Shriya is paired alongside Aravind Swamy in the film that also features Sundeep Kishan & Indrajith as the principal cast. Mani Ratnam & Bharathiraja For Karthik Subbaraj

The shooting of director Karthik Subbaraj’s next, starring Prabhu Deva has been wrapped up. Now we learn that the film will be formally launched in a grand event to be held in a star hotel in Chennai. Veteran directors Bharathiraja & Mani Ratnam are expected to participate in this event which was held on Friday 23rd Jun, 2017. More details about the Karthik Subbaraj – Prabhu Deva film was made during the launch event. As of now we know that Santhosh Narayanan is rendering the musical score & Tirru is the cinematographer of this project.

The “Surviva” song from Thala Ajith’s Vivegam has become a huge hit and started setting new records. The makers are planning to launch the music album of Vivegam on 27th Jul, 2017th which falls on a Thurs. However we need to wait for an official confirmation about the audio release. Vivegam directed by Siva & produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner is getting ready to hit the screens in Aug, 2017. Anirudh has rendered the musical score for the film.

Simbu with his star power has created a huge expectation for his upcoming movie Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan directed by Adhik Ravichandran & produced by Michael Rayappan. The film releasing on 23rd Jun, 2017 is already a record breaker. Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan is hitting close to 1000 theaters around the globe which is the highest in Simbu’s career. Vishal’s Writes A Letter To Edappadi Pazhaniswamy

Vishal has written a letter to Tamilnadu CM Edappadi Pazhaniswamy, urging him to completely forfeit the loans that the farmers owe to banks. The Producer’s Council chief & Nadigar Sangam Secretary in his request has brought to the CM’s notice that following the Uttar Pradesh & Maharashtra governments, Punjab too has forfeited the loans of their farmers. Vishal has humbly requested Edappadi Pazhaniswamy to take into account the plight of the poverty ridden farmers of the state and cancel the loan repayments which will not only light up their lives now but also make their futures bright.

Sivakarthikeyan & Vijay Sethupathi are the 2 top heroes of the current generation of stars and it is a great idea to make Sivakarthikeyan release the trailer of VS’s film. It is to be noted that it was Sivakarthikeyan who released the trailer of Irudhi Suttru from the same producer last year which turned out to be a blockbuster and also won many awards & critical acclaim.
Kamal Haasan Flies Abroad

All the roadblocks pertaining to Vishwaroopam 2 have been removed and Kamal Haasan has begun shooting the remaining few portions in Turkey which will continue for a few days there. In the 1st week of Jul, 2017 some more scenes will be shot in Chennai after which the post – production will be completed and efforts are on to release the magnum opus within this year. Vishwaroopam 2 directed by Kamal Haasan has Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremaiah, Shekar Kapur & Rahul Bose in the cast with Gibran providing the musical score. The film will release as a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi.

Recently birthday girl Kajal Aggarwal had a chat session with her fans & followers in Twitter. As usual she was flooded with questions of Ilayathalapathy Vijay & Thala Ajith by the Thala – Thalapathy fans in Twitter. When a person asked about her role in the much expected Vivegam with Ajith Kumar, Kajal averred, “I am playing a character’s friend and I play a girl who exemplifies strength and a lot of character. It was a pleasure working with the team.” When asked about Ajith as a person, the Thuppakki actress averred, “Have tremendous respect for him as an actor and a person.” And when a fan wanted her to define her Thuppakki, Jilla & Thalapathy 61 co – star Vijay, she averred, “Extremely sweet co – actor, fabulous actor”. Rajinikanth has been getting more political visitors than before in recent times after his speeches during the fans meet hinting about his political entry. Recently, Hindu Makkal Katchi founder Arjun Sampath met the Superstar at his Poes Garden Residence in Chennai. After meeting Rajinikanth, Arjun Sampath addressed the media persons and here is the crux of what he spoke: “Rajinikanth is very much worried about Tamil Nadu and he wants to change the entire system. He is always thinking about the development of Tamil Nadu and the interlinking of national rivers such as Ganga & Cauvery. We made an appeal to Rajinikanth to come to politics & save Tamil Nadu. The Dravidian parties since 1967 have ruined Tamil Nadu. We want someone like Rajinikanth who has accepted Nationality & divinity. We requested him to enter politics and we will back him.” Asked about the response of Rajinikanth, the leader said “His response was very good. He is keen to do something for Tamil people who have given him a good life. He promised me that he will consider over the request.” A hardcore Hindutva leader meeting Rajinikanth in connection to politics is expected to strengthen the argument that the sexagenarian star will either join BJP or support it after entering politics. However Rajinikanth, while speaking to media persons said that he did not discuss anything about politics with Arjun Sampath and it was just a courtesy meeting.

