking him to bring about electoral reforms, but it would be better if changes emerged after thorough brainstorming.

This was at least the third time in as many months that the Prime Minister has called for electoral reforms.

Modi also announced that India will ratify the 21st Conference of Parties (CoP) protocol on combating climate change on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2.

“Now the time has come to ratify the COP21 protocol. India will do it on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2,” he said, noting Gandhi lived his life with a minimum “Carbon footprint”.

It was also on October 2 last year that India had submitted its action plan, called the ‘Intended Nationally Determined Contribution’, to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which eventually led to a deal at COP 21 in Paris in December 2015.

Earlier, paying tributes to Upadhyaya, the Prime Minister asked if politicians today can change Indian politics by following his ideals.

“Through our thinking and conduct, can we change people’s perception towards politicians? Can we become symbols of the ideals of Pandit Deendayal?” Modi said, adding that Upadhyaya gave the mantra that the Indian politics should be rooted in Indian culture.

Facebook ‘blocks accounts’ of Palestinian journalists

Account suspensions come on heels of agreement between social media giant and Israel to team up against “incitement”.

Editors from two Palestinian news publications based in the occupied West Bank say their Facebook accounts were suspended last week and that no reason was provided, alleging their pages may have been censored because of a recent agreement between the US social media giant and the Israeli government aimed at tackling “incitement”.

Last week, four editors from the Shehab News Agency, which has more than 6.3 million likes on Facebook, and three executives from the Quds News Network, with about 5.1 million likes, reported that they could not access their personal accounts.

Both agencies cover daily news in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Nisreen al-Khatib, a translator and journalist at the Quds News Network, told Al Jazeera that the publication believes the account suspensions were triggered by an agreement between Facebook and Israel earlier this month, in which they agreed to jointly combat what Israeli claims is “incitement” by Palestinians on social media.

Al-Khatib said that even Quds News Network’s non-political vertical that focuses on “entertainment” and “international news” had been suspended, although access was later restored.

“[Sharek-Quds News Agency] does not publish anything that violates Facebook standards or that could annoy governments. But still, we are targeted,” she said.

Al-Khatib said that the news agency asked Facebook for an explanation on why the accounts had been suspended “for no reason”.

Facebook replied on Saturday with an apology, saying the suspension had been “accidental”.

The three suspended accounts of Quds News Newtork journalists were unblocked over the weekend by the networking site, she said.

Remah Mubarak, manager of Shehab News Agency, said one of four managers’ accounts that had been suspended “with no warning” by the California-based tech company had still not been reactivated as of late Sunday.

“One manager’s account is still suspended,” he told Al Jazeera, adding the other three accounts were unblocked on Saturday.

Al Jazeera contacted Facebook for comment, but it did not respond by the time of publication.

Mubarak, of Shehab News, said that the “agency covers news in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and also inside Israel”.

“Maybe they don’t want this covered, especially in the West Bank, where executions have happened in recent days. Maybe that effects them on social media and they want to stop these pages to hide the proof,” he said.

Al-Khatib said the incident isn’t the first time Palestinian news sites have had issues with Facebook.

“Many other Palestinian network agencies have been shut down by Facebook for no reason actually. There are at least five Palestinian pages that have been shut down. Gaza 24 was [one of them],” she said.

‘Incitement’ crackdown

The Israeli military said on Sunday it has indicted more than 145 Palestinians so far this year for incitement over social media.

Sunday’s announcement comes amid an Israeli campaign to put an end to online postings it says have fuelled a near continuous wave of violence over the past year. Palestinians say the violence is the result of nearly 50 years of Israeli military occupation.

Since October, at least 230 Palestinians, 34 Israelis, two Americans, one Jordanian, an Eritrean and a Sudanese have been killed, according to a count by the AFP news agency.

Shortly after news broke earlier this month of the agreement between the Israeli government and Facebook, Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said Tel Aviv had submitted 158 requests to the social media giant over the previous four months asking it to remove content it deemed “incitement”. She said Facebook had granted 95 percent of the requests.

Over the summer, an Israeli legal advocacy group – connected to the Israeli army and intelligence agencies -filed a $1bn lawsuit against Facebook claiming the company was violating the US Anti-Terrorism Act by providing services that assist groups in “recruiting, radicalising and instructing terrorists”.

But rights groups and monitors argue that activists and journalists, not “terrorists”, are often the target of incitement charges.

Kohli praises lower-order batting performance against New Zealand

Kanpur: Indian Test cricket skipper Virat Kohli on Monday said the teams lower-order batting performance has improved and that is the area they need to keep working on to win more matches.