An upcoming movie that is creating a lot of curiosity over its relateable subject is Kootathil Oruthan that deals with the college middle benchers. The film directed by Gnanavel has Ashok Selvan & Priya Anand as the lead pair, while Samuthirakani, Nassar & Bala Saravanan play other important roles. The Kootathil Oruvan team has decided to release a promo song for the film which will feature Suriya, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Vishnu Vishal, Sivakumar, Nassar, R. J. Nayanthara Replaces Shruti Haasan!!!

Thenadal Studios announced their magnum opus, Sangamithra directed by Sundar C at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with Shruti Haasan in the titular role as a warrior queen & Jayam Ravi & Arya in the lead heroes. However due to creative differences, Shruti walked out of the film. Now it is reported that the Sangamithra team is keen on bringing Nayanthara on board and that negotiations have begun. There are also reports from some sources that a very high remuneration has been quoted to the lady superstar whose only reluctance is that the long duration of the production could affect her other projects. It is understood that if the required dates are very clear and if there is no problem in her shooting for other projects in the middle, Nayan could well be the new Sangamithra.

8 Different Looks For Vijay Sethupathi!!!

In his upcoming film, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in 8 different looks. The actor plays a tribal in the film that his character has no reference, avers the film’s director Arumuga Kumar. Arumuga Kumar avers that he was stunned by Vijay Sethupathi’s dedication for the 8 getups and ensures that it would be a treat for the actor’s fans. “We have completed major portions of the film, Gautham Karthik also plays an equally important role along with Vijay Sethupathi”, adds Arumuga Kumar. Touted to be a comedy drama, Niharika Konidela plays the female lead in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, the film also has Ramesh Thilak in a pivotal role & Justin Prabhakaran of Oru Naal Koothu fame is composing the music.

Simran To Enact The Role of An Antagonist

Yesteryear’s dream girl Simran has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Sivakarthikeyan’s new film with director Ponram. That apart Simran plays the antagonist in the film along with Malayalam actor Lal while Napoleon will be seen as Sivakarthikeyan’s dad. Samantha is Sivakarthikeyan’s romantic interest in this action entertainer and the actress has learned Silambam for her character. Ponram’s regular Soori is in charge for comic portions, the film also has Yogi Babu & Manobala in important roles. RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios is bankrolling the film, which will have music composed by Imman & Balasubramaniem takes care of the visuals. The film also has extensive VFX work for which the team has signed RC Kamalakannan of Puli & Baahubali 2 fame. The as yet – untitled film is likely to release in Summer 2018.

Vishnu Vishal’s Minimini Title Changed

Touted to be a psycho thriller, the makers feel that Ratchasan would be more appropriate for the genre & storyline. Vishnu Vishal plays an aspiring filmmaker turned cop in the film & Amala Paul plays a school teacer in Ratchasan, which is being directed by Ram of Mundasupatti fame. Dilli Babu of Axess Film Factory is producing Ratchasan for which Ghibran of Uttama Villain fame is composing the music. Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal’s Katha Nayagan has opted out of Ramzan race as the makers feel that they don’t want to compete with too many films.

THE EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY OF THE FAKIR, directed by Ken Scott and starring Dhanush, rolled in Mumbai this week. The film produced by Brio Films, Vamonos Films, M! Capital Ventures, Little Red Car Films, Impact Films, Aurora Global Media Capital, Scope Pictures, TF1 Studio & Aleph Motion Pictures, is based on “The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir” who got trapped in an IKEA wardrobe” by Romain Puertolas. The film has a conglomeration of production houses from 3 different continents. The film is expected to be shot in Mumbai (India), Brussels (Belgium), Rome (Italy) & Paris (France). Starring Dhanush as Fakir, the film marks an extraordinary journey in the life of Aja aka Ajatshatru (Dhanush). After the death of his mother, the Fakir takes on a journey to track down his father, a man he never knew. From falling in love to brushing shoulders with a Hollywood star, to dodging hit – men and being held as a hostage in a bureaucratic war the Fakir’s life goes hilariously awry the moment he steps into Parisian soil. The film also stars French actor Bérénice Bejo (known for the Oscar Winner The Artist), American actor Erin Moriarty (last seen in Blood Father with Mel Gibson) & Somalian American actor Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips) amongst others. Amit Trivedi has also composed 2 Hindi songs in the film.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s RAAGDESH is all set to release on 28th Jul, 2017. NARGIS FAKHRI TURNS SINGER TEAMS UP WITH SINGER – COMPOSER PARICHAY