At the post-match presentation, the Delhi batsman said that those 40-50 runs from that lower-middle order can provide much strength to the team even when they play in overseas conditions.

Ravindra Jadeja scored unbeaten 42 and 50 runs in the first and second innings respectively, while Ashwin contributed 40 runs in the first essay during the opening Test, which India won by 197 runs at the Green Park here.

“They think they can get you out for 300 but you end up getting 340-360 and thus the momentum shifts from the opposition. We have improved in this area and we need to keep working on it because those 40-50 runs will be crucial when we play abroad,” Kohli said.

“One of the most important things in Test cricket is to have a strong lower order who can contribute and this is one area we are working hard with the bowlers, everyone from Ashwin onwards wants to contribute and that puts a psychological dent on the opposition.”

Kohli said, “The boys have applied themselves really well. Few moments we were in a spot of bother. Initially we had momentum with us when we were batting but then couple of soft dismissals and we were on the backfoot. But Jadeja and Ashwin batted really well in the first innings. Umesh also contributed and those 30-40 runs make a psychological difference.”

Kohli, who termed as “memorable” the win in the historic 500th Test, also lauded New Zealand for showing character and guts to fight it out despite being in a tough position when they were set a target of 434 by India.

“It has been a memorable Test match. It has been very good right from the second day onwards when New Zealand were batting really well, and me and Ashwin were chatting that it is going to be an exciting Test and we have to play our best to keep them under pressure,” he said.

“They showed good resilience and resistance and that is something you want to see from opposition. I think credit goes to New Zealand as well, the reason that match went on to the second session on day 5 because of the character and guts that they showed. I am sure the series will get more competitive as we go on,” Kohli added.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson said that his side took positives from the Test.

The skipper also lauded his players, especially Mitchell Santner, for efforts with the bat and ball and Luke Ronchi’s 80-run inning.

“There are lots of positives and lessons which we will take from this match to the next one. It is really two sessions where the match slipped out of our hands and India capitalised,” he said.

“They were fantastic, especially today as it is not easy with the ball turning sharply and against a couple of world class spinners. So, the way Mitchell Santner (71) contributed with the bat and ball was impressive and Luke Ronchi (80) also coming into the side and doing well,” Williamson said.

PSLVC-35 with 8 satellites lifts off; SCATSAT injected in orbit

Sriharikota: In its longest-ever flight, the PSLV C-35, carrying India’s SCATSAT-1 meant for ocean and weather studies and seven other satellites including from the US and Canada, today lifted off from the spaceport, here.

The launch marked PSLV’s longest mission spread over two hours and it is the first time that the rocket is putting its payloads in two different orbits. The 44.4 metre tall PSLV rocket blasted off at 9.12 AM and 17 minutes later injected SCATSAT-1 in orbit.

“SCATSAT-1 has been successfully injected in orbit,” ISRO said. The 371 kg SCATSAT, the primary satellite meant for weather forecasting, cyclone detection and tracking, was first injected in a Polar Sunsynchronous Orbit (SSO) orbit while the seven others will be injected in a lower orbit after over two hours, the first time the rocket is putting its payloads in two different orbits. The total weight of all the eight satellites onboard is about 675 kg.

Besides SCATSAT-1, the PSLV rocket is carrying two Indian university satellites, three from Algeria and one each from the US and Canada. SCATSAT-1 is a “continuity” mission for the Ku-band scatterometer payload carried by SCATSAT-1, which has enhanced features compared to a similar one carried by Oceansat-2 satellite in 2009.

The two academic satellites are PRATHAM, from IIT, Bombay, and PISAT, from BES University, Bengaluru and its consortium. While PRATHAM’s objective is to estimate Total Electron Count, PISAT’s mission is to design and develop a nanosatellite for remote sensing applications.

The foreign satellites onboard the PSLV are ALSAT-1B, ALSAT-2B and ALSAT-1N (all from Algeria) and Pathfinder-1 and NLS-19, from USA and Canada, respectively.

George back in cabinet after clean chit in DySP suicide case

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Minister K J George was today reinducted into the Siddaramaiah ministry, close on the heels of being given a clean chit by the CID in a case related to the alleged suicide of a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

 

George, a close confidant of the Chief Minister, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Vajubhai Vala at a ceremony held in Raj Bhavan.

George had resigned on July 18, soon after a court in Madikeri in Kodagu district directed police to register an FIR against him and two police officers in connection with the suicide of 51-year-old M K Ganapathy.