Nargis Fakhri has partnered with singer – composer Parichay & Canadian musician Kardinal Offishall for a racy new track. American model – actress Nargis Fakhri who debuted in Bollywood with the film ROCKSTAR has been living it up in Los Angeles for the last 8 months. And now she is back in B town to promote her singing debut, an Indo – Canadian single, “Habitaan Vigaad Di“. Written by Kumaar, the song also features singer – composer Parichay, best known for his racy track “Aaj Phir Peene Ki Tamannah Hai“ from Loveshhuda, and reggae artiste & musician Kardinal Offishall, who frequently collaborates with Akon. Nargis features as a “fantasy chick“in the music video and has crooned the Punjabi chorus. Parichay had composed 2 tracks and had sent it to LA out of which Nargis picked up the track she loved the most. The duo filmed the video in Toronto, showcasing the city’s popular 1800 – feet high communication’s tower and other amazing views of the city. “To give the song an East – meets West flavor, the team brought mainstream Canadian rap – legend Kardinal on – board to record and film with Nargis & Parichay. Nargis, who doesn’t speak Hindi or Punjabi, insisted that she didn’t want her accent to sound disrespectful, so she rehearsed extensively“ For the main chorus line, she gave 100 takes because she couldn’t get the Punjabi lyrics right. She made sure to learn the correct pronunciation of every word from Parichay. Parichay & Nargis are again teaming up for another track, in which the actress will have a lot more vocals, and soon Nargis & Parichay will show up at clubs in the city and surprise revelers with a live musical performance of their track.

KUMAIL NANJIANI’S BREAKTHROUGH COMEDY ‘THE BIG SICK’ TO HIT INDIAN SCREENS ON 30th JUN 2017

Based on Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani’s real life, Co – written by and starring along with his wife Emily V. Gordon, THE BIG SICK will release in India later this month. This rom – com is being brought to India by MVP Entertainment, read a statement from the production company. Director Michael Showalter’s film also features Anupam Kher, Shehnaz Treasury, Holly Hunter, Ray Romano, Bo Burnham & Aidy Bryant. THE BIG SICK narrates the story of Pakistan born aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani), who connects with grad student Emily (Kazan) after one of his standup sets. However, what they thought would be just a one -night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents. The actress marked her 36th birthday by moving into a newly – purchased bungalow in LA. Sunny Leone recently brought herself a swanky bunglow in LA on her 36th birthday. Sunny recently had moved into a sprawling bungalow in Sherman Oaks, a 30 – minute drive away from the famed Beverly Hills, which she has bought recently. The area is known for its spectacular Hollywood celebrity homes. The house, which boasts of 5 bedrooms, a swimming pool, home – theatre, an expansive garden and outdoor dining area, is 5 minutes away from the iconic “Hollywood” sign. “Sunny & I had wanted this property for a really long time. We got possession just this week. We have shopped for all the artefacts in Italy, Rome & Spain. The house reflects our personalities & tastes. We have been travelling the world shopping for the décor,” Daniel said from Los Angeles. There’s a 2 foot bronze statue of Lord Ganesha at the entrance & 4 foot hand – carved stupas from Nepal in the front yard. “We’ve just moved in and are excited about exploring the neighborhood,” Daniel exulted. Bollywood is not only getting official permissions but also giving credit to the original filmmakers. The original filmmaker of the film OCULUS, Mike Flanagan, has supported & loved the content of the film from day one. He has agreed to go all out & promote the film. Produced by B4U Motion Pictures in association with Zahhak Films, the film stars Huma Qureshi, Saqib Salim, Lisa Ray, Adil Hussain, Madalina Bellariu & Rhea Chakraborty. The film is slated slated for 2nd Jun, 2017 release.

VIVEK OBEROI FOLLOWS FATHER SURESH OBEROI’S FOOTSTEPS!!!

Vivek Oberoi who was seen playing a tough cop in BANK CHOR, took inspiration from his father & veteran actor Suresh Oberoi. For his character in the movie, Vivek wanted to look tough & realised that his father’s disposition from his yesteryear films would be perfect. Sources suggest, Vivek discussed this idea with his father, who was surprised to know that his casual look had inspired him so much that he decided to emulate his style in his upcoming film. He informs, “My father has played the role of a police officer in several films. I was inspired by his towering personality, his rich baritone & the execution of these roles. Since I play a cop in my next, watching few of his films helped.”