Ganapathy was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a room at a lodge in Madikeri on July 7, prior to which he gave an interview to a local TV channel saying the Minister and AM Prasad (now Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety) and Pranab Mohanty (now on central deputation as Additional Deputy Director General of UIDAI) would be responsible “if anything happens to me.”

The court had issued directions based on a private criminal complaint by Ganapathy’s son, Nehal, requesting it to direct police to take up investigation against the minister and the officers for allegedly abetting his father’s suicide.

Karnataka CID, which investigated the case, on September 17 gave a clean chit to George and two senior police officers in its ‘B’ report, filed in a court in Madikeri.

George is likely to retain Bengaluru Development and Town Planning portfolio, which he had held when he stepped down amid a huge political storm in the state with the Opposition gunning for him. He had also held the Home portfolio earlier.

With the reinduction of George, the strength of the Siddaramaiah ministry now stands at 34, the maximum constitutional limit for the state. Siddaramaiah, his cabinet colleagues, Congress legislators and senior government officials were present at the swearing-in.

Both opposition parties BJP and JD(S) have taken exception to the reinduction of George. Earlier this month, Siddaramaiah on September 5 had expanded his Cabinet by inducting M Krishnappa into his Ministry.

In a major revamp of his ministry on June 20, the Chief Minister had sacked 14 ministers and inducted 13 members into his Council of Ministry which had led to discontent within the Congress with several senior leaders openly coming out against the party’s state leadership.

Ahead of the CID filing its report in the Madikeri court, Ganapathy’s father and brother had moved the High Court, seeking a CBI probe into his death for a free, fair and impartial investigation which they said “could not be expected from the CID”.

Ganapathy’s father M K Kushalappa and brother M K Machaiah, who suspected foul play in the death of the police officer, had contended that CID was likely to close the probe with a “B” report by giving a “clean chit” to George and the two police officials.

No more water for TN: Karnataka tells Supreme Court

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Monday filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking modification of its September 20 order directing the state to release 6,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka explained to the court that it is not in a position to release any more water to Tamil Nadu due to low storage in its reservoirs in the Cauvery basin. It said that the 42,000 cusecs of water, should be treated as ‘arrears’ and can be released by the end of December.

The state also brought to the court’s notice the resolution passed by both the Houses of the legislature on September 23, that the existing water in the Cauvery basin reservoirs in Karnataka should be used only for drinking purpose and not for any other needs.

Though the Supervisory Committee headed by Union Water Resources Secretary Shashi Shekhar asked Karnataka to release 3,000 cusecs water from September 21 to September 30, the Court later directed the state to release 6,000 cusecs water till September 27.

The 6th Birth Anniversary of the Late Feroz Khan has just went by on 25th Sept, 2016

Feroz Khan was an actor-producer-director- editor of Hindi Cinema. So present herewith is a just a small tribute to the Late Feroz Khan.

To start off Feroz Khan was known for his flamboyant style, with cow boyish swagger & cigar toting persona; this revolutionized the style quotient of the otherwise conventional “Filmy” hero. He was also known as the style icon of Bollywood.

Firoz Khan had appeared in over 50 films in the 1960s, 1970s & 1980s, and became one of India’s Best-Loved heroes with his role in the 1980’s hit film Qurbani, which he had also directed. Firoz Khan followed this multi-disciplinary achievement by directing more successful films like Dayavan (1988) & Janbaaz (1986). He had 1st won the Black Lady namely the Filmfare “Best Supporting Actor” award for Aadmi Aur Insaan in 1970 and was also honored with the Filmfare “Lifetime Achievement” award in 2000.

A little peekaboo in his earlier life will not be out of place at this juncture. Firoz Khan was born on 25th Sept, 1939 in Bangalore, India, to an Afghan immigrant. His father belonged to Tanoli Tribe of Pathan ethnicity from the Ghazni province of Afghanistan, while his mother was of Persian background.

Firoz Khan was educated in Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, Bangalore & St. Germain High School, Bangalore. His brothers are Sanjay Khan (Abbas Khan), Shahrukh Shah Ali Khan, Sameer Khan & Akbar Khan. His sisters are Khurshid Shahnavar & Dilshad Begum Sheikh, popularly known as Dilshad Bibi. After his schooling in Bangalore, he headed straight to the Mekkah of Bollywood where he made his debut as a 2nd lead in a film called Didi in the year 1960.

Firoz Khan had smoothly made the beginning of his filmy career and thereafter it was a smoot sailing as far as his filmy career is concerned. Through the early 1960s & 1970s, he made low-budget thrillers opposite starlets. In 1962, he appeared in an English-language film titled Tarzan Goes To India opposite Simi Garewal. Incidentally speaking his 1st big hit was in 1965, with Phani Majumdar’s Oonche Log, where he was pitted against screen idols Raaj Kumar & Ashok Kumar in which he had given a notably sensitive performance. But sadly enough this was followed by some more small budget hit films like Samson, Ek Sapera Ek Lutera, Char Darvesh et al. But then again, in the same year, he had enacted the role of a sacrificing lover in the mushy musical movie Arzoo, starring Sadhana. With this movie Firoz Khan earned his entry into the A-list of 2nd leads. With the film Aadmi Aur Insaan (1969), Firoz Khan won his debut Filmfare award for “Best Actor” in a Supporting Role. His other hit films of those times were Khotey Sikkay, Geeta Mera Naam, Pyasi Sham, Shankar Shambhu & Safar. Firoz Khan had also appeared alongside his real-life brother Sanjay Khan in some of the superhit films like Upaasna (1967), Mela (1971) & Nagin (1976).

Later on had turned into a successful producer & director in the year of 1971 so as to improve his career opportunities as a leading man with his 1st directorial film Apradh, which also happened to be the 1st Indian movie showing auto racing in Germany; Mumtaaz was his co-star. Firoz Khan had also produced, directed and starred in the 1975 film superhit Dharmatma, which also happened to be the 1st Indian film to be shot in Afghanistan and was also his 1st ever blockbuster hit as a producer, director and star and had also marked the appearance of Drean Girl Hema Malini in a glamorous avatar. This movie was inspired by the Hollywood film The Godfather.

To continue further, throughout the late 1970s & 1980s, he was a leading Bollywood star, directing & starring in many of his films. Thereafter he had also starred in the Punjabi film Bhagat Dhanna Jat (1974). But the 1980 film Qurbani, with Zeenat Aman, was the biggest hit of his career and had also launched the singing career of the iconic Pakistani pop singer Nazia Hassan, with her memorable track “Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Zindagi Mein Aaye”. In 1986, Firoz Khan had also directed & starred in Janbaaz, another film which was declared a superhit film at the Box-Office turnstiles, which some considered it to be one of his Best Movie. It featured an all-star cast and was possessed of great songs & excellent cinematography. In 1988, Firoz Khan had directed & starred in Dayavan, which was a remake of a South Indian film titled Nayagan. After directing & starring in Yalgaar (1992), Firoz Khan had taken a long break from acting for an unbelievable 11 years.

Firoz Khan had then made his comeback as a filmmaker in Bollywood by launching his son Fardeen Khan’s career with the 1998 film Prem Aggan, which had, however, proved to be a Bomb at Box-Office turnstiles. And In 2003, he had made his acting comeback as well as produced & directed Janasheen, which had also starred his son Fardeen Khan. By the way he had always used performing animals in his films, like a chimpanzee & a lion were used in Janasheen, but People for Animals (PFA) Haryana chairman Naresh Kadyan had moved a complaint in the court of law at Faridabad for animal cruelty and a legal action as per law against the producer, director & actor.

Once again Firoz Khan had starred alongside his son Fardeen Khan in a film called Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena (2005) and had made his last film appearance in Welcome (2007). Welcome has been one of the Best Comedy films made in recent time in which he had worked with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor & Katrina Kaif. And of course Welcome was also declared as a blockbuster movie that year at the Box-Office turnstiles.

In realty Feroz Khan was always ahead of his time in terms of his unmatchable style, which had reflected in his movies & music. His movies like Qurbani & Dharmatma are the cult favorite films in Hindi cinema.

Now this was a shocker as in May, 2006, Feroz Khan was blacklisted by the then Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf when he went there to promote his brother’s film, Taj Mahal. In an intelligence report submitted to Musharraf, he was said to have gotten drunk & insulted Pakistani singer & anchor Fakhr-E-Alam and criticising the country by averring, “I am a proud Indian. India is a secular country. The Muslims there are making a lot of progress unlike in Pakistan. Our President is a Muslim & our Prime Minister a Sikh. Pakistan was made in the name of Islam, but look how the Muslims are killing Muslims here.”

Pakistan’s high commission in India and the foreign & interior ministries were subsequently directed to deny Feroz Khan a visa in the future.

Time to know just a little bit about Feroz Khan’s personal life. He had married Sundari Khan in 1965, but divorced her in 1985. They had 2 children, Laila Khan (born in 1970) & Fardeen Khan (born in 1974). Fardeen Khan was married to Natasha Madhwani, daughter of former Bollywood actress Mumtaz. He also has a granddaughter named Diani Isabella Khan born on 12th Dec, 2013 and a grandson named Zaan Funiturewala born on 9th Mar, 2015.

And then it was curtains down for Firoz Khan as he died as a result of lung cancer on 27th Apr, 2009 at the age of 69 in Bangalore.

As mentioned earlier Firoz Khan had finally succumbed to a battle with lung cancer on 27th Apr, 2009. During his illness he had returned to rest at his farmhouse in Bangalore.

Ultimately he was laid to rest in his beloved Bangalore near to his mother’s grave at Hosur Road Shia Kabristan with 1000’s in attendance which included his close family, dear friends and also notable celebrities of Indian film industry. Till this date he is remembered for his larger than life presence & excellence in cinema.

As a parting shot present herewith is Firoz Khan’s all time career achievements: He had won accolades and several awards namely Filmfare “Best Supporting Actor” award for Aadmi Aur Insaan (1971), Bangalore Film Journalist Award (BFJA) for “Best Supporting Actor” for Aadmi Aur Insaan (1971), Filmfare Nomination as “Best Supporting Actor” for Safar (1971), Filmfare Nomination as “Best Supporting Actor” for International Crook (1975), Filmfare “Lifetime Achievement” Award (2001), Filmfare Nomination as “Best Villain” for Janasheen (2004), IIFA Award for “Best Performance” in a Negative Role in 2004, Zee Cine Award for “Lifetime Achievement” in 2008 & “Pride Of The industry” at the Max Stardust Awards 2009.

An Interview With Actor Nishant Kumar

Nishant Kumar, a tall, dark & handsome dude hails from Patna. He happens to be a trained actor and is now all set to make his debut with a much talked about film namely Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death.

How about giving us your brief introduction?

I hail from Patna and I am very passionate about acting since I was that high and you won’t believe this but right since the day I had crossed the 14 summers of my life I had started indulging myself in anchoring and moreover I also started doing varied programmes on Zee Tv but of course all this was in Patna.

What happened then?

And then since I was not getting the right opportunity I honed up my acting skills in Marwah Studio in Noida where I also acquired a Diploma in Cinema and headed straight to Bollywood. Out here too I brushed up my acting skills in Anupam Kher’s acting school.

How did you bag your debut movie Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death?

After finishing my acting course I sort of kept my eyes & years open for a good project and luckily this movie project Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death just fell into my lap but I would rather say that it was more of a friendly or rather a family affair.

Ok! What is your role in Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death?

First of all I would say that the film Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death clearly has a backdrop of “Terrorism” and I play the role of one of the dreaded Don. In fact it is an amalgamation of all the “Terrorist” activities put together and believe me Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death is also a patriotic film to the core. And in the end one of the evil man is sent to the gallows to be hanged till death. There have been cases where people fighting for their country have been sent to gallows too, but in return they were also declared a martyr. So this time one of the evil man is sent to the gallows to be hanged till death yehi hai judgement and the reasons are shockingly surprising. All in all Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death is a good entertaining & musically oriented romantic film too. In fact you will find all the colorful & dark shades in my character of Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death.

What would you like to say about your co-star Neetu Wadhwa?

I would that say she is good. She is very cooperative & helpful. We vibed well & shared a great chemistry on the sets.

What would you say about your director of Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death?

My director Mann Kumar has crafted this film Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death very painstakingly. I would say he is brilliant and the way he used to explain each & every scene it used to become just like a piece of calkwalk for us. He even left us a lot of room for improvisation. I could not have asked a better film as a debut than Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death.

Lastly tell us what are the highlights of Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death?

Without blinking my eyes I can safely say that music is the finest & the best highlight of Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death. All the numbers are soothing, melodious, meliflous & foot tapping too. In fact our music director Mahesh Rakesh have designed the entire musical package of Yeh Hai Judgement Hanged Till Death in such a way that it has all the colors & shades. In fact all the numbers are too good, but my personal favourites are “Rabba”, “Jashn Manale” & above all “Vandematram”. That’s it!!!

New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday faced ire from a local during a road show.

A man hurled shoe at the Congress vice-president during a road show in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. The shoe missed the mark.

The man who hurled the shoe has been identified as Hari Om Mishra. He is a local journalist.

He has been detained by police.

Reportedly, the shoe attacker was upset with Rahul Gandhi’s Kisan Yatra as he feels that the Congress vice-president is aware of ground reality and plight of farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

BJP had mocked Rahul Gandhi’s Kisan Yatra, dismissing it as “seasonal expression of sympathy in the season of elections” and claimed that while states ruled by it have seen maximum agricultural growth, those by Congress were known for cases of “land-grab”.
